Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

Rivarians are incredibly proud of their gemstone mine which has a number, all in one place, of varieties of gemstones that are hewed from the earth in what Reimancers and historians think was a singular Valterrian event. Flawless examples are made into actual jewelry class stones but larger beautiful pieces are often removed and placed in Lapis Park to visually remind the city of why Riverfall was located where it is and why the Akalak thrive even in the face of extinction, sometimes starvation, and the difficult times the city sometimes experiences. Five small acres of walking trails weave through marshes and ponds that are filled with bright colorful fish. Not nearly as groomed as other parks in Riverfall, Lapis is a piece of feral landscape in the midst of the city. Benches overlook the best art pieces and rough hewed stone. The one consent to civilization is that a Priest of Priskil voluntarily keeps lights lit throughout the park when darkness falls. A small lapis stone honoring Priskil and her fallen lover are illuminated to acknowledge how much light can mean to the world and to the Akalaks as well. Lapis Park is open all day and all night, but its patrolled periodically by the volunteer watch to keep it safe. |
