Liandra stood outside of the building, hearing the shouts within. She'd heard that this was the place where she could learn to fight. She didn't really have much of a desire to learn, she wasn't a fighter. She just stood there, trying to convince herself to go in. She muttered to herself, "What a stupid law... Why do all citizens have to learn to fight? What would ever be dumb enough to attack Riverfall?" This was where people came to learn how to fight without weapons. She began pacing back and forth, arms crossed as she tried to build up the nerve to go in.
Several passerbys were walking past, seeing the curious sight of the woman split in her decision. She was being forced to learn how to hurt others, in order to stay in the city. And she couldn't just up and leave. She had a place here, a shop, a friend or two. This was her home now. Out loud, "FINE!" She stormed into the building, huffing in frustration, as a large red Akalak approached her. There were a couple of other people waiting around in this entryway, and the mountain of crimson looked down at her. "Well well well, finally decided to get your fishy butt in here? You've been out there for nearly a half bell. I'm guessing from your ranting out there that you are here to learn the basics so the Council doesn't kick you out? Shouldn't be a problem, we'll get those seaweed arms into shape. Keep a hold of that frustration and annoyance, it will help you get into the groove. Let's wait a bit more see if I can get a few more students, then we'll head in and see if we can't teach you a few things."
