The Djed Geysers ![]() In the vastness of the Unforgiving, some things have remained undiscovered since time immemorial. Others, however, are found in the regular course of exploration by the populations of the region. Discovered in the Summer of 512 A.V. by a Lhavitian explorer, Shinya magi suspect these geysers were caused in some way by the storms of wild djed that emanated from Mount Skyinarta. In fact, they are correct. Due to the local topography of the valley, enough chaotic djed was captured and given no exit, that it began to seep down into the subterranean caverns and the great aquifer. At some point a critical mass of the energy was reached for some kind of self-sustaining reaction, and since, geysers of djed have erupted all over the valley. These geysers are a reimancer's nightmare; some are pure djed, others some form of an element entirely infused with djed. Any Leecher attempting to tap these sources of power would surely die, either from the chaotic nature of the djed or from its sheer power. But the power attracts some of the more adventuresome explorers all the same. Some are curious as to whether minerals found in the vicinity might not be precious to wizards, or if there might be something else to gain by braving the dangers. This valley is located a bit south from the large lake lying directly east from Lhavit, making it most easily accessible from Lhavit or Kalinor. Moderator's Note: I'm going to use this location for a small quest, but once that is over, it will be open to play without moderation. In the meantime, please PM me if you want in on it. Thanks, Tabarnac. |
