Gender – Male Height – 6'1'' Weight – 185lbs Skin Color – He is darker than the brilliant skin color of the Symenestra, but only a tad darker then the Konti. Eye Color – A shimmering orange that seems to peer all the way into your soul when you look into his eyes. Hair – Lynes has the same hair color in both his wolf and human form. A dark brown almost black, shoulder length, brindled pattern with silver streaks instead of white. Distinctive Features – Every tooth comes to a point, the teeth of a predator and his orange eyes remain in his human form as all Kelvic. Home City – Syliras Background– Childhood :
The day after Lynes' birth his mother was killed. The assassin was never caught and who it was that killed her was never discovered. His father gave up on continuing on without her and ran into the wilderness after raising Lynes for only two seasons. Lynes hasn't seen his father except for the faint memory of him teaching him to fight and wrestle and then the memory of him walking into the forest. This left Lynes, still just a young cub, to wander the city that he was born into.
"Teen Life" :
Lynes spent the next two seasons just trying to survive. This time was spent learning how to blend into a crowd, and how to hide in the places that were his shelter, barns, crevices in an alley, even along the walls of the city. He got his food from hunting the wilderness right on the border of the city, close enough to run into into the safety of its walls.
Two days before he would be turning one he met a human by the name of Katen (K-Ten) while attempting to steal a loaf of bread from the shack outside of his house while still in his human form. They spoke on the streets and Katen began to give him a small ration of food each day to stop him from stealing the food someone else had earned. They spoke of all things in their travels through the streets. Talk of secrets, tricks, stories, occasionally even history. After speaking for half of a season, Katen offered to take Lynes into his home as long as he would act as a guard dog to any that would want to harm Katen or his wife. Lynes was surprised by the proposal as he had never told this human that he was a Kelvic, but Lynes quickly agreed to this deal recalling that his golden eyes stood out from that of a regular human. He spent the next year traveling the perimeter of Katen's home and traveling with him when he left to go on a trip. Generally all was quiet. On only two occasions did Lynes ever defend his beloved master, once from a burglar that left at the mere sight of the large wolf. A second from an assassin trying to kill the rather wealthy man. When Lynes went to attack the intruded the assassin pressed a 5" knife firmly into his side. After a yelp and a few more collisions between the two, Lynes was able to rip out the throat of the intruder and then inform his master of the intruder. Katen payed no mind to the threat on his life and instead went to his wife for help to patch up Lynes, who still had the knife in his side. He was lucky to have been stabbed in the side as it missed any organ and was an easy fix. After the removal of the knife and a quick stitch job, he would only need rest. It was three seasons since he moved into this human's home and spring was coming around again to show the second year since his birth. A couple of days before the changing of the season Katen informed him that he no longer needed Lynes' assistance. Lynes, although he was hurt, understood. Katen had found a better guard that would be less of a liability. Katen gave Lynes a week's worth of rations and sent him on his way. Young Adult :
Lynes has now spent a season and a half traveling the streets of Syliras, hunting in the wilderness and sleeping in whatever he can find. He has grown to like the wilderness more and ventures a little further away than he use to as a child. Although he still can not bring himself to sleep in the wilderness as he believes the danger would be too great, so he continues to sleep in the shadows of the city.
Personality – Lynes is loyal to any master or mistress' he can find and now that he has aged, he is also interested in a companion as well as a leader. He has difficultly letting any woman be treated harshly and would step in rather than watch it happen. Lynes is proud of himself and walks with purpose although in his mind, he lacks just that, often following people he took a liking to for an opportunity to introduce himself. He has a shy and reserved nature and finds it difficult to approach someone on his own, but will never back down to another male and he will fight over anyone he particularly likes. Lynes is incapable of writing, although he is able to read, but only well enough to make out the rules and laws of the city. He has no lack of intellect though, he just lacks the education and has no interest in getting a better one. Likes - Any company. Leaders Strong-Willed People, No matter what race.
