Basic Information Name: Vhast Proctor Race: Human Age: 18 Height: 5'10" Date of Birth: 20th of Spring, 494 AV Appearance Like most of Proctor descent, Vhast is decorated by a thick mop of glossy black hair that enriches the deep-moss green of his eyes. Still tethered to his youth, his fair skin remains undefiled by scar or wrinkle, a quality due in no small part to a pampered and strictly nourished upbringing in Ravok. Lean of build, Vhast lacks in athletic capability. Instead he boasts a discernible cleverness not found by many his age, etched into the grain of each iris that brightens with every mischievous smile he casts. Vhast often suffers from a lack of sleep, his mind restless over the unspeakable betrayal by his own mother. What little rest he does manage is plagued by a single recurring nightmare, recounting the events that took place over and over in his mind. The road to Zeltiva has not been kind to him, and his father has been of little help. What clothes he managed to bring with him have become worn and wrinkled, his composure faltering, giving him the appearance of a young man descended from the balconies of grace and poise. Concept Groomed from noble Ravokian stock, there is an air of hubris about Vhast that no amount of humility has been able to cure. Though not boastful of his exploits and accomplishments, Vhast views the world with but the slightest trace of disdain etched in his composure. Fighting to stay above mortal woes, the pedestal on which he places himself consistently forces him to be a perfectionist in all his academic endeavors. Failure is met with stiff and deprecating reprisal, while victory is little more than a passable attempt. Somewhat mercifully, Vhast holds only himself to this unattainable paradigm. Or so it seems. To his peers, teachers, and everything in between, Vhast can be quite charming if just a touch too inquisitive. Always questioning though rarely challenging, at times his inquiries find their way beneath the skin. It is simply within his nature to ingest all the information he can, a sometimes ravenous look befalling him whenever his curiosities become piqued. To others it can feel somewhat like being analyzed beneath a magnifying glass, a path leading down a dark road towards personal demons the subject in question would rather keep hidden. It has been his youthful innocence that has saved him from reprimand in the past, but now teetering on a socially accepted adulthood, there is no telling how one might react. Born the middle child with an elder sister and younger brother, Vhast was often the scapegoat to his mother's frustrations when either sibling misbehaved. It instilled within him a touch of quiet rebellion so as to make him feel worthy of the discipline he received. To further instigate his dissent however, his father's favoritism towards him and his actions helped to solidify the behavior, allowing it to accompany Vhast to the present. Though he does not actively seek trouble, it has become a conventional response to those who wish to impugn him. It is only with a collected conscience that he has been able to keep himself from behaving mutinously towards his instructors' reprisals.
