Jeram Hirem The Exotic Ravokian Basic Information Race: Human, Benshira Age: 22 Birthday: The 13th of Fall, 489 AV Height: 5'10" Weight: 155 lbs Gender: Male Physical Description
If you've seen a Benshira before then you would probably recognize Jeram's heritage. Since most people have never seen someone of his race before, people would mostly just consider Jeram to have an exotic appearance and his unusual accent. The first thing you would probably notice is his slightly tanned skin. It isn't as dark as his brethren who have lived in the desert all of their lives but it is still easily noticed. His height is also pretty average, being five feet and ten inches tall. Jeram does some body building on the side which has made him fairly muscular and strength is a good asset to have. He will usually be seen wearing middle class clothes as he tries to keep his appearence as good as he can afford. Another striking feature of Jeram is his eyes. Like the other Benshira his eyes are frosty blue which is very noticeable from the average pair of blue eyes found in humans. His eyes can also help out when he's trying to seduce a woman that he happens to get a liking to. Upon his head is fine black hair which is kept fairly short with his bangs never going past his eyes. While his hair is short he tries to keep it styled when he can. A light beard can be seen upon Jeram's face, he likes the way it looks and makes sure not to let it grow out every much. His eyebrows are naturally a little bushy which he doesn't mind as he still keeps them trim and doesn't let them get out of control. Character Concept
If there is one trait that Jeram has inherited from his people, it his arrogance. He is pretty set in his ways and doesn't like it when people try to persuade his to be different. Now if there is one thing he doesn't share with others of his race, it is generosity. Sharing and giving is not part of his nature unless it is for a cause that he believes in or could benefit him in the end. Jeram also loves to enjoy himself. Hanging around in taverns or just having a good time is always welcome in his mind. If he can get in bed with a woman he also usually won't deny the oppurtunity. One thing you should never do infront of Jeram is insult Rhysol. If he would catch you badmouthing Rhysol in anyway then you probably will find yourself with nothing less than a punch in the face. Like most citizens of Ravok you can see some racism from Jeram. While he doesn't like non-human races as much, he can still change his mind about individuals if they prove themselves. Jeram overall can be a pretty violent man. He does a small history of bar fights or other bouts of violence but he's still smart enough to not get in over his head. While Jeram is violent he's also an analyzer and can be a leader if need be thanks to his Ebonstryfe training. The Black Sun and the Ebonstryfe are both something that Jeram knows has absolute authority over Ravok and should always be listened to and respected. Character History
While Jeram has lived most of his life in Ravok it wasn't his birthplace. He was actually born in the desert where most of his race, along with a couple other races thrive. The beginning of his childhood was pretty normal for a Benshira. He grew up in tents along with his extended family while moving locations every once in awhile. Though family problems started to arise when Jeram was around five years of age. His father was not a firm believer in the Benshira's faithful god Yahal and it caused much problems with the others they lived with. Because of his father's beliefs, he too grew up not being taught the ways of Yahal, his mother not getting much of a say in the matter. It was a sad day during Jeram's sixth year of life. His father had lost his patience with the rest of the family and left, taking as much valuable items as he could. That was the last day Jeram would see his mom or any of his family besides his father from that day on. It was a long and hard journey for father and son. They had to travel with a large caravan which took many months as their destination was very far away. When they weren't getting attacked by some vicious beast then they were getting attacked by raiders or bandits, with the occasional day of peace and quiet. This had toughened up Jeram from an early age. After living every day in fear, not much surprises you afterwards. After their long and dangerous travel was over, they had finally arrived at the beautifull city of Ravok. Soon it was learned by Jeram and his father that life in Ravok could be pretty dangerous. If you didn't respect Rhysol or the enforcement following him then you were pretty much dead. It wasn't very hard to Jeram to learn to accept and love Rhysol as he was only six and a half years of age at the time. Life went pretty well for the next nine years and they lived a quiet and simple life. Though one day after Jeram's dad had accidantly been caught slandering the name of Rhysol he misteriously dissappeared the next day, which would be the last time he ever saw his dad. Almost immediately after, a man in black armor had come up to him and offered Jeram training and guidance in the ways of the Ebonstryfe. Unknown to him, it was the Ebonstryfe themselves that had killed and disposed of his father, then recruited Jeram as he could be an asset easily gained. Having no where to go Jeram quickly accepted. At fifteen yeard of age he was still pretty easy to manipulate. Jeram was about to experience the hardest three years of his life. He had to go through serious physical and mental training which would sometimes put him on the brink of death. Along with all of the physical stress, propoganda was continously put in his head on how Rhysol is the supreme god and you should never doubt him and always respect him. Rhysol's word is law and if you ever forgot that then there was serious reprecussions. Jeram saw as some of the other boys and girls were taken away and never seen again, probably killed off in a heartbeat for just as much as thinking of doubting Rhysol. Finally, the three years of training and influence had ended and Jeram had become a full fledged apprentice in the Ebonstryfe. Jeram has currently been an apprentice for the past four years. He hoped to soon become a full soldier in the Ebonstryfe. He had heard that in order to become a soldier that you had to overcome a horrible and gruesome trial in which failure means death. Jeram isn't very worried about it as he has completely trust in Rhysol and as long as you never doubt Rhysol, you can overcome the impossible. Training (Skills, Arcana, Gnosis, Lore) Skills
