Simply referred to as the Azure by most Lhavitians, the market area is known for having all of its buildings and streets painted in varying shades of vibrant blue. The entrance to this market lies off to the side of the Surya Plaza, the thin passage somewhat hidden to those who aren't familiar with its existence.
It rises up the Zintia peak, composed of climbing hallways that twist along with the mountain and narrow sets of stairs. The marketplace itself consists mostly of alleyways with shops and the occasional more open area where a few stalls might set up; many of these stalls are positioned permanently, but others come and go.
Unlike the Surya Plaza's wares, the Azure caters more to locals of the city. The alleyways are lined with shops, each specializing in different trades. Tools, clothes, and even food can be found here. One must be careful when purchasing items in the Azure, however; shopkeepers will often sell their wares at a higher price than their actual value, expecting customers to haggle the prices down.
Among the many wares that can be sold here, one can also find the nameless shop of Janoh Akimoto. He specializes in the making of okomo equipment. This is the place to go if a rider wants to purchase or commission okomo saddles, armour, or decoration for their mounts. The shop is rather bare, made up of only one room that shows off only some woven blankets. Janoh generally works on his projects in the very same room, making the place look like more of a workshop than anything else.
Janoh's shop is frequented almost exclusively by Shinya, since they are the only people who really require equipment for riding okomo; most citizens who use the beasts to get around are more than content to just throw a blanket over an okomo's back and go from there.
This location is free to self-moderate unless purchasing okomo equipment from Janoh; in that case, please contact your ST for permission and prices.

Janoh Akimoto
Name: Janoh Akimoto
Race: Benshira
Birthdate: 450 AV
Birthplace: Wadrass
Occupation: Shopkeeper in the Azure Market
Skills: Animal Husbandry - 40, Dyeing - 30, Etching - 46, Leatherworking - 89, Metalsmithing - 66, Sewing - 40

Despite being born in Wadrass, Janoh made the arduous trip to Lhavit with his parents when he was quite young; he was raised a Lhavitian, and the culture is all he knows. To this day, he doesn't know exactly why they left his homeland, but the end result is that he grew up in Lhavit. An older man now, Janoh has loved and revered the okomo since his first day in the city, and he devotes his livelihood to crafting armour and decorations for them and their riders.
Janoh knows the marketplace like the back of his hand, and if someone enters his shop asking for something he cannot provide, he will often give directions or even guide them to the nearest shop that sells what they are looking for. Janoh is known to be a dedicated worker, only creating the highest of quality products. He used to work as a caretaker at the Okomo Villa, but his love and passion for the arts inspired him to start a business of his own after his father passed away and left him with a spices shop; he converted the shop into what it is today, dedicating it to his love for the okomo.
He often calls on the help of more skilled friends to collaborate with him, such as the smith Aska Terras and even friends among the Seiza to help him craft the occasional skyglass piece.
Purchasing anything from Janoh's shop requires ST permission and potentially moderation.
