Lorelai continued to watch Banir with interest. She rearely watched any of the men that came to The White Isles. She usually avoided them becasue she was too shy to converese with them. Lorelai studied him more but tried not to make it so obvious of her interest in how men worked. At first she thought to try and speak to him again but she quickly disregarded the idea. It seemed to pain him to speak which worried her. Maybe she could do some research and find a flora that she could mix and create something for him.

We he did speak up Lorelai smiled faintly and nodded. "Yes. Konti rarely leave The White Isles. We normally only leave to find a...a...m-mate..." Lorelai went silent as she blushed brightly, "However, we also leave if we want to find our own calling outside of The White Isles. My calling is to help others using my knowledge in medicine. I also hope I can make a better use of my Goddess' gift. I'm interested in all kinds of fauna located here at The Spires..."

She fell silent again. She could tell Banir was not a man of many words, but he wasn't unapproachable either. He was just...a little rough around the edges. Lorelai moved closer to him to study how he worked on the tent. She squatted down to the ground to get closer to his level. She tilted her head and continued to watch. "You're really good at this..."

As Lorelai spoke his attention turned to her while he worked in the lat peg. Watching her while pounding the peg, she blushed as she spoke of finding a mate. She was stuttering quite a bit, however she stopped when she got off the embarrassing subject. Never had he heard of the Konti's culture, it was strange, though not unusual. From what he knew of Lorelai, she seemed to be the kind of person to think of others before herself. That was something he did not doubt about her, from how she was acting, she was certainly a healer. However he was lost upon the word 'fauna', he just assumed it was a foreign word.

When she spoke right beside him something in his mind twinged. Heart pounding in his chest, the world slowing to a crawl. It was not rage within him but something of almost . His head snapped to the left, facing her, eyes still a blood red. Within that exact moment of his head turning suddenly, his right bladed fist jolted for a moment. Poised ready to strike, his reflex was triggered and thankfully was halted in its process.

He took deep breaths, relieve coming over him that his reflex had not gone so far as to harm her. Something he greatly would have regretted, she may be a new friend in the making. And something he would not be able to forgive himself for. With another deep breath he spoke, "I'm not good, I'm just doing, what makes sense. It must be, nice to be, able to help people, actually helping. All I am, good for is, fighting." Coughing lightly a hand slid under his scarf again. Massaging his throat as the pain stabbed at him, more breaths, deep breaths and it would pass. Hopefully this promise to himself wouldn't ring hollow.
"Where life leads me, is where I shall go. The greater question is, who is willing to accompany me on such a long travel?"

Lorelai fell back at Banir's sudden movement. Her eyes focused tightly on his bladed fist. Her heart was beating so loud as her pale face turned a shade even paler. She swallowed a hard lump that formed in her throat before calming down her racing heart. A reflex she observed. He did tell her that he was here to act as a mercenary. She felt his relief as she herself started to calm down even more. She stood up and brushed herself off before clearing her throat and smiling gently at him.

Slowly she eased herself back down but made sure to give him more space than before. "S-sorry that was my fault..." When Banir answered her earlier statement worry crossed her eyes. Speaking was painful for him but why? When he finished Lorelai furrowed her brow at him. "You sound as if what I do is greater than what you are here to do. Fighting is something everyone needs. There are those of us who can't fight or are unwilling to fight because of fear. When there are times like those that's when you become very important to people."

"Fighting is a form of protection and not many can do it. The fact that you can is a blessing! You should sound more proud of yourself!" Lorelai quickly bit her bottom lip. She ahd never spoke so much to a stranger at once, and she also had no reason to really say all that she did. But she couldn't help it. A fighter was greatly needed and wanted. He shouldn't sound so negative about his profession. Shw watched him rub his throat again. She had that worried expression on her face again. She really wanted to ask but still kept her mouth shut.

After she squatted back down near him once more, though a clear space between them. As she apologized he looked at her confused, in his eyes nothing had been done wrong. She had done no ill will to him, in fact it was he who had almost attacked her. If blame where to be laid it was to be laid upon him. Then she began to preach about fighting, to hear the words coming from her mouth. They did not inspire him, they instead frusterated him, he could feel memories of fighting. Unlike how she described it, it was far from a blessing, it was nothing to be prided over. His ability to fight had only caused pain, and almost killed a friend because of his rage and skill.

His left hand balled into a fist, attempting to keep his frustration from burning into a rage. Breaths came short and quick to him, he was getting worked up again. His mind quickly raced through to find more peaceful memories, succeeding to a mild degree he calmed himself. His throat was still strongly sore, and as much as he wished to dispute against her he needed to wait until the words came to him. The frustration returned to him but thankfully on a much smaller scale. She hadn't seen a fight before is what his guess was, she hadn't been in the fray. Swinging to defend herself while striking at an enemy, caught in moments of life or death. He had taken life before, nothing sentient or dangerous. But it still left a hollow ring throughout his core.

The idea of taking another life wasn't frightening, it just made him uneasy at how quickly and simple it was for him to do so. Slicing a throat, stabbing someone in the chest, beating them to death with bare hands. All of these images where possible ways to kill in his mind. And many more lurked in his head, many he wanted to move on and leave out of his mind. Looking to her his eyes still blood red, but they where not hostile. They merely reflected his thoughts of feeling a little alone. She had no idea what a fight was like.

Lorelai remained silent when Banir didn't reply back. She listened into his emotions and only found rage. Lorelai closed her eyes tightly and held back a whimper. She had angered him and she knew he was upset deeply. Lorelai rubbed her temples and slowly started to remove herself from such deep emotions.

It took her a long time to calm her own soul after going out of her way to deeper intune with his emotions. The hatred lingered in her. His hatred felt like it was her own. She gritted her teeth and held her head in her hands. "I once again must apologize..." Tears welled in her eyes as her eyes began to burn from a oncoming migraine. "I-I sometimes speak too much. I didn't mean to trouble you, Banir."

"I have only been in spars. I never have killed anyone. It must be horrible. I detest killing but...I know it must be done to protect oneself and others."

Silently Banir turned to her then reached over with his gloved hand. Placing it on her shoulder he kept it there. Though his rage was still boiling within him, it was slowly welling down, but always there. He seemed to be attempting to comfort her in some way. His hand was barely on her shoulder and it would be much so rather pointless, but it was the best he could do. The spark of pity within him just enough to hold with compassion.

Slowly he stood up and sighed, collecting his thoughts and he rolled his shoulders. The metal on his person clattering lightly, as his words came to him. "Its not, your fault, things just happen. And you, shouldn't speak of, killing until you, have done it." His clawed hand opened and closed slowly, the blades glinting in the light. Muscle memory of the times he had used those same bladed tips.

With a few long deep breaths he prepared for his next sentence, the pain slowly throbbing in his throat like a heartbeat. Now his words where ready, as was his throat, "I think its, time to go, get something, to eat." Turning his torso left and right as his back cracked he let out small grunts.

Lorelai shivered when Banir lightly placed his hand on her shoulder. She felt the intentions of comfort and she inhaled and exhaled a few deep breaths. It made her feel a little better, but the migraine was going to torture her for a few hours. She watched Banir stand up and roll his shoulders.

Lorelai felt slightly scolded when he told her not to speak of killing unless she had done it before. She nodded and slowly stood up herself. Banir expressed that he was hungry and her stomach gave a short gurgle itself. Lorelai blushed and rubbed her stomach before looking up at Banir. "M-may I join you...? I-I have a migraine but I have the medicine to treat it. I won't take long...so will it be ok?"

Lorelai loooked bravely into Banir's eyes with a slight plead. She wanted to get to know him more as well as make her first friend.

With a light sigh he slowly nodded, he could feel his hunger gnawing at his stomach. Folding his large arms and taking another small breath, minding his armoured claw arm. Patiently he would wait for her to prepare herself. Wondering silently to himself as to why she wished to eat with him. Surely there here more friendly people. He wasn't exactly the most wonderful person to talk to or be around. So why him?

Turning to face the camp his boots clinking slightly in the dirt. He surveyed the surrounding jungle. Breathing in the air slowly, enjoying its smell, the change from the winter north to the jungle was different, and enjoyable. New scenery was always nice, a lot better than ice and snow.

Lorelai smiled happily and quickly got the medicine she needed to take for her migraine. She had some already prepared and swallowed it down quickly before hurrying over to Banir. "I-I'm ready! W-we can go now!" She felt like a little kid as she looked up at Banir.

He was so tall compared to her short size. She felt as if she was indeed a kid in comparison to him. Lorelai smiled again as excitement filled her. She tucked some hair behind her ear and waited for Banir to make the first move.
