The experience of Ustengrav's travels and battles resides in his very features, features that have been moulded through his usual actions of battle, drinking and having intimate relations with the opposite sex. His hard chiselled facial features are defined by his long dirty blonde hair and well-shaped braided beard. Many see him as unkempt and untidy, others see him as wild and adventurous, what ever people think of him though, does not stop him in trying to gain the attention of the female occupants of the area by showing off his well muscled body. Ustengrav's equipment usually comprises of his possessions of battle. His main piece of attire is a chain mail shirt, this vital piece of armour protects from the slashes and lunges from an opponents blade but is no use against the penetrating power of a spear or the impact power of a mace. Under his mail lies a thick long sleeved cotton shirt that prevents chaffing and relieves the weight of the mail. Along with his mail shirt, Ustengrav wears thick cotton trousers, these are held up by a leather belt that wraps around his waist. On his feet, he wears large thick leather boots, these are deeply scathed and marked but are largely still intact. On his head Ustengrav wears a leather head band, this is to stop his hair interfering with his vision in the case of combat. Ustengrav's Weapon of choice is his fathers battle axe called Orotheim, this two handed axe is expertly crafted and has a strange design on the flat of the blade. Ustengrav also wears a ear ring that contains a light blue stone, on his back, he wears a large, wolf skin cloak, this adds to his already impressive size. People known Ustengrav for either too things, either his gluttonous attraction to any alcoholic drink in Mizahar or his insatiable lust for sex from the women of Mizahar. These traits in personality, although seen as flaws, dont actually make Ustengrav a bad person. Although his lusts can lead him into conflict with others, his attitude while drunk or on the prowl for female fornication is of someone who is kind natured and just looking to have a bit of fun. Though he lusts for women, he never actually does anything against the will of the recipient of his love and attention, he uses his charm and convincing skills to get what he wants from them, nothing more. Ustengrav despises mistreatment of women and will frequently start a brawl with others if he suspects a women is receiving physical or mental abuse. He has received many a bruise for defending and standing up for the opposite gender. Ustengrav also has a weakness for the drink, mostly trying to forget the days of youth when he roamed the land as a mercenary, splitting open heads and cleaving apart bodies, a messy business that eventually takes its toll on all who revel in it for long enough. Unlike most who drink alcohol, Ustengrav does not become aggressive and violent, instead the liquid makes him happy, jolly and above all friendly, while this is indeed a good outcome, his friendliness and eagerness to to have fun can annoy and irritate many others. Ustengrav has woke up countless mornings with bruises and cuts from the brawling and fighting that had taken place the night before. Although he has a weakness for the drink and for women, Ustengrav is still a skilled fighter and has fought all over Mizahar from small brawls in city taverns to fending off bandit raids on trade caravans, Ustengrav has used his skill with his axe and fist as a means to survive such a violent time. Born on the road to a mercenary and his wife, Ustengrav was taught the ways of combat by his father. Having joint his father on his travels from a young age, Ustengrav had came to understood the violent word that he had been born into. The caravan that he travelled with along with his mother and father was well defended but it did not stop the many desperate brigands and bandits looking for treasure, so in consequence Ustengrav witnessed bloodshed at a young age. Before long, after his mother had passed away from a severe fever, Ustengrav was under the direct influence from his father. Day after day, his father trained him in the techniques that had been passed down through his forefathers. Eventually Ustengrav himself was employed by the merchants like his father to protect the caravans wondering the lands. Years past as Ustengrav and his elder father continued to work along aside each other, fighting off bandits, thugs and the occasional pack of wolves. The comfortable and familiar lifestyle was brought to an end on a cold winters night. He was escorting a caravan full of trade goods such as fine quality furs and pelts to rare exotic foods and spices. It was being transported from Syliras to Riverfall, a journey route Ustengrav had only travelled twice. It was in the late afternoon and a few miles from there destination when the disaster struck. A well placed ambush planned by a large group of bandits descended on the guardsmen and merchants, hoping to find many valuables that they could loot off and hoard away. Fighting together side by side with his father, Ustengrav managed to cleave off a barbarians head and shatter another's ribs before he was struck hard on the head by a blunt weapon, blur eyed, Ustengrav fell unconscious. Waking up, hours later, he was greeted by the sight of countless bodies both friend and enemy and the burning of wood. The caravan had been looted and burnt and the stench of death that came off the bodies lingered in the air. Luckily Ustengrav had survived and it became his goal of finding his father. Not far from the burning wreck of the wagons, lying still but alive, laid his father. Stricken with grief, Ustengrav sat by his father until the time came of his death, there he inherited his fathers favourite axe Orotheim, an expertly crafted axe with an effective design. With the last kind words that came out of his fathers mouth, Ustengrav fled the scene to the nearest bastion of civilisation. After the death of his father, Ustengrav continued to work as a mercenary, doing whatever jobs needed done. Over the next years, Ustengrav developed a strong liking for alcohol and spent most of his nights drinking, brawling and having fun with whatever good looking women he could find. Ustengrav now continues his life, drinking, brawling and screwing. Mail Shirt This dense but light chain mail shirt provides good protection against slashes but fails to provide protection against weapons of a piercing nature. Under Shirt This clothing is under Ustengrav's armour, this provides comfort and stops the mail chaffing.. Thick Cotton Trousers These trousers provide comfort and mobility to its wearer but they are not protective. Leather Headband This headband stops Ustengrav's hair interfering with his vision. Blue Stone Ear-ring This Ear-ring is of a bright blue colour and gives Ustengrav's appearance some character. Thick Leather Boots These Boots are scathed, marked and used but they still wearable and provide good protection against the cold. Thick wolf Fur Cloak This cloak is made of Wolf fur and is quite thick, it provides excellent protection from the elements of nature. Ceremonial Dagger A well made dagger of beautiful design, it is not meant for combat but for show. Waterskin Holds water. Flint and Steel Necessary for making a fire.
