The Walk of the Lost (Open)

71 day of Spring Year 510 AV

The fortress city of Syliras spread around the Ethaefal/Akalak. He was wondering around the city looking at what was considered the greatest civilization in the modern world.

His tall form move ealy throught the crowd. He didn't rush he didn't want to. He was a sight seer here. His silver eyes looked left and right, and the only daytime sign of his divine heritage. His clothing while not skin tight was form fiting enough to indicate he was a strong young man in the prime of health.

It was strange as he walked be cause it seemed as if the images of many different cities flashed through his brain. They were diverse and many, some civilized and some primitive. He had seen a thousand stores like those he had passed even now, but he remembered none of them, nor there names, just the images of the signs and windows.

He contiuned to walk wondering what the day would bring him.
Do you think that you could ever, Through all eternity,
Find out the generation Where Gods began to be?
Or see the grand beginning, Where space did not extend?
Or view the last creation, Where Gods and matter end?
Me thinks the Spirit whispers, “No man has found ‘pure space,’
Nor seen the outside curtains, Where nothing has a place.”

The Walk of the Lost (Open)

Postby Aedai on May 29th, 2010, 7:35 pm

Feeling much more familiar about walking around the walls of Stormhold Castle. Aedai took a walk around wondering if he might see something of interest. His mother had more work as it seemed that healing others was a job that was consitant. He sighed feeling a little lonely as he walked around Syrilas. He thought of gathering out in the forest, he didn't mind if he had to do it alone he just hadn't found the time with his exploration of the city.

His thoughts were interrupted by the sight of a strange person with a blue color. His face twisted into a puzzled look as he almost stared at this man. He blinked his eyes to make sure it wasn't his sight, and it wasn't. He shrugged, "There are things of this world that I still have to learn". He kept staring at him as the man slowly began to walk by him. Aedai had learned that living in ignorance as he did was bouth an advantage and a disadvantage. He was not influenced by others besides his parents but he does not know much about the world he lives in, only the bubble his parents had kept him in.

The Walk of the Lost (Open)

Postby Elliot Skythorn on May 29th, 2010, 8:26 pm

Elliot found himself looking around the vast area of the castle, Syliras catle. So many things to do, so many things to see, for someone living in Syralis and the surrounding area for so long, he was never inside the castle properly, wich was strange. Today curiosity drove him into the very heart of the judicators of this city, to their keep. Quickly getting bored of the shick insides of the castle, he quickly got out, while there was still a chance no one has payed attention to him.

Castle walls, now that was something to see, after all besides the knights, they were this city`s prime deffence. He thought about many different things as he traversed the grounds around the castle walls. The walk finally led him to an a mighty looking Akalak man, and so Elliot out of reflex started walking next to him out of pure curiosity, hpoing that the man does not mind it much. While following the Akalak, he passed by a lost looking human, who he only grazed with his mismatched eyes continuing to cruise after his mark.

Yes, Akalak were a funny race, the only ones Elliot considered interessting in this city, well at least enough to take some thought on their appearance or actions.

The Walk of the Lost (Open)

"Yeah, you can."

Just as Aren was rounding the corner, he noticed the magnificent specimen of his own race that stood before him. Finally, someone to take him back to the days when he used to spar with those like him: like-minded individuals who weren't afraid to get a little bloody. It was so hard to find a good sparring partner who was not always complaining about broken bones this, or bleeding stomach that.

"But..." Aren visually inspected the man, something odd having caught his eye, "Where's your weapon? Don't tell me you have it hidden somewhere in there?" A bright, almost childish smile decorated his face. "It doesn't matter, we'll fight barehanded!"

The Walk of the Lost (Open)

Postby Wystern on May 30th, 2010, 4:16 am

Wystern was browsing the streets on his daily patrol of the Syliras. He lived here for about ten years now and it never changes. The city is booming but peaceful, mainly because he and so many other knights are assigned to watch over it. Though he never liked the attention they received. People were happy to have them around, but Wys always favored anonymity, which explain the long cloaks without which he never appeared. No part of him suggested he was anything more than a normal citizen, except, of course for the sword he was carrying and the edge of the kite shield which protruded slightly over his shoulders.

"Good Tyveth, I'm so bored," Wys murmured to himself. All day it was absolutely boring. Go back to market or stay here? That was the question. Wys didn't feel like visiting a tavern yet again, after all, alcohol was a poor escape from dullness, or reality for that matter. That's when he heard something about fighting.

He looked for the source. It came from at a pair Akalaks."That could be bad," Wys whispered as he approached the pair. That race rarely ever caused any troubles, besides, he liked Akalaks. They often knew more about fighting unarmed than he could ever learn.

"Good evening, gentlemen, is there a problem?" Wys said as he approached the pair.

The Walk of the Lost (Open)

Postby Aedai on May 30th, 2010, 6:25 am

He never enjoyed being around an area that had to much attention, it was beginning to look like they were attracting attention. He sighed silently to himself and remembered his mothers words clearly about starting his life in Syrilas. "Aedai, you better start involving yourself with others or else I'll take away your freedom!"

She had made it clear of what was expected, this seemed like a good chance to do just that deciding to introduce himself to feel less awkward. He was surrounded by so many strange characters that hearing names sounded like a good start. His gaze fell on everyone and he noticed the tallest among them was the blue man he caught sight of first. He turned to the young man with the sword and said, "Only problem here is that none of us have introduced ourselves, my name is Aedai nice to meet you strangers". He finished it with a smile, glad that he didn't have to point out what the two blue men were.

One was enough to puzzle him, but two was more then. How come they are popping up like flies now and they didn't before? He pondered to himself but kept his smile on his face.

The Walk of the Lost (Open)

Postby Elliot Skythorn on May 30th, 2010, 9:18 am

Elliot came much closer to the group as he wanted to see how will this play out, but than he recognized Wystern, that same knight from before, and if he was in his regular mood, they will be stopped before doing anything fun. Continuing to thread the ground slowly while inspecting the situation, and hoping something fun can still happen even after all this silence.

Getting closer to the group, he stood a few feet to the side as he was still curious about the possible brawl, and he recognized Wys with nothing more than a quick glance before sitting down. He sigshed quietly as the situation was about to be stopped by the knight, or so he thought.

He layed down leaning onto a nearby stone as he continued to watch all three of them with such curiosity he almost forgot Wys was a knight. And after all if things would ever get that bad, he could always jump in and help stopping them, but nah, not now, it was still too much fun.

"Call me Crow," Wys said with a short bow. As he rose up he looked into Elliot's eyes and put a finger on his lips in a subtle attempt to ask Elliot not telling everyone here that Wys was from the order.

This situation didn't feel hostile. Maybe it was an escape from today's boredom. Fistfights happen, and Wys will not have to intervene so long as no one else is involved and no one comes out too hurt or...dead. Technically he would have to stop it right at the beginning, but he was too bored to care about the rules right now.

The Walk of the Lost (Open)

Postby Rythern on May 31st, 2010, 12:35 am

Rythern had entered the scene without realizing he'd entered a scene. The young entertainer was messing with knives again and looking for Fade, though he hadn't much luck in that department, and it took a moment for him to register the two tall Akalaks that faced one another, surrounded by a handful of others.

The Vantha paused. Two of the onlookers were familiar, actually - neither he'd seen in a little while, but one he recognized as a Syliran Knight, Crow. The one whom Crow had greeted discreetly also looked familiar, though Rythern couldn't place a name.

He looked back at the two Akalaks, cool blue eyes shining with curiosity. Well, this was interesting. He thought he'd stick around.

When one of the strangers introduced himself as Aedai, Rythern nodded at him and the others. "Vakya," he said, giving his stage name, as was typical when the young man introduced himself to a group of strangers. His true name was no real secret; years of assuming a larger-than-life identity in the circus spotlights had merely trained a comfortable habit.

To him, the Akalaks looked ready and eager to fight. Rythern glanced Crow from the corner of his eye and quietly put his knives away.
