While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

Heartbroken and a mage (Aello)

The woman prodding the girl's back would prove to be a big mistake, because the girl then noticed the woman and slowly turned around. Her smile turned into that of a small child that had found a new toy. She slowly walked after the woman backing away from her and asked: "Why are you walking away? I just wanna play. Aren't I allowed to play?" The tone was childish, almost playful.

She grabbed her glaive from her back and looked at Aello intently with her clouded eyes. "Lady, don't you wanna play? I know a game that's a lot of fun.", she repeated. The girl then started to walk faster, wanting to catch up the the big woman. Her pace wasn't really just normal walking, but more like skipping. Her smile went broader as she kept looking at Aello. If one hadn't heard what she had sad before, one would be able to think that it was a warm normal child's smile, except for the fact that her eyes seemed so dead.

"Let's play tag. I'm it, ok? If I tag you with this toy, you'll have to listen to my request.", she then said. "And start!" Right after saying that, not even listening to what Aello said, she started running. The blade part floated just above the ground, with the cutting edge turned away. It wasn't like she'd aim to cut the woman, but more to break a bone or two. Incapacitate her when possible. That way she would have free reign over doing with her what she wanted.

Heartbroken and a mage (Aello)

Postby Aello on October 5th, 2012, 10:56 pm

Aello's eyes scrunched tightly shut. Petch, she noticed, her mind hissed as she forced herself to open her eyes, and inch another step back. As she did so, her fingers unfurled, allowing the paper to flutter to the ground. Where it was crushed beneath her feet as she kept on receding. Sinking into the shadows cast by the hardwoods. The noise offered by the whistling wind, rustling the leaves.

Her head shook lightly, indicating that not only didn't she understand, but she was somewhat scared, and she certainly didn't want to play. But to Tanjun, Aello's wishes didn't seem to matter. The woman came for her, leaving the girl to turn abruptly on her heel and run. Her arms pumping alongside her step, serving to propel her further away as she wove in and out of the trees.

Somehow, I don't think we're going to like this game, Aello thought, as a clump of saliva gathered in her throat. She could feel it constricting as she tried to swallow. To push past as her boiled leather soles kicked up against the ground. Displacing small stones which ricocheted across the earth, trailing down the narrow rise.

The aurist could feel her heart hammering in her chest as her grip tightened around her father's old bow. Not even a little...

Heartbroken and a mage (Aello)

Postby Tanjun Vorot on October 22nd, 2012, 7:18 pm

The moment the woman, in front of Tan, turned around and started running, the girl just started to laugh like a madman. She followed the woman with her fast-paced running. Even though she was small, by no means was she as slow as a turtle."Run as long as you can. Makes it so much more fun.", she yelled, "Entertain me, entertain me more."

Seeing how the brown-haired lady created slowly some distance between them, Tanjun had to rethink how she'd get to her. But fortunately for her, probably unfortunate for Aello, she came up with a solution quite fast. It was just as simple as crossing a ditch using a pole. The girl just set the blade of her glaive to the ground and jumped off a little and used the handle as a pole to just launch herself at the woman.

"Here I come, I dare you to catch me.", she said just like a child would. The distance Tanjun crossed wasn't that big, but it was enough to reach Aello. If Tanjun would land on her depended on what the woman would do in reaction to the crazy jump the girl just did.

Heartbroken and a mage (Aello)

Postby Aello on October 22nd, 2012, 9:37 pm

Aello's arms flailed, leaving them to pump hastily as her feet pounded against the earth. Her chest rising and falling rapidly as she fought to maintain a decent flow of air; her breath. She could feel her throat constricting all the more as she forced herself to keep on running. Her tongue growing dry as her eyes widened, as her surroundings seemed to head for her just as quickly as she did for them.

"Why would anyone in their right mind want to catch you?" Aello called as she swept to the right. Rounding a series of trees in her attempt at an escape. "You're entirely bonkers."

And here's a secret, not all the best people are...

The huntress gasped as she choked down another breath, and her thumb danced over the supple curve of her father's old bow. Time was ticking. Her power was fleeting, there was only so much more distance she could travel. There was a limit to her strength, the number of chimes she could keep this up. Keep on running.

And she knew it.

Both of them did.

It was enough to make Aello push a little harder for the time, as Tanjun flung herself at her. Leaving the huntress to halt momentarily, and spring to the right, just out of reach.

Maybe she'll run into a petching tree, the huntress thought, as she picked up the pace again. This time, heading towards the south, where she knew she may find the coast if only she ventured far enough. Should she fail not to make a final stand in her state of nearing exhaustion.

Heartbroken and a mage (Aello)

Tanjun landed rather ungracefully. She saw how the large human made a turn and did nothing but run after her again. The remark of Aello fell upon deaf man's ears. The girl was just completely obsessed with the hunt. "Run, run as long as you can. I'll get you anyway, my little toy.", she cackled.

Just like Aello, Tanjun was getting tired. That's why she didn't notice a root sticking out of the ground. It had completly caught her foot and she went face-long into the ground. All she did was shortly yelp, before her face got planted into a patch of mud. Was it bad luck on the girl's part, or good luck on the woman's part? Only the gods knew.

Tanjun lay there on the ground for a few ticks, her face still planted in the mud, before she got up. The crazed glare had disappeared from her eyes, instead they had a rather confused look this time. She was spitting and sneezing as she tried to get the mud out of her mouth and nose. There isn't anyone who'd like to have a mouth or nose full of dirt, and she was no exception.

"What the? Where the heck am I?", she said as she started to look around rather confused.

oocIt's a bit crappy. I know, but hope you can work with it.

Heartbroken and a mage (Aello)

Postby Aello on November 13th, 2012, 5:11 am

Aello didn't hear the thump. The thud, the yelp as Tanjun fell. Didn't see the flailing of arms, or lips parting with the widening of one's eyes. She didn't notice the roots, did not see the trip. She saw nothing really, save for the field of trees that rose before her.

Branches swatting at her face, her legs, her arms, as she darted past them.

The huntress' chest rising and falling rapidly as her arms, aching, continued to swing. Constantly propelling her leaden form. Her feet, which seemed to grow heavier, until they dragged against the earth, and panting, she could move no more.

Frustrated with her lack of endurance, the huntress slowed, allowing her form to settle against an elder oak, she gasped for breath. Her heart hammering in her chest as sweat trickled down the length of her brow and her ears rang. A hollowed bell; a toll, waiting to mark an impending death. But whether it would be hers or that of the crazy girl was difficult to say.

Struggling for breath, her eyes darted from left to right, as her fist tightened around the grip of her father's old bow. Where did she get to? Aello wondered, as her gaze failed to find the one she sought. I could not have lost her, could I?

OOCIt is quite alright, everyone has an off day.

Also, sorry this is terrible.

Heartbroken and a mage (Aello)

The girl had 'awoken' from her crazy mood, but with that she also lost the recollection of what she did. "Where the heck am I? I don't recognize any of this terrain? How am I gonna get back to Ravok now?", she thought a little annoyed.

"Hello? Anybody there?", she shouted in the hope of finding someone that might point her back towards Ravok. Because she had no knowledge of the wilderness, she didn't know that yelling like that was bad, really bad for one's survival. "Can someone point me towards Ravok? I'm kinda lost."

Unknowingly she walked in the direction of Aello, all the time looking around and shouting trying to spot someone. After only a little while, she had now gotten well into the huntress' hearing range, she stopped and flopped down. "How the heck am I gonna get back now?..... Wait, why am I here in the first place?, she thought.
Tanjun had subconsciously started to forget incidents revolving around her brother. She didn't realize this, but it would take a while for her to completely forget everything that had happened from the point where she fell in love with Tanir 6 years ago.

Heartbroken and a mage (Aello)

Postby Aello on November 23rd, 2012, 3:45 am

The hairs on the back of Aello's neck were standing at attention. Her ears prickled, straining to listen as she fought to breath. Her chest rising and falling heavily as she stood beneath the elder oak, seeking its continual shelter.

For several ticks, the huntress stood, listening to the sounds of the forest. The rustling of leaves as the wind blew through, the raucous cawing of a crow, perched on a gnarled tree branch off in the distance.

Did I finally lose her? Aello wondered as she pressed her back against rough bark.

The huntress' heart pounded against her rib cage as her thumb glided uneasily over the supple curve of her father's old bow. For a few ticks, she scarcely breathed, and then, her heart stopped as soon as her ears had picked up on Tanjun's voice.

Her brow furrowed. She is coming. But... her words suggest she does not know why. How could that be? Aello wondered, unless it is some sort of trap...

Which was precisely why she was going to continue to catch her breath, and not leave her hiding place.

Well, maybe Aello would leave her hiding place if she had to...

OOCSorry this is short. Erm... did you have an idea for this still, or did you want to wrap up? I will follow your lead.

Heartbroken and a mage (Aello)

Having heard nothing at all, the girl gave up. What was the point of yelling her voice hoarse if there was no one around anyway? She just continued walking forward, closer and closer to Aello. "Meh, if there's no one around, I'll just have to find my way back to Ravok myself.", she muttered to herself.

Just before she got to Aello's hiding spot, she stopped and looked around again. Nothing in the area seemed familiar to her. How was she going to get back at this rate? "Darnit, I'm completely lost. How the petch am I gonna get back now?", she muttered. "And why the petch does my neck feel so sore"

The girl dropped to the ground and sighed. Looking at the sun, she then muttered: "I should really get back soon, dun wanna spend more then one night outside."

oocSrry it's short, somehow the idea I had before just disappeared

Heartbroken and a mage (Aello)

Postby Aello on November 28th, 2012, 12:26 am

The huntress was as confused as ever as the steps grew closer, and Tanjun's ramblings grew to be less and less sensible. Her brow furrowed, as her fist tightened around the grip of her father's old bow. What the petch is going on? she wondered, as a low thump reached her ears, causing her to lean out, and stretch her neck around the side of the tree, looking for the strange girl.

She could not see her, but Aello could hear her, and that was enough to frighten her back into her place.

She stood there, strong and tall, catching the last of her breath for a few chimes, before deciding to move. Weaving in and out of the line of trees to the east. Away from Tanjun, away from Ravok, so as to keep each of them from a second meeting.

Even if one of the parties may not recall the first; their having a second.

OOCOk, feel free to wrap up I guess.
