And so it was that our self proclaimed hero Eclair found herself traversing the lush forests of the Spires, not exactly the warm sands she was aclimated to but she wasnt one to whine. Despite being awesome; unfortunately for the Dhani, she was no master of traverse. Map held sideways perhaps upside down she followed with a certain level of uncertainty. One foot infront of the other, for days for months for years if asked she would never admit to being lost. Hell to the no, she was like a wizard she would arive precisely when she means to even if she was a day late and a dollar short.
Lost in that haze, she went down down down and the flames went higher. Bewildered that she had somehow managed to go from point A which was Ahntep to Z which was this nut job jungle of misery and dismay.
But then add a few flagons of mead to a wild night on the town then awaken in a forest naked tied to a tree slathered in honey next to a french tickler and you might think some things, some really unpleasant things unless you were smart and realized that she was walking and couldnt possibly have been tied to a tree.
Truthfuly her journey had been less exciting, a drunken journey maybe into the desert for glory and booty but no booty and no glory and no spoils meant no brew.
Either way it had been a wham bam thank you mam journey, a fruitless endeavor.
Perhaps the critters were crunchy or lip smacking tastey, furry friends that would not cry or beg for mercy before being nom nomed to the death god; a new meaning to snap, crackle pop.
A friend would be nice but really she couldnt bro talk with her food, that just wasnt the Dhani way. If she had friends what would they say if they caught her playing with her food? Not terribly nice things, not likely at all.
She smiled wickedly with a passionate level of malevolant glee, a particular kind of viciousness or ferocity that was as cruel as it was twisted and sick. The kind of pleasure that comes from the pain and suffering of others, they had a word for that. Schadenfreude to which she was its personification.
