33rd of summer, 512 AV ~ early morning
After a conversation he had with Aehra a couple of days back, Leigo was brought to a staggering realization – he needed clothes, and lots of it. And that was probably the only way to escape walking around naked – Which was bound to happen when one took into account how much trouble he was getting himself into.
Heading down to the General Store, boy wanted to pick out several different attires he could later switch between if he ever needed to do so. And truth be told, having clean clothes would feel good for a change. Somehow along the way, Leigo had gotten the impression he was quite often the dirtiest person in the room.
Yawning half of the way, Leigo was most definitely not a morning person. Still, it was much better getting in early and concluding your business before anyone else could barge in around you and make moving around without a group bothering you rather difficult.
Then imagine his surprise when the door opened and he saw that girl from perhaps ten days past. The same girl who wanted to be a whore – the same girl who threatened to lay snakes inside of Godric. Smiling at the last thought, he would close the door behind him before coming in and remembering he never did learn anything about her. Besides, the shopkeeper seemed busy, so Leigo just mumbled a single word before waiting his turn
“Morning!” |

So it had been longer than what Kressha had originally told the General Store's owner when she would be back. After having gotten herself a job at one of the brothels down on East Street, Kressha wasn't up that early many mornings, at least up early enough for her to come here. He'd suggested she come before the market fully opened and started for the day, so pretty much at the crack of dawn. It had been an easy night for work last night and Kressha had managed to go to sleep at a decent hour.
After washing her face, dressing and grabbing the dress that she was going to have fitted, Kressha was off toward the market. It didn't take her long to get there as there were only a few people scattered on the street, nothing like during the middle of the day where one had to weave this way and that way to get anywhere here. Stepping through the open door to the shop, Kressha took a moment to let her eyes adjust to the darker interior before calling out. "Hello?" It didn't take but a moment for the familiar shop keepers head to poke out from behind the counter, a smile spreading on his face a moment later as he recognized who his customer was. Kressha wasn't exactly someone people easily forgot. "Isss your offer to fit ssisss dressssss ssstill good?" She asked, holding up the cream colored dress she'd purchased from the store some time ago.
"Of course it is! I wouldn't offer a customer a service then yank it back. Come in come in. I was just getting the shop set up for the day." He said, bending down behind the counter again to finish whatever he had been doing. "When you didn't come back the day after you got that..." He stood up again, closing a cabinet under the counter, he smiled. "I'd figured you'd went and found someone else to do the work. I'm glad you didn't."
Kressha gave him a soft smile as she came farther in, letting the door close behind her. "I wouldn't take your productsss sssomewhere elssse unlessssss you hadn't offered to fit it for me." She watched as he motioned her to a clear spot in the middle of the shop and she moved to it only to turn her head as she watched him circle around her, actually getting a good look at her size now.
"My my, you are a tiny thing. Well, there is a shade in the back corner," He lifted a hand and pointed it out to her, "you can change into the dress back there then we can start the fitting."
Kressha looked to where he indicated and gave a nod of her head and went to the back of the shop. It didn't take her long to come back out, changed into the slightly over sized dress. She felt like she was some kid, playing dress-up in her mothers clothes. She moved back over to the open space in the shop again and without delay, the shop keeper started pinching and pulling at the fabric, using pins to hold it in place as he worked.
Hearing someone enter the shop from behind her, Kressha turned her head and looked over her shoulder only to spot the boy she'd met her first night of work. She couldn't stop the smile from touching her lips as she recalled what had happened that night. She would have waved to him, but the shop keeper was busy pinning the fabric on her arms right then and she didn't want to move too much or else she might get stuck with one of the needles.
"Morning to you too. Didn't ssink I'd ever sssee you again." |

Kressha is a Viper Dhani. She looks like a small weak human standing at 5'0" and is quite playful. Her speech is the only thing that hints really at what she is, but she is trying to learn to sound more human. When she speaks, a double s (ss) means a [th] sound, that she cannot say. A triple s (sss) means just an [s], but it is extended in her speech. Thanks to Ssafirsotibones for helping me with her speech and letting me borrow his signature! |

Looking down, Leigo would get over his initial confusion easily. She seemed to want to make a life for her within the city, going to the General Store was just one part of it. There was never anyone calling themselves Zeltivan that haven’t visited the place at least once. Quite a few were even regular patrons, which was strange for such a rundown establishment. Perhaps that wasn’t the best word to describe it, but compared to some of the things he had seen on West Street, it really did appear to be so.
“Likewise – You should’ve left, or at least tried to stay out of sight for a while” he could never grasp as to why would anyone willingly sell their body away, but it wasn’t his business anyway. Then he’d add something else “Business is good?” more of a joke than an actual question, boy wouldn’t need an answer. Getting one was just as well though. |
