Ecton Physical Description Name: Ecton Race: Human Age: 20 Birthday: Summer 27, 491 Height: 5' 11" Weight: 160 lbs A moderately-built figure, Ecton's body is mostly covered by his clothing. His eyes are a grey-blue color, his hair short and black. His outfit is green and brown, which helps him to blend into the wilds that he frequents, and is appropriate for such an environment. His skin is lightly tanned, his hands with relatively long fingers. Character Concept Ecton is highly inward. Insightful and intelligent, he is good at figuring out problems. He always liked to read, but at this point in his life he does not get to do so very much. He likes to carve wood, and it is often a method of self-expression, though not always. The really off-putting thing about him is that he is so quiet - in most situations, he hardly ever talks at all. He can bargain, but socially, he simply clams up. It may be that it takes a while for him to open up to and trust somebody, but usually his speech is limited to terse replies, or pointing out something. Internally he aknowledges his loneliness, but he cannot bring himself to trust in others easily. He has a good understanding of the wild, and can survive there for a good period. He reveres Eyris, but like everything else, he does not talk about this at any length. Many would expect him to be adept at magic, but he does not practice any, due to an event in his past. Oddly, tends to tap in a rhythmic sequence, suggesting he may have untapped musical talent. When asked about it, he just says that he is keeping time with a song he is thinking about. He has never loved anybody in a non-familial way. Morals and Ethics: Though ambivalent towards authority, he generally tries to do good things in general. He is not Machiavellian, but tends to want to go his own way. He does not impose his thoughts or beliefs on others, and does not like those who do. Likes: Reading, wood carving, plants, water. Dislikes: Talkative people, people who try to force their beliefs on others. (More will be added as time goes on.) Character History Ecton came from Lhavit, in The Zintia. His father, a wizard, went to the other peaks on business frequently, while his mother stayed home and kept the family running. His family followed Eyris, which rubbed off on him. He has an older brother, but he is quite a bit older than Ecton is, so they never really had much in the way of competition, as they were always on different levels. One day, when Ecton was ten, his father never came back. He was told by a man who had apparently been working with his father that his father had died in a magical accident. His mother was heartbroken, but carried on. She never really was the same, though, and the potential for magic within him was forever unused due to the impact that his father's death had had on himself and his mother. Instead, he became something of an outdoorsman. He gained expertise in the area's wild from his uncle, who was quite the wildman. From his uncle he learned how to survive in the wild, how to use a bow, tracking, rudimentary medicine, and how to carve wood. This last thing was something that became a hobby for him, and he liked to make carvings of a variety of things.
