She didn't much care about the blood; she'd had blood on her before, plenty of times, though this was perhaps one of the only times she'd ever apologized for it. The stiff tone of his voice made her catch her bottom lip between her teeth, but he finally soothed some of her worries with a quick caress, and she realized that if he wanted to get up he'd find it a bit difficult with a lapful of Kashik.

"Well, I tell you what, I'll hang out and take care of you today then. I'll run and get some food from the market for breakfast, and maybe some wine for dinner, hmm?" she asked, sitting back a little. She had planned on meeting up with her brothers and cousins today, but they could wait. They hadn't really set a firm date to meet in Endrykas, just sometime before their training at the War Pavilion began.

Indelible Ink (Jaeden)

“Nah, nah, you don’t have to.” Jaeden said as he slid his hand under his nose once or twice, looking to see that the bleeding had stopped. “You mentioned you had family you wanted to meet after all. I don’t want you to feel obligated simply because I broke my nose on your elbow.”

“Besides, I’m not sure I can eat right now,” Jaeden said as he began rinsing his hand of blood in the stream’s water, “and I’m pretty sure drinking a lot of wine will only cause me to act in such a lecherous way that would cause me to run my nose into your elbow a second time.”

“If you wanted to visit me though,” Jaeden said as he looked to Kashik, “I certainly wouldn’t mind a lap to lay my head along. I’ll certainly don’t think I’ll want to do any riding today now.”

Jaeden then quickly looked to Fortunado for a second. “Sorry buddy.” Jaeden said as he looked back to Kashik. “Oh hey, would you mind taking him out for a run? I don’t want him to be pegged to one spot all day.”

"Of course," she said, her bright smile returning as she rolled out of his lap and to her feet. "I'll take him out now if you'd like," she said, offering him a hand and pulling him up to his feet as well. She skipped over to grab up his towel, and then back over behind him and began vigorously toweling the last of the water from his back and chest, giggling a little as she did. "And then I'll come back, and you can sleep on any body part you like. I'll even sing you to dreams," she said, pressing an affectionate kiss bare chest.

“Yeah, that sounds nice.” Jaeden said, staggering as he stumbled into Kashik’s body for a moment. “Whoa, head rush.”

Jaeden then dragged his feet over towards his tent, soon getting to his hands and knees. “Oh, first both my ass cheeks, then my nose.” Jaeden said as he began slithering into his tent. Jaeden then motioned to the shirt lying on the ground next to his cloths. “There’s your shirt by the way, I bought it so it would be a little tight across the chest. Hope you don’t mind.”

Jaeden the fell to a lay along the edge of the bed roll, his ankles laying outside of the tent entrance. “Ahh, that’s nice.” Jaeden said as he began cradling the blanket slightly.

She giggled a little as he crawled away, and just rolled her eyes as she got herself dressed and shoved on her boots. Her wet hair was quickly braided and pinned into a knot at the nape of her neck, the usual beads and jewels that'd been braided through the curls now safely tucked away in her pack.

He'd been right about the shirt, and she rolled her eyes again as she put Fortunado's tack on him, shaking her head a little at Jaeden's ridiculousness. She felt a little bad for having broken his nose, but not that bad. After all, he was lucky she hadn't knocked out a few of his teeth.

The great black horse was a joy to ride, bigger than her Strider but not unmanagable. She imagined that she must look a little strange, petite thing that she was, perched on the beast's saddle. But she simply took him out past the edge of the encampment and tested his paces, finding him well trained as she moved from walk to trot to canter and finally up to full-gallop - though she had a hell of a time convincing him to slow down again once he got going. As such, she was gone much longer than she'd planned, almost two bells before she finally trotted him back over to Jaeden's campsite and lept from the saddle.

She fussed over him for a few more chimes, setting his tack aside and brushing him down before tethering him as Jaeden had earlier. Then a quick rinse at the stream to get the worst of the horse-smell off, and she kicked her boots off next to her pack and crawled inside the tent.

"How're you feeling?" she chuckled, slithering along the length of his body until she could get to his head, which she pillowed on her stomach as she stretched out above him.

Jaeden laid along his back in the tent, his eyes closed as his fingers slowly rested along the bridge of his nose now. It had swelled considerably in the time Kashik had been away, now appearing wider and taking on a bluish tint along the surface of the skin. His body was already covered in sweat again, despite still wearing no clothing, as the day reached its high temperatures with the sun shining completely overhead.

A subtle groan escaped his lips in response to Kashik as he simply remained as still as possible, now trying to think less of the dull throbbing pain of his nose, and the immense head ache that had formed because of it. A damp, bloodied rag had rested nearby the bedroll to his right, suggesting that the bleeding had started up more than a few times

Jaeden’s eyes fluttered opened as Kashik asked how he was. His head tilted upward for a moment, looking at her before thumping down along the pillow once again. “The shirt looks good on you,” Jaeden said weakly, remaining still again. “How was the ride?”

"It was good. He's got some really good paces, though he's so big I had a bit of a fight getting him turned around sometimes," she whispered softly, trailing gentle fingers across his brow, careful not to cause him anymore pain, and back into his hair. "You look like shit, honey. You sure you don't want to go into town and see a healer?"

Jaeden shook his head slightly. “Honey, you hurt my feelings.” Jaeden said in a sarcastic, but playful tone when she mentioned how he looked. “No, no. That’s okay. It’s better I have a reminder that it’s not a good idea to playfully sneak up on others.”

Jaeden grabbed the rag for a moment, dabbing the underside of his nose a few times before once again setting it down. “It’s should be just down to a dull ache by tomorrow.” Jaeden then commented, sliding his head into Kashik’s lap. “Today, however, I no longer feel like walking anywhere. Even if it’s a short distance to head into Endrykas.”

She shifted a little to make him more comfortable, and began trailing calloused fingertips down his throat, tracing the lines of the hard muscles of his chest, lingering over them and taking a moment to appreciate the incredible shape he was in.

"Does it hurt to talk?" she murmured, wiping away a little spot of blood that lingered on his cheek. "I find myself terribly curious as to where you come from. I've never heard anything of Syliras. I don't think any of my Pavilion has ever even left the Sea of Grass before I went to Riverfall," she chuckled.

Jaeden’s fingers lightly touched Kashik’s hands, following their movements as he shook his head. “No, doesn’t hurt to talk really. Just a throbbing dull ache now and a small headache. Oh, and my nose feels incredibly clogged.” Jaeden said as he gave another light touch along his nose. “It should be good enough that I’ll be able to ride again tomorrow.”

Jaeden then slowly looked up at Kashik as she inquired about Syliras. “Syliras? For the most part it’s a giant castle, as large as village or settlement. It’s always a very, very busy place. I confess that I’m not too keen on walking it’s streets, especially due to my mark. The sight to really take in is the vast forests that surround it.” Jaeden explained as his gaze then settled on Kashik’s chest, noting the tightness of the shirt he had bought for her. “Wow, that shirt really does look good on you. Anyways, miles of forest terrain can be found, offering a peace and serenity that can only be found in a select few places of Syliras itself. For someone who likes to hunt and be out in the wild, it’s almost like paradise itself. There are also plenty of threats and challenges that the forest presents for those who are more inclined to enjoy adventure.”
