oocOk, so typing out my post on my phone in a word document helped so much lol Changed a bit but I think it turned out as a good post. Sorry for taking so long, was dead tired after 11 hours of work last night.
Kressha kept her eyes on the boy as he spoke, listening as he offered her a way out of the current predicament. That didn't help her once she was out the door though. She still needed a job and she still really didn't have many other skills that she could use for work either. She needed this job, as low and dirty as it was, she needed the money.
Her enjoyment of sexual activities was probably playing a large part in her decision, but anyone who played with her would know themselves that she liked sex. But she liked it with a certain type of people, and Godric, thank Siku, was not part of that group. His fat, sweaty, stinky and dirty body was not at all attractive to her, he didn't even have what seemed like a good personality to make up for his other downfalls.
But what would happen when she left, she didn't exactly blend in with the majority of the crowd here in Zeltiva, what was to stop Godric from hunting her down, sending his goonies that were sitting around them in the other room after her? She laughed mentally at herself. She'd kill them, of course. She'd have to shift to her Dhani form to do it, but it could be done. The risks were too high though, what if someone saw her? She'd be hunted then. Couldn't have a monster killing people in the streets now, even if they attacked her first.
Even though she was sure she wouldn't leave the job, her mind flashed through all the other skills that she knew she had, or well, lacked. Maybe she'd think of something under the pressure with the boy staring at her, waiting while he held the knife to Godric's neck.
People skills... Yeah, those really weren't all that good, most people she met for the first time instantly assumed she was some Dhani monster bent on dragging them to some dark corner and eating them... Ok, if she were somewhere else and the person was someone she didn't particularly like... That might be a possibility. But instead, she spent quite a bit of effort trying to get people to see her as what she looked like, a small, frail little human girl that just happened to have bad speech. Course, she didn't really know how many actually believed it, still she had to try.
Cooking... Hah! If she was in a group of people traveling, it was surprising how often some big guy wanted to share his food with the tiny girl in the group. And if she was alone, she just ate whatever she caught raw and most likely whole.
Alcoholic drinks? Nah, she didn't really drink that much herself and never felt interested in learning how they were made, though, the kelp beer they served down the street at the Kelp Bar was probably pretty easy to make. Eh, it was still down in this same area, it wouldn't matter if she worked here or there.
Weapons? Again, people liked trying to take care of her out in the wilderness, she'd only actually shot her bow a few times, and her bagh nakh's, she'd worn them but hadn't ever actually used them. She didn't really need to know how to use them that good anyway, all her arrow tips and the tips of her little metal claws were dipped in her own venom she had stored in the vial pendant she had around her neck, hidden under her clothes. She could always think of something to do with her venom, but that would be too risky. Talk of venom mixed with her speech and it would be a dead give away as to what she was. No way would people even half way believe her then.
Sewing? Sure, she could stitch enough thread through two pieces of fabric and make it stay together, but she'd use all the thread there was and it would look like shyke.
No, until she learned or improved other skills, this was what she had to do. At least for the time being. Letting her eyes shift down to Godric again, she moved her hands over to rest against his enlarged stomach pressing the tips of her small claw like weapons she had against her palms, hidden by fabric she had wrapped around her hands and wrists, against his flesh.
"You're sssweet boy, and I ssank you for trying to look out for me, but I won't be leaving ssisss job." Her brows knitted together then a little. Why hadn't she stood up for herself before when Godric first touched her? When had she gotten so... submissive? Had the short times with the innocent Faval made her softer? She shook her head a little as she smiled, leaning in closer to Godric and whispering into his ear. "I won't be leaving, but if I ssee you come back here, or if you sssend ossersss after me, my new friend here will take away sse one ssing ssat bringsss you pleasssure in life..." Her head shifted a little so she could see Leigo's face as she said the next bit. "And I will call sssome friendsss of mine and have ssem make a nessst out of your ssstomach. Itsss plenty large enough to hold a few dozen sssnakesss." Ok, it was risky, but hopefully he would believe she just had Dhani friends and wasn't actually a Dhani herself. Not that she couldn't be the one to lay the eggs in him, she'd just need to find herself a male Dhani in the city first.
She pulled her head slowly away and let her hands slide over his stomach as she tried to hide the disgust from her face. The little claw tips were scratching and snagging on his shirt, a small threat that she could cut him open right now if she wanted to, if she applied enough force. |
