Appearance:
Has (said like “Haus”), as he is called by most, usually wears the armor he inherited from his father on his 18th birthday. It fits him perfectly, and most of the elders say that he is a spitting image of his dad. His arms and legs usually feature a tight wrapping that almost blends with his skin. While most just think this is an odd fashion statement or simply another layer, the true purpose is as an early warning system against overgiving. If his muscles were to become over charged with energy, he would feel the tightening and know that he should back off (since he knows he probably won’t feel pain, but euphoria). They also hide small scars on his forearms, biceps, and legs from minor injuries he’s sustained from the Flux in the past. Has frame is powerful and well developed by his physical training, something his father pushed for hard his entire life. He has copper-colored dark skin and a clear complexion. His head and face is shaved, although he will occasionally let it all grow until it’s about an eighth of an inch long before shaving it all again. Were he to allow it to grow, his hair would be black. He also tends to remove most of his body hair in order to keep clean (sand tangled in hair is uncomfortable). His stunning light blue eyes contrast his hair, skin, and clothes. Over his armor he wears varying traditional robes, favoring light colored blues, yellows, and greens.
Ethics/Personality:
He exhibits a higher sense of personal discipline then most others in his age bracket, and has for some time. His parents had always taught him the importance of self control and humility; a young boy so exceptionally skilled in hand-to-hand combat and Flux could easily severely injure or even kill his playmates if he wasn’t careful. The responsibility that comes with physical strength has always been known to him. Spent most of his life under his father’s physical combat training and mother’s Flux training. She practices it in secret, as does he, as a form of worship. They don’t want the stigma attached to magi, although he has had some close calls, exhibiting moments of great physical strength.
He’s a pleasant person to be around and has very few enemies. He has a few good friends, but is somewhat of an introvert. He’s not socially awkward, just slightly withdrawn and quiet when he doesn’t have much to say. He spends at least an hour a day practicing his arts, performing a sort of meditative T'ai Chi in which he shifts the energy in his body around in a slow and controlled manner. Patience and control are what he’s really about. In a fight he’ll often hang back and wait for his opponent to make a mistake. Things almost never escalate to that level with him, however. He’s far from a pacifist, but he is a peaceful person who will try to solve problems with words before having to use his fists. He’s recently taken up archery, realizing his inability to be of use in a long range situation.
History:
Phinehas is the only child of Jeremiah, a prominent trader between the main cities of the desert and many of the tent cities. His father was attacked by a wolf shortly after his birth, the resulting injuries resulting in the loss of his ability to procreate. Has was beloved by both his parents, and they poured all their knowledge into him. His was strictly disciplined and brought up on a firm regimen of physical training, molding both his physical body and soul.
He had a relatively uneventful childhood, constantly moving and changing scenery. The desert itself became his home. He’s never been in battle or had to really fight for his life. He’s never come across dire circumstances or truly needed to use his physical prowess. He’s traveled with his family, enjoying being the son of a successful man. He’s well educated and devout in his faith. Eventually he became dissatisfied living under his parent's roof, and sought his father's blessing in leaving and starting out on his own. He gave him his armor and some training in a bow, and gifted him a horse, a tent, and some other basics.
Phinehas now lives on his own, acting as a guide for outsiders. He’s eager to make a name on his own.
