Summer 20, 512...
On the Beach...
The Beach was something of his own personal get away. Anytime he wanted privacy or to escape from the world, he would come to beach and spend his time daydreaming or fishing. In this case, the fishing was slow. He had posted up his pole pinned in the sand and held in place by a number of rocks. The coast here was calm thanks to the crescent shape and like a fresh water bank, it sort of dropped off directly into the water as opposed to a gradual shallow decline. Thus while fish didn't normally swim too far into the coast, far enough to be caught from land at least, it made this little spot an ideal fishing area. It was only by coincidence that Seluj came here, as he wasn't himself conscious of the geographical advantage of the area he was at.
Fishing was less of a conscious effort with strategy and precise equipment, rather he just took what he could get, baited it, tossed it in the water and waited. If fate would have it he make a catch, he would make his best effort to pull it in. On a good day it would yield something about a fish an hour, and usually he could go into town and cut a deal with someone that could cook it to prepare the fish for him, or spend all the time in the world trying to brew up a fire and enjoy burnt fish meat. Either way, he was proud that he could almost feed himself regularly the past few days... but fishing gave him plenty of time to do other things, and one that was on his mind was the event that occurred a couple days before. He had used flux only a few times and his basic knowledge had a single purpose: to pull off otherwise difficult dance moves. Seduced or perhaps distracted by the idea of using flux for the ideal of becoming a warrior possible. This ended horrible into what was basically a flood of Lactic Acid.
Attempting to use flux to degrees in which his body wasn't prepared for or that he was prepared to control resulted in his first encounter with what people would call 'overgiving'. Learning this lesson the hard way, he would curiously begin to experiment by slowly and cautiously testing his own limits. Granted, this was all just something to do while he waited for something to catch the line. Knocking out two birds with one stone right?
