The Quill's Rest Away from the academic constraints of the University, the Quill's Rest is a safe haven for those who want peace and quiet to write or sketch, and watch the sea roll in on the shore. Housed on one of the upper foothills, it has a wide view of the bay - the vista providing inspiration aplenty - and boasts a cosy, wooden interior, with a large fireplace, and plenty of private nooks to sit in and enjoy the quiet. Though it doesn't serve food, the Rest is a cafe of sorts too, serving up Steamed Kelp Tea to the thirsty patrons as they go about their work. The building also houses scribes, and so those illiterate in the city can come to have whatever they need to be written up. It is often frequented by scholars from the University, who initially came to escape the hustle and bustle of the students in the University. However, the Rest has recently become a popular haunt among the student body, with a Steamed Kelp Tea fad doing the rounds. Luckily, there is plenty of space within the Rest for the professors to still find a little personal space.
