A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

Kyra stepped into the shop and started to look around. It was much smaller on the inside and would be rather crowded on a busy day. She looked around more, letting her fingers trail over the few masks that were there until she found one that closely resembled the makeup that she wore. Turning back to face Tock, she held the mask up beside her face and smiled brightly.

Moving along she started to look over the instruments. Music was something she enjoyed since she was very young. She couldn't play well as of yet, but she did practice when she could, or forever how long before she became bored and wondered off to do something else.

She looked around more, now focused on the instruments, pulling a string here, and tapping her fingers there to get a sense of the different sounds they could make. As she continued to look around, she stopped suddenly and her eyes moved to the far corner. Against the wall sat a single organ. The same type that her mother had in her home before she was killed.

Kyra stepped over to the instrument and looked closely at it. It looked exactly the same as the one she had watched her mother play. She moved her fingers over the keys, as she tried to remember the notes that she had learned. It was a slow process and she could only remember the keys to the start of the music.

She turned away when frustration started to set in and looked around the shop again. It had an interesting look to it and she thought of telling Marcelo about it. Kyra turned back to Tock and brought a hand to her hip again.
"Okay, I'm bored with this place now."

It's All In The Wrists - Tock (FlashBack)

Tock looked around the little room without much interest. The masks and music instruments that seemed to have captured Kyra's attention were meaningless to her. She didn't much care for music, aside from an occasional bar song. She didn't know how to play any instruments, and didn't intend to learn. If anything, she might one day build an Animated music box, but that was about it.

She nodded when Kyra declared her boredom, not really sure why the girl had gotten so excited to begin with. She put her good arm around the girl's waist and said, "Awright, Sook. Les' getcha on 'ome, 'en." Tock was feeling rather lightheaded, and kinda wanted to go back to the room she was renting and pass out.

She led the girl through the town, walking slowly and leaning on her quite a bit. After a few blocks, she remembered what she was thinking about earlier. That sense of responsibility (such a rare thing for someone like Tock) was still welling up inside her. So she decided to broach the subject.

"So..." she asked, trying to think clearly enough to know how to say this. "Ya knows what 'at bloke were done gonna does ta ya back 'ere? I means... does ya know 'e were gonna done tries fer ta get 'tween yer legs?" Tock was rather... inexperienced in this subject, but she... knew the basic... idea... sort of.

Her face was red, either from embarrassment at the subject or from the brandy. But she pressed on, "Jus' wanna makes sure fer ya know 'ows ta stop a bloke what from takin' what ya ain't wanna give, aye? Anyone what tries ta fer take 'at from ya, ya shank 'im up good, aye? Bleed 'im over the street, if'n 'at's what she takes..." Tock had done that more than once in her life. She'd never killed anyone in Sunberth... but it hadn't been from lack of trying.

Kyra smiled, purring lightly as Tock wrapped her arm around her and led her out of the shop. "Awright, Sook." She wasn't ready to go home just yet, but she knew that Marcelo wouldn't want her to stay out too long. He allowed her to wonder about, but if she stayed out too long he would start to search for her, fearing that something had happened to her. Ravok wasn't the safest place for kevlics that weren't slaves, and as Kyra didn't posses the marking, he had cause to worry more.

Kyra walked along, her arm wrapped around Tock's waist as she leaned on her. Tock reminded her of her mother, and how she would return home at times, seemingly unable to stand on her own. At first glance the young, naive kelvic had thought her mother injured, however it was later explained away as merely fatigue. She would learn later the truth behind it all, when she witnessed quite a few people staggering about in Sunberth.

Kyra looked down at the pouch she still held in her hand and wondered how much was in it. She figured that before the day was gone that she and her new friend could split it between them. She looked to Tock curiously when she started to speak. The smell of the brandy she drank was heavy on her breath and caused the girl to wrinkle her nose a bit.

Still, she leaned in closer trying to understand what the woman was talking about. She thought for a moment and nodded once she understood the basics of her speech. She was aware that the man had something nasty in mind her for. It wasn't surprising as she knew of the evils of mankind. Levuk and those she was unfortunate enough to meet in Sunberth were a grand example of the lowest form of the species.
"I'm careful, I can take a bloke."

Kyra listened and nodded again as Tock continued, her words inciting the young kevlic's violent urges even more. "Bleed 'im dry aye?" I can do that." She smiled again, taking in every word that the woman said, and recording it into her memory for the next time she found a man abusing a woman. Their travel continued and they soon came upon the building that Marcelo's room was in. "You're coming in, yea? Could be fun."

It's All In The Wrists - Tock (FlashBack)

Tock looked at the building they stood before, then snorted and started to laugh. "Oy, yer 'ere?" she asked, waving her hand at the building. "'At's where I's stayin'!" She'd been renting a room here all season, and had had no idea her new friend had a room at the same place. Though there weren't many places in Ravok that offered rooms to outsiders, so it wasn't that unlikely.

"I think what fer I's 'bout ready ta go pass out," she muttered, wrapping her good arm around the girl and giving her a squeeze. "Come'n git me in the mornin', aye? I ain't workin' now... we can does somethin' fun. 'Fore I done leaves the city, aye?" She wasn't going to be here much longer, doubly so if anyone found out about her... activities today. Robbery, assault... technically two counts of assault, if she counted throwing the knife at the man this morning. Tock wasn't normally quite this reckless, but she'd been in a foul mood lately. She'd been itching for a good fight, and beating up that bloke in the alley was exactly the kind of outlet she'd needed for her rage after losing to Crazy Midget Bitch a couple weeks ago.

Kyra put her in a good mood, though. The girl was sweet, eager, and seemed to absorb everything Tock did and said. It was even a little odd... most people didn't latch on to a stranger and start mimicking them so fast. Maybe the girl was just lonely... a feeling Tock could well understand. She squeezed her a moment longer, then kissed the top of her head. "Night, Sook," she said, even though the sun wasn't quite down yet. Still, she knew she was going to pass out the moment she got to her room.

It's All In The Wrists - Tock (FlashBack)

Kyra smiled and giggled along with her, unsure of exactly what they were laughing about. She looked to the building and pointed towards it curiously. "You're staying here too?" The young kelvic didn't think of it as odd or otherwise, she was however, pleased to know that her new friend was close by. She glanced towards the sky again, noticing that it wasn't dark as of yet, but Tock seemed tired or just feeling the effects of the drink she poured down.

"I'm going to be so bored now." She pouted again, wondering what she would do for fun now that her friend was turning in. It was likely that Marcelo was in his room, if he wasn't still at a bar himself. Either way, he would likely be turning down himself, leaving her bored and alone. She perked up when Tock invited her to see her in the morning and Kyra would be sure to take her up on that. She smiled and wrapped both arms around the taller woman, a soft purr escaping her closed lips.

Kyra turned away, keeping an arm around Tock as she helped her inside. Walking almost hip to hip, she led the woman to the door that she waved towards. It took them a moment to find as she seemed to have pointed to several doors with none of them being the right one. It was more fun for her than irritating as they stumbled back and forth across the halls. Once they found her room, Kyra watched her enter and waved her good bye. She sighed as she turned on her heels and lightly skipped back down the hall to find Marcelo's room. If he was asleep then she would just have to wake him, because she had so much to tell him about her day.
