Basic Information Race: Human Birthday & Age: Spring 488 AV (24 years old) Gender: Female Physical Description Cobalt is a human woman who looks slightly younger for her age. Her wide dark chocolate eyes contrast with her light blonde hair, and her complexion is smooth, with no flaws or scars visible. She stands slightly taller than five feet, and looks fairly lithe to be carrying around the bag and lute on her back. With that 'girl-next-door' look, she's normally seen in simple clothes, light shirts and slacks, with a pair of brown leather boots on her feet. She avoids showing off too much of her body if she can help it, but when money begins looking low, she'll dress how she needs to in order to gain attention. Despite her skills with strings, her fingertips don't look too terribly calloused. Playing music is the only time she looks or feels truly relaxed. Character Concept Cobalt is a mixed bag; she's pretty carefree, though also knows when to be cautious and throw up her defenses. She trusts no one. The bard, while not bi-polar, can change moods drastically from time to time, from giggly and flirty to sarcastic and blunt. She talks to anyone fairly easily, even if she doesn't particularly care for them, but in the end it's all about the goal of lining her pockets. The three things she truly enjoys: making music, making money, and a loving touch, the last of those three often getting her into trouble. Likes - Making music, hearing music, earning money, spending money, drinking, and enjoying the company of the attractive type. Dislikes - A lack of money, a lack of booze, writer's block, and being used by those she gets close or attached to. Character History Cobalt Ravenguard grew up as the lone daughter of Magnus and Layla Ravenguard. Her father was a craftsman, talented in blacksmithing and woodworking, and could create nearly anything he set his mind to with his hands. Her mother was a singer with a beautiful voice, but never used her talent as a line of work, opting to work smaller jobs while her husband brought in a majority of their income. At a young age, Cobalt decided she also wanted to learn more about music. Her father, seeing her interest grow, crafted a lute for her. She taught herself how to play it, how to write music, and how to sing. After many years, once she felt she was ready, Cobalt told her parents she wanted to see the world, write songs about her adventures, and maybe one day make it big. She left home, and roamed around Sylrias and its surrounding edges before deciding to travel further. Moderator Intervention Greetings! I am Verilian, one of the Storyteller's here on Mizahar, and I noticed a few issues with your character sheet. No worries though, I'm here to help. 1.) The part of your history involving being changed from a man to a woman needs to be approved in the Help Desk. Simply create a thread with your request and one of the founders will get back to you. 2.) Stringed Instruments and Wind Instruments are not appropriate skills. You need to have a separate skill for each musical instrument. For example, Play Musical Instrument (Lute), Play Musical Instrument (Flute), ect. - Fixed 3.) Songwriting is not a skill in Mizahar. It would better fit under the skill Music Composition. Also see Composition and Writing. - Fixed 4.) Your racial bonus cannot be split into two different skills. All 15 points have to go into one skill. - Fixed 5.)I noticed you do not have any Lores. Lores are bits of information your character knows that always stay the same. Since you are starting in Syliras, I suggest Lore of Syliran Geography, and Lore of Syliran Culture. - Fixed 6.) There aren't really "Saints" in Mizahar. I would suggest changing the name of your lute to something more Lore appropriate. - Fixed That's everything that I noticed.
