The fang leader nodded at Revy's choice, picking up a battered but solid looking great sword for herself form the pile before sliding it over her shoulder, the razor tip hanging down low. The others found moth eaten cloths and long spoiled food, but apart from the weapons, little else of merit.
Kilith didn't speak, just gestured with her fingers for them to circle up and move out the way they came, but as Kazca approached the door an audible click resounded through the small room and suddenly in the doorway in which they had entered through appeared a slab of granite. There was no time to stop it, for the rock gave a single shudder and dropped into what surely had been grooves in either side of the door with a loud crash of rock slamming against rock. Firit cursed, but everyone else was deadly silent.
Of course it had been a trap.
Not skipping a beat Kilith began whispering orders. Kalsa, Kazca, circle the room, find me an exit, Firit, human, light us up with those torches and keep a wary eye. There must be some way for the Dhani to get in, and I do not want to be taken by surprise."
It was true, the room was dark with strange alcoves and alarmingly high ceilings. Perhaps Dhani could drop in from above, or slide in through some dark crevice. The three women started searching in the cracks and crannies, and after only about a chime...a strange thumping began that almost sounded like drums...reverberating through the stone walls that now trapped half of the fang.
