Geothryn threw his arms up in exasperation. "I get your point, alright? I have to be one hundred percent dedicated to the pursuit of dark forces best left alone if I am to even attempt it." He snapped, shaking his head. "My feeble mind can't even begin to comprehend the horrors of learning even the most menial sorceries." He gathered up his lute and flung it over his back, letting the case poke over his shoulder. He then grabbed the book and, instead of giving it to Coren, ignored the mans' outstretched hand and grumbled under his breath. "I'll bring it back myself," said Geo, tucking the book into the folds of his cloak and flipping his hood over his head, mimicking the other mans dark appearance. Emerald strands of hair curled out from under the hood, somewhat diminishing the effect. "Pleasure speaking to you," he said as a farewell, trying his best to keep the sarcasm out of his voice. Something about this man set something off in Geo, a primal urge to puff up his chest and tug at his hair. He was so cocksure about himself, and so disdainful and arrogant and... Patronizing. It was almost enough to make Geo want to scream. Instead he just waved good-bye and stormed off to return the book to the library, grumbling all the way. |
