Timestamp: TBA by the Vanguard Location: The Wildllands Contract: 500 Gold Mizas Consignee: The Aviankalis Cattle Ranch So technically it wasn't the most glorious of missions. But when the Aviankalis Cattle Spread had a theft, it was a big deal in Sylira. Everyone knew they raised most of the beef for Syliras and some of what was jerked and sent to Zeltiva as well. And without their breeding stock, it was incredibly damaging to the operation. For, about five years ago Jonathan Aviankalis had a mysterious birth on this spread. A bull was born with an incredibly massive set of horns. He was larger and stronger than anything that had been born on Jon's lands for years. In fact, he was so strong and so massive that he often had no problems dealing with the predators that often threatened the herd. He was so protective, that the bull was often equated to the gods Izurdin for his strength and Tyeth for his sense of honor. Thus, his name was Tyzur. It was often joked, in fact, that the bull carried gnosis marks from each. It was a ridiculous rumor, but was also a convincing way to explain how he was so extraordinary. And now, Tyzur was gone. There was no sign of bloodshed or a battle, which would have been apparent if a predator had taken him. Instead, there was an open bullpen, a missing bull, and a ransom note that asked for 5,000 Mizas for his safe return. Jonathan, however, didn't have that kind of funding. No one did in this day and age - no matter how rich a cattle rancher actually was. And the truth was they couldn't sell Tyzur. Everyone in the Region would recognize him. So Jonathan did the one thing he could think of.... he went into Syliras and advertised at the employment office for a merc group to try and help him recover the bull. He asked interested parties to meet him on his property today, at the bull pen, and he'd discuss the details of the contract with them pending the safe return of his bull. And so it was at midday, Jonathan was out by the pen hoping beyond hope that some good mercs would show up for the contract. He needed smart thinking, intelligent individuals, and those with a large batch of courage. He didn't know who took his bull - but in order to do it they had to have some extensive knowledge of cattle and a good feel for handling a difficult unwieldy situation. And so the rancher waited... patiently. |
