85th of Summer, 512 AV

It was nearing the end of summer, yes, but this was absolutely ridiculous. A bit of snow, he could understand. City of illusions, and all that. But today... Zorias sighed to himself. Well, hopefully snow in the summer meant heat in the winter.

Now, if only he could figure out how to get out of this pile. Being stuck chest deep in snow was not his idea of fun... Petching mini-avalanche. He'd been walking around, just exploring the city, and when he turned the corner he'd found himself at the bottom of a mountain of snow. He'd sneezed, and the whole thing had come crashing down on him.

Wriggling around, he managed only to get himself deeper into the snow. He tried hauling himself up, but the snow was packed tight.

Finally giving up, he began to call out for other people

"HELLO? IS ANYONE THERE?"

A snowflake landed lightly on Thylia's nose and she shook her head vigorously trying to get rid of it. How can it be snowing in summer? She thought to herself in exasperation as she glanced at the city around her. She had only been there for a few days and was well and truly lost. She hadn't seen a single other soul in those days and it was starting to frighten her.

Her eyes flicked from shadow to shadow in suspicion, who knows what could be hiding their without her ever knowing? Her paranoia struck at the most annoying of moments and now was one of them. She could just imagine arms reaching from a lonely street corner and attacking her with no one to know any better. She squeezed her large, black eyes shut and put her hands over her ears. There is nothing there, of course nothing would want to get a poor kelvic like you. She tried and failed to relax her tensed nerves and racing heartbeat. She steadied herself slightly and opened her eyes and grabbed a nearby wall as a gust of wind blew passed.

She pulled her cloak tighter around her slight form and kept walking forewords on the balls of her feet. The streets of the city went on forever, or so it seemed to her as she trudged on.

A rustling sound pierced the air and she jumped a full four feet in the air before she landed, eyes wide open. She strained her ears for another sound and pushed herself against the hard, stone wall before a cry sounded. 'HELLO? IS ANYONE THERE?' She turned towards where the voice was coming from and began making her way slowly towards the sound, Someone needs help, she thought to herself trying to muster up the willpower to move faster. She crept towards the sound and was greeted by a man who seemed to be stuck in a pile of snow.

She walked out to where he could see her and glanced at the snow around him. 'Do you want me to help you?' She asked hesitantly in a small voice. As she fumbled with her backpack straps.

Zorias groaned in frustration. This was embarrassing. He was stuck in a pile of snow. Some big bad mercenary you are He grumbled to himself. Felled by a pile of slush. He began trying to dig himself out, so focused on his own struggle that he didn't notice the girl slowly approaching him.

"Do you want me to help you?"

He started when she spoke up, and let out a hiss of surprise. Oh petch. He was really not having a good day. First trapped by snow, then surprised by a youngling. Or whatever it was humans called them.

"Yes.... About that. I think I have upset a god or goddess somewhere, since someone has decided to bury me in snow long before snow should be falling." That sentence sounded so much snarkier in Snake. Pity. "Could you please help me out of this snow?"

Thylia backed away a little in a practiced reflex when the strange man let out a hiss, she had been in so many unfriendly situations it had become a habit to react to everyone in a wary manner. She sniffed his scent engraving it in her memory, who knew when it would come in handy and it would be helpful to know who she was dealing with if she ever met him again. Her road worn cloak fluttered slightly, letting an unwelcome hand of frost caress her sun darkened skin. She ignored it and looked steadily at the pile of snow surrounding the man.

"Yes.... About that. I think I have upset a god or goddess somewhere, since someone has decided to bury me in snow long before snow should be falling." Could you please help me out of this snow?"

The young kelvic nodded her head bluntly to the question and stalked around the small mountain of snow that had built up around the man, 'I'll see what I can do, Mr Lizard.' She said with a hint of humor after scenting a faint reptile tinge in his smell. She blinked her pupiless eyes slowly once before she crouched close to the ground like a hunting cat and shifted into her civet form in moments. Her now furry brown and black body protected her from the snow that was such a pain in her human form, Much better She thought contentedly as she shuffled out of her now large clothes. She stretched out her muscles silently and padded closer to the pile of white before sinking her claws into the mass. She pulled back in one easy swipe and slowly began the task of moving the hard packed ice.

It shifted beneath her relentless pounding paws and was dislodged collapsing in on itself, before she swiftly turned and dashed back to her clothes, where she shifted back to a human form. Her hair was now a dust colored mess hanging over the shoulder of her forest green shirt.

Nas was wearing his cloak after his house apeared to be colder for some reason now that summer was ending still he wasn't prepared as he got out of his house and walked around the corner to see a man almost neck deep in snow and a kid trying to help...propably Nas was very suprised even if his face was as stoic as ever then again this was no suprise nuits were famous for their cold calculating feelings......most of them Nas was still young in age so he wasn't as cold.

Still looking over there the man was in deep trouble maybe unless this was some trick, he decided that he should speak up ask if they needed some help "Erm hello there do you need any help?" maybe he could help despite not having a strong body a well placed bolt of fire might help a bit if that person? was stuck he looked over there his short-sword might help hack the ice a bit.

Mr Lizard? What in Siku's name... Surely it was a coincidence. There was no way anyone could know what he was just by looking at him. And besides, he was a snake, not a lizard.

What an odd child. She looked so young, yet seemed somehow... not. Zor studied her carefully as she walked, his eyes narrowing. She seemed to, not walk, but creep, or perhaps stalk, almost like a hunter. Or a predator. In fact, "predator" fit the girl perfectly. How she had recoiled at his hiss, and seemed almost to sniff him, and even the way she crouched and shif-

Oh. Of course.

"Kelvic." He said, now understanding. Zorias had encountered a few in the past, if you considered them being on the business end of his spear to be "encountering", but never really met one. A cat... She must have been able to smell snake on him, then, even in her human form. Squishing a twinge of envy, he leant back as her claws pulled back a massive clump of ice and snow, nearly taking a bit of his cloak with it.

Pushing at the side of the hole, he managed to free his spear from where it had been trapped at his back. Now that he has a bit of space, he began to push through the soft snow remaining. Hopefully he could escape this pile with something vaguely resembling his dign-

Zor broke through, just as another voice called out. Turning to see who it was, Zorias lost his footing, and ended up face first in the snow.

At least he was out of the pile. Owwwww.

Gingerly picking himself up, he glanced at the new arrival. A tall man, cloaked, masked, and really rather imposing. He was carrying a short-sword, something Zorias would find odd if he himself didn't have a spear strapped to his back tossed rather unceremoniously on the ground. Picking it up, he turned to the kelvic with a grin.

"Thanks. I was getting a bit cold in there. I was worried I would have to wait until.." He paused for a moment, uncertain how to say it in common. "until I stopped focusing. Things here seem to disappear if you stop focusing on them."

SnowmenOK, while Zor is talking, the pile of snow behind him is shaping itself into two snowmen. Just FYI.

Thylia heard the lizard man say what she was, kelvic, and she couldn't restrain the faintest smile from touching her lightly, tanned features. Her callused hands were slightly cold now due to her recent activities and she frowned thinking of how fragile humans really were. They get affected by the smallest things she thought in annoyance remembering a past incidence which just added to her conviction.

She faintly heard another man approaching, his footsteps cracking the blanket of white on the ground, and couldn't help but react by drawing back away from the sound in the almost silent street. I seem to be doing that a lot recently, she sighed as she turned her attention to the newcomer. She studied him intently while looking at the other man through the corner of her dark eyes. She almost missed the snowman which was forming in the background but her mind dismissed it as an illusion as many things in the city seemed to be.

'Who are you?' She inquired in as polite a voice as she could manage. Was this newcomer here by coincidence? Or was it something else? Better safe then sorry. She changed her footing leaving almost no imprint in the snow to show her passage, she tensed her muscles slightly and moved closer to the pair.

Her expression changed to one of complete, open friendliness trying to invoke a response in the mysterious stranger.

It seemed like there was no need for Nas to do anything that girl got the man safely out safely.Still it seemed he was new to Alvadas himself
"Who are you?" Nas was taken aback by that he had forgoten the girl in his hurry to check on the man
"No one important my names Nas nice to meet you both" he said that, but he noted the man was back on his feet he smilled to the mans words "You must be new to Alvadas what you said is half truth of course a side trick that helps with-" he stopped speaking as he noticed the snowmen behind Zorias this wasnt normal at all they ussually formed at the temple....emphasis on ussually then he did a mental note on that.

"Erm that aint normal" he pointed behind Zorias as he put his hand on the hilt of his weapon if they were dangerous it could get problematic or not still he forced himself to gather some djed on his right palm as he was starting to feel a bit nervous messing up his concetration and gathering looks like he wasn't able to create it fast enought as it was transformed into res it would help if the snowmen dint atack, but somehow he doubted that.

oocil assume that Zorias got out by the time she spoke to me?

Zor watched the Kelvic's interaction with the newcomer with interest, noting, first her tension, then her sudden friendliness. And he thought he was jumpy. This one was so high strung, it wouldn't surprise him at all if she had something to hide. Although maybe that was just how kelvics were all the time, letting their animal sides take over.

He turned to Naz as the man trailed off, staring behind Zor. "What?"

Zor whirled around when the main pointed, and immediately yelped in surprise as a snowman slapped him with a comically cliche arm-stick. He scrambled away, pulling his spear from his back. Rubbing his cheek, he glanced at the other two. Naz had a shortsword, but somehow that didn't seem like it would be very effective against a walking pile of slush. The cat... well. He wasn't really sure how useful she'd be against snowmen, but who knew.

And in the meantime, since Naz seemed to know quite a bit about the city... "Is anything in this city really "normal"? Because I do not see how snowmen are any odder than streets that move-" He stumbled back as a yellow snowball hit him in the face. Sweet Siku, why was this city intent on interrupting his every sentence and thought? Spitting out the sour snow, he hissed in disgust. "Or, for that matter, lemon tasting snow."

It was so on now. Falling into a fighting stance, he glowered at the snowmen, daring them to throw another snowball at him.

Thylia narrowed her midnight eyes ever so slightly for an instant when the man, Naz, gave his reply. She was slightly irritated by the lack of response but decided against reacting to it. That would only cause an unnecessary conflict with someone she barely knew, she didn't know his strengths and how good he was with the sword he carried. It would just be a childish argument that would get her nowhere. A strand of dirt brown hair drifted down to cover her face distracting her wandering mind before she blew it out of the way.

The pile of icy whiteness which she had glimpsed earlier seemed to be moving and not only that, Naz seemed to be able to see it to so she focused more closely on it as it formed and slapped the other man as she watched. She had never seen a snowman before but she had listened to enough children talk of the snow to know this must be one. She frowned in slight confusion before she heard the ring of metal as a spear was drawn. She took a great intake of breath and her hand immediately went to her side pocket as the lizard man scrambled in the snow. She glanced out of the corner of her eye and tried to see the other man's sword with her poor vision, to see if he was going to use it, before taking stock of all the items she could use. She almost giggled at the thought of fighting a snowman it was completely ridiculous to her, fighting ice, how were you supposed to fight a pile of ice that wasn't even supposed to be alive, let alone assaulting people.

A ball of yellow sailed into lizard's face and she raised her angular eyebrows at the mention of lemons. What was going on here? Maybe this was what Naz meant when he spoke of the city. She shook the thoughts from her mind and slowly crept forwards before she leapt onto all fours as a colored ball of ice was sent flying over where her head had been moments before. She removed her hand from her pocket thinking against the use of that object. She would save it for later if the need came to use it. She spread her feet on the ground and dug her claws for a better grip as she contemplated whether to spring at the men of snow or wait and see what would happen next.
