*gasp I'm actually using my scrapbook template again!* I really love Wart's model. Of course I really loved her first ones, back when she was a way-too-bright-rainbow-head... Then when I had to tone her down the images I'd used became too dissimilar and inconsistent. I owe it to Nixie for first showing me the image in chat I'd end up completely falling in love with. The attitude, appearance, and general style was exactly what I had in mind when creating Wart. So I promptly gathered together these new images and edited the necessary eccentricities. Unfortunately I learned something pretty quickly. The model, Ruby Rose, had gone through quite a few different changes, mostly regarding her hair. And this particular color and style apparently hadn't lasted long enough to show up in many of her photos, like her black-hair style did. So the one single source where I got the first images seemed to be the only source where I could get images for Wart. This has been just fine with me. There's quite a few there expressing quite a few different emotions. But unfortunately, every single one is in black in white. This has been bugging me a lot lately. I do love the whole color splash effect with adding Wart's color to an otherwise colorless picture and it really emphasizes it but... I wanted a colored version. Fully colored. I wanted her to really look like a person, as weird as that sounds. I'm so ridiculously visually oriented, and she just needed to be more real for me. Well. It took me forever. But I found what I was looking for. I realize the first and last image are the same image flipped, but I wanted to get one that focused on the tattoo and one on the hair. Ah and my luck of finding one with her hand in her hair - Awesome. Next step? Avis signatures etc for next season. (If I can manage to be that patient) |
