Character Concept
Ruurik is a strange fellow by most standards, the most notable of which is that he rarely takes his human form unless it's neccessary to communicate with someone. When Ruurik does deign to communicate with someone the conversation tends to be very one-sided, as Ruurik usually says very little. This isn't because Ruurik is solemn or pensive, he is just extra-ordinarily akward. This is due to a habit of having the tact and subtelty of an angry bull and an odd habit of squawking when suprised, despite being in his human form. People who do manage to spend a length of time with Ruurik tend to find him quite funny; not due to any amount of talent with humor on Ruurik's part but because of his quirky behavior and his general amusment with trivial things.
Suprisingly Ruurik is very easily distracted by both food and shiny objects, something that often gets him in trouble. Ruurik has a bad habit of taking both food and shiny objects that catch his eye. Ruurik has developed a rather bad reputation around Ahnatep for snatching jewelry off market stalls and flying away, and even snatching food off tables in open-air resturants. Due to this many of the more veteran stall vendors tend to tense up a bit when they see any white vultures. A very rare few vendors even know what Ruurik's human form look lke, sending guards chasing him across the rooftops whenever they see him. Oddly enough Ruurik doesn't steal for monetary gain, not having any real concept of money for he's always stolen or scavenged what he needs, Ruurik steals jewelry simply cause he likes shiny things.
Another of Ruuriks odd, and slightly bad habits, is that he tends to follow people. This isn't for any nefarious purpose just a habit of whenever a person, or small group, catches his attention he tends to follow them. Sometimes Ruurik will even follow travelers into the desert, on rare occasion he will actually join the group. Not in any official sense, just one day the travelers may find that the vulture that was following them is now openly sitting in their camp one morning. Ruurik is a fickle creature though often abandoning a group just as quickly as he began following them, sometimes with a valuable peice of jewelry dissapearing with him. Not even Ruurik is really sure why he does this; it could be some leftover instinct of a scavenger following a potential meal or even his kelvic nature urging him to seek a bondmate. Only time will tell.
