[Nature's Nurture] Finding the Right Fit (Lixue)

Salvatore had found himself recently employed and happily so, though he hoped for more patients, perhaps even a solid Veterinarians office. Maybe. He wasn’t sure. But first he had decided it was a lovely morning for a stroll, well, actually he had been simply getting dressed and somehow or other found himself on petal far from where he originally started and yet again shoeless. Wiggling his toes he glanced around trying to figure precisely where he ended up and speaking conversationally to his satchel that was, oddly enough, facing the front of him.

“I’m beginning to wonder if I sleep walk. What do you think?” he paused as if waiting for an answer, “No recommendation, well that’s all good. It’s all good—Oh!” Would you look at that?

Moving closer to the interesting looking plant he gently prodded it, ridiculously large but seemingly harmless. Although things weren’t always what they appeared, probably will bite off my finger. “Yes, that wouldn’t be surprising.”

This caution did not stop him from continuing his prodding and it was only when a voice of one of the natives was sternly telling him that was from someone’s garden that he backed away with a little smiled and apologized with mild sincerity. He had already found something else that caught his eye and with a half wave he wandered around the still talking Jamouran.

On the next petal over (Inner Petals) he noted a building mostly finished with construction, obviously still need a few finishing touches here and there but it seemed to be the most complete building he had seen in so far. What had caught his eye was not necessarily the building though but what it was, even obvious from a distance that it was a medical center. The idea of going rang through him and he moved towards it without further thought, a name he had heard during a previous conversation that he couldn’t quite recall. Because I wasn’t paying attention. “Not a rare occurrence.” Not helpful either.

Upon finally reaching the building he stared around it blankly, efficient and filled with most likely more medical texts and medicines than he had even heard of, not to mention plants with uses he could not even imagine. Drifting over to the nearest person he called softly, felling the urge to stay quite in a place with so many bustling people, “Excuse me, I’m looking a li—“

“Lixue? Most people are. What can I help you with?” No. Not even sure who that is. I was asking about a library.

“Oh wait, yes I do know who that is!”
The young woman looked at him strangely for a moment before nodding briskly and motioning him over to a desk.

“That’s what I said. Now what will you be wanting with her?”

“Right, so, what does she do exactly?” I meant who is she exactly, the name rings a bell but… “I can’t seem to remember precisely where I heard it.”

A gentle impatient tapping and the young woman only shook her head and continued to try and get a straight reply out of Salvatore and not succeeding very well as he himself seemed to be torn between actually conversing, questioning and become more and more lost within his own thoughts. Mostly he stood there like an idiot.
