Every city in Mizahar needs a central storage location to house food security. Built with high walls and deep cellars, The Cornucopia is Riverfall's solution to food storage. Housing a rather large set of fruit presses and an extensive basement filled with barrel after barrel of preserved fruit, The Cornucopia is vital to the survival of Riverfall and the health of its people. Having extensive orchards and nut groves, Riverfall must have some place to process the fruit and store it long term so that it remains edible throughout the winter. This facility, having huge spaces beneath the ground level, also houses the city's supply of fresh ice taken from the Bluevein during winter. The ice storage serves two fold purposes.. letting food be preserved longer by freezing and keeping the city in ice for the long summer months. While the Cornucopia needs no tending during the winter months other than to allow the Ice Monger to come and go storing his blocks, during the summer months there is a great deal of need for fruit processing workers. The Rivarian Council oversees all the hiring of a manager and employees during the summer harvest.
