Aksia reflected on herself as she listened to the advice that Father Glav gave her and Sasin, the truth was, she didn't know any answers, but if they were indeed inside of her, then she'd have to reflect further to reveal them because at this time, they were still invisible. She voiced out her thoughts so Father Glav could hear them, and she could hear herself. "My race isn't hated, just misunderstood, we are pacifists because we don't enjoy war-mongering, but we are also curious, an unstable combination... she said quietly.

"The Dhani are vicious, they enjoy death and fighting, they enjoy it too much, that makes them unpredictable, unpredictable and dangerous, another unstable combination, there's a reason why people don't treat us the same, people generally think of us Charodae as weak because we don't fight for ourselves, people fear the Dhani because they are much stronger and much more cunning than normal people, and also much more willing to kill and extinguish the light of life." she trailed off. "The reason why I stay in this place, this city, where my race is looked down upon, is because, I just want to build a more likable relationship with all the other races of Mizahar, but the true answer won't be found by me, at least, not yet, but that is all I would like to do for now." she finished. "I guess, all I will be able to do now, is do what I can for everybody, help everybody, fight for my race, my race are looked down upon too much, but I do know that there was a time when the Charoda could fight fearsomely and that is a time I think Charodae must go back to. There will be a time when I go back to Charbosi, but that time is not now, for now, I would like to build my own personality and give it more stable foundations, thank you.". With that, Aksia walked off with her eyes closed, she had found answers, to her life, to this part of her life at least, she would try to forge good relationships with everybody, fight for dignity and justice for her race, then return back to her home. "Well, at least that's what I'm aiming for.." she said.

Aksia

"First off, Charoda are not looked down upon here in Syliras. Syliras was named for the God of Peace. Peace is always honored here in Syliras, as too are the Charoda whom are in many ways peace manifested. The Syliran Knights have worked long and hard to make sure Syliras can remain peaceful. We haven't always agreed with them or their means, but they have gotten the job done."
Glav said sensibly. "And the Dhani, while their ways are violent and different than humans, have a right to exist as long as they follow human rules within human society. If they do not, they are no longer welcome. It's a really simple reasoning, isn't it? If a human entered Dhani society, they would be treated in a similar manner, I suspect. As would a human in Charoda society be expected to be peaceful." He said thoughtfully.

"It's wrong to advocate ferocity in a people that are born of peace. Why would you advocate violence when its not in your nature?"
The priest asked thoughtfully.

[Syliras Location] The Temple of All Gods

Sasin remained silent. Neither this human, nor the charoda could answer his question. He felt a stirring of resentment towards the human for daring to presume that he understood. He didn't know. He didn't understand what it meant to have people hate you for being what he was.

He laughed inwardly as the human spoke again, and spoke up for the first time. "If a human entered Dhani society, they would be torn to pieces. And as to why my people don't get along, that too is simple. They are as alien to us as we are to humans."

Sasin

"Which is why, Dhani, those that know you for what you are... will give you just as much chance as you give them. But you are not in Zinrah, serpent. Instead you are in Syliras. Here, there is no violence tolerated. If you step outside those bounds - the laws of Syliras - you will be executed. It is as simple as that. Some races were not meant to blend together. Some were. I believe that because you were given the shape of a man, it allows you to walk among them undetected to hunt them. But not from all - only from your prey. I am not your prey. And you are arrogant if you think there are others among the humans that won't know you for what you are. You, young Dhani, cannot change your inner core. You are what you are. You are a Dhani. They accept the kelvics because the kelvics once bonded become what their bondmates need. They reflect what their purpose is. The Dhani are far different. Even now, even in Syliras, you've plotted to break their rules and despise them and yet play the innocent. It fools almost no one."
He said gently, speaking the truth but not trying to judge.

"I think, young man, your problem is deciding what exactly you want to be. Either you want to live among them unmolested and following their rules... or you want to do your own thing and be left alone to do so without bitter judgment. You must decide for yourself... but understand this. One way lies peace. The other way is impossible. You will be caught and found lacking."

He was firm and confident in his statement... as if he himself was going to be the one to inform Loren Dyres what he had in his city.

[Syliras Location] The Temple of All Gods

Postby Taithrosa Eldytia on April 20th, 2010, 8:56 am

Day 72 of Year 510 AV

Taithrosa walked into the room and looked around the chapel. It was still early in the morning before the setting of the moon and before rising of Syna. He walked into the quiet church glade to have found a place were he could pray to his master. It had been a troubling time for the young Ethaefal. He did worship the god of change, but his life had gone beyond change and had fallen in to complete chaos.

His body was the same regardless of his shape. Tall and strong. It was his skin and hair that changed with the rising of Leth. Currently his skin was a pale brilliance that seemed to glow giving of a light similar to the moon itself. His hair was silverish blue, but that was not the oddest thing about his appearances. It was the crystal horns that grew from his temple and flowed back. His silver eyes appeared to be molten liquid as he knelt at a pew and began to pray silently, his lips moving.

As much as he wished he could still speak his native tongue it was now impossible. He mouthed the ancient words praying in his mind.

"Oh my Lord and Master Leth. I come to you this evening to pray and pleed for you help. I wish to serve thee, but my life is chaos now and I know not what to do. " He paused and started again this time trying not to sound so whiny.

"Oh my Master please guide me. Help me to control the memories that flood my mind so that I may learn and remember what is important. Above all please help me to know for what purpose I was sent to Mizahar again." He bowed his head, and allowed the tears that hadn't spilled in so long to come forth. He felt his face grow wet, as the tears streamed down his face.

After a while he looked up trying to clear his thoughts, and allow for any answers if they were to come.
Do you think that you could ever, Through all eternity,
Find out the generation Where Gods began to be?
Or see the grand beginning, Where space did not extend?
Or view the last creation, Where Gods and matter end?
Me thinks the Spirit whispers, “No man has found ‘pure space,’
Nor seen the outside curtains, Where nothing has a place.”

Taithrosa

A hand settled gently on Taith's shoulder from behind. It gripped him in a reassuring touch and infused peace throughout his being. Suddenly, things didn't look so hopeless. A weight lifted off his soul - an invisible one - and there was a moments respite from all the worries that had been troubling him. A figure moved, following down the line of pews to cross over and move into his row. Glav was a solitary figure, unassuming, and dressed more like a servant than a priest might be found in another city. His plain homespun tunic and trousers made Taith feel slightly dressy beside the older man as he took a seat beside Taith.

"Life is a beautiful thing, lad. There is no need to ever shed tears over being tossed into it, even fully formed. I think there is less trauma for a soul birthed into the world from the comfort of a mother's womb than an Ethaefel brought back into the world fully formed knowing there is so much more than what everyone around them simply live. But as treasured as the past might be, don't you think the future is more important? There's a reason you are so empty, Taith. The world is meant to fill up those that inhabit it. You must embrace it and absorb what it has to offer so you can indeed find...."

He paused then, tilted his head, and smiled slightly.

"You know, that is the problem with most people. They are seekers. They spend the whole of their lives 'looking' for something. Many of those people miss out on a key aspect of life, Taith. Life is for creating. You don't need to wander to 'find' a place for yourself. You need to instead decide what it is you want to do then get down to the business of creating. It is the secret of happiness, you know?" The priest said, then smiled at the tear-eyed Ethafael, waiting for his response.

Taithrosa was actually surprised by the hand that toughed his shoulder and looked up at the plainly dressed man. His molten silver eyes looking over the man wondering were he had come from. He was also curious where this peace had come from. There was something about this man to create the calm around him.

He listened interested in what the man had to say. His eyes had stopped crying and he sat back with his back straight and looked at the man his head tilted to one side his skin still giving off that gentle glow that marked his otherworldly origins.

He was quiet for a moment before his deep soothing voice spoke up. "I believe you are right. We must always move forward. It can be hard though to not wallow." His eyes seemed lost in thought for a moment. "I agree though it will not be hard to look back at were I was onces. I was happy there, and it isn't easy to give that peace and tranquility up. You are right though that life is beautiful and I have been given a chance to paint another portrait of it as it were." He smiled at the mans analogy of creation.

"I am surprised though that you know what I am few people even when I am my real form. How is it you know of the fallen sons and daughters of Leth and Syna? What else do you know about us." His eyes were curious. He barely knew anything about the fallen or the Ethaefal as they were called. He wanted to learn more and see what he could understand. "I have only found one other of my kind and he didn't know much more then me."

Taith

Glav Navik looked thoughtful. "I think there is not much known about your kind in general. Syna and Leth have been rather closed lipped about it. Which begs a mystery all in itself, since Syna is generally one to talk if asked. What I know, I understand from looking at you and the date your kind started washing up on our shores. The real you, for it is not the deep blue skin or the high shine to your eyes, or even the high glow you get when the moon shines and your horns grow. It's your sense of profound loss that you wear like a cloak about you. Only one race feels like this... knows this... senses this... I just wonder why it is not so clear to others as well." He said quietly.

"Your world was torn asunder the same day ours was. The God of Peace was slain by the instruments of chaos brought about by fire. It is a hard day to forget, especially since Sylir was close to my heart."
He said softly, but smiled all the same anyhow. "I understand that pain. It's a familiar old friend at times. And so it brings us together in a sense of familiarity that might not otherwise be true." He said gently, the moved, walking between pew rows and then taking a seat beside Taithrosa.

"If you have questions, I can help, at least a little. But I cannot send you home nor tell you why you have been separated. Only the lovers in the skys above can answer such queries." He added.

Taithrosa caught the tenses of the mans statement. His molten silver eyes looked at the man respect writen in his eyes. He was a man who understood the great sadness that was at the very core of Taithrosa. He looked at the man his silver eyes wide with surprise. "You remember that day." Taithrosa had vague memeories of that day so long ago, but his memeories were from the effects on the realm of Leth.

He was intriguid by the the fact that Leth and Syna were so quiet on the subject, Leth wasn't tacative that was true but Syna was a very out there kind of person, as seen by the fact she was the goddess of the sun.

He was quiet for a moment longer looked around the sacred space. "So I am guessing you have overcome and dealt with your sadness by acting, by trying to help the world?" He said looked at him. There was a depth to this man that was greater then any other mortal he had meet with. His eyes were curious. "Are you like me? Maybe not a son of Leth or Syna, but you speak with an emmotion that is deeper then any mortal I have seen and meet. And you said were here that day so long ago?"

[Syliras Location] The Temple of All Gods

Postby Jonathon DuFraine on January 29th, 2011, 11:24 am

Season of Winter, 22nd Day, 510 AV

Jonathon walked cautiously into the temple, feeling as tense as when he was hunting. He looked around uneasily at the inside of the temple; but upon stepping into the building proper he felt a sudden peace build within him. He smiled, his muscles relaxing completely. He had left his bow behind in his apartment, but his short blade still rested on his hip. The place seemed almost too peaceful even for such a small weapon, but Jonathon didn't feel right anymore without a decent weapon at his side.

Jonathon sat in one of the benches leading up to the main part of the temple; just one among the murmuring groups of people. Jonathon put his hands together and felt within his heart for light, grasping what he could and winding it into words.

"Caiyha, the fact that I am here to pray to you is all that I need for me to give you my thanks." The words murmured from his lips, quite, just another voice in the crowd. "I thank you, I thank you that I have not yet died in my profession. I thank you for protecting me, and I hope the tests you have set before me were done to your satisfaction."

Jonathon believed that the more harrowing or unexplainable experiences from the last few days were tests from Caiyha, or something of the sort. "Caiyha, I want to ask you more. I ask that you continue to protect me, to show me luck and mercy. And, I ask... that you help me find the corpse that is my mother that lies somewhere, forsaken, in your realm. In return, I can only give prayers and hope my actions please you..."

Jonathon rose from prayer, feeling solemn. He didn't feel like leaving yet, though. Maybe he could talk with a priest... learn more about the goddess he asked favors of.
