It was a long pause. Maybe even a full five chimes of thinking.
His whole life, Gale was never the stronger one in the groups or classes. Or anything actually. He settled for the left overs of what everyone did. Not that he cared till now. He was pretty much invisble to everyone. Except the occasional person who would try and take advantage of him and just try and make him miserable, like the boys back when he first met Ignotus. He's always just excepted it in a way and was optomistic about the situation, thinking things like,"Oh, it's a one time thing" and such. But he was clearly wrong.
He wasn't going to take it anymore. Not when you go that far. Not when you cut the most important thing out of his life and trap him in a ball of depression. He wasn't going to just stand by and wait for it to happen again. He was going to stand up for himself. He was going to take that man's life. Prove he wasn't one to mess with.
This wasn't for Hana...This was for him.
"Where is he?" Gale asked, lifting his head and turning it to look at the man.
It wasn't just hatred in his eyes. There was selfishness.

"Where is he?"
Ignotus had to suppress a grin, plastering a grave expression on his face instead. "Come with me..."
He rose and beckoned him to follow, then plunged back into the city proper. Of course, there was no such Kelvic. There never was. Walking through the salty city, Ignotus was paying most of his attention to everyone around him, trying to find someone particularly nice looking to be his Kelvic. "That one's a little scrawny... That scar is just unsightly... Ooh, she looks innocent! Mm, but he seems so charming..."
Eventually they made it to the Kelp Bar. Ignotus didn't bother ordering anything; they'd not be there long, and he didn't drink. Casting his eyes over the crowded tavern, he finally found what he was looking for. A handsome looking young man with pitch dark hair and sun burnt skin, with a lean, muscled frame. He pointed subtly in his direction, and whispered worriedly, "That's him..."

Gale stood up to walk with Ignotus as they walked around. His head turned from side to side, glaring at anyone who spared him a glance. He was just so petching furious he didn't care about what might happen. His thoughts about it all being a lie were gone, not stopping to think twice about what he was going to do. Was he a man to just kill someone in cold blood? Not really, but to him this wasn't cold blood. Emotions had everything to do with it. Gale walked, his hands taping his thighs from inside his pockets.
How was he going to do it though? He had no weapons and he didn't expect Ignotus to have any on him at the moment. He'd probably find something to use, depending on where the guy was. But he knew for a fact he was going to do it slowly if possible. He took his time with Hana, it was only fair to return the favor. He was going to get what he deserved.
Not knowing the man that Ignotus had shown him, once at the Kelp Bar, did nothing to him, Gale smirked at his own thoughts. Now all he needed was something to use...
Gale looked around as noticed the glass mugs. His smirk transformed into a smile. Having some of his mizas on him, Gale got a drink from the lady tending to the bar. He took only a few sips of it before jerking his hand and body to look at Ignotus.
"You know-"
His mug shattered after slamming into the side of the bar, the beer and glass going all over the floor, the counter, and the two men. Gale jumped up as if surprised by the sudden splash of beer and glass on his lap. People around the room looked over at the loud noise.
"Oh, I'm so sorry." Gale said to the lady as he carefully brushed the shards off his shirt and into his hand, placing them on the counter. "It was an accident, I'm so sorry." Gale said as he knelt down to pick up the bigger pieces on the ground. He placed the shards on the counter, but keeping on of the bigger pieces in his hand. He held it in a way as to not cut himself but to keep it hidden as well. "You know what, I'll pay for that."He used his other hand to pull out a gold rimmed miza and hand it to her. "Keep the change." He told her with a chuckle of embarrassment and nervousness.
Gale looked around with a nervous smirk as if to see if anyone saw what happened. Of course everyone did. You can't just randomly break a mug without someone noticing. Gale nodded awkwardly and headed out, keeping the hand with the shard close to himself to keep it hidden. Outside, he would wait.

Ignotus raised an intrigued eyebrow as Gale got a glass from the barmaid, the corner of his mouth twitching for a barely perceptible moment. So he was resourceful. This was good. Very good. The Hypnotist turned his attention to the people looking over at the scene of shattered glass, and where his gaze went, apathy followed. With a couple of the more curious (or bloodthirsty) patrons, he had to be a little more assertive. Focusing a little harder, and forcing the message to the forefront of his mind, and out through his eyes to the patron, he caused the thought to pop into their head, "Best not to get involved."
It was unfortunate that the stab wounds would leave the man unusable, but it would still be fine entertainment. Turning to the girl, Ignotus offered her a reassuring smile and turned out the palm of his hand, "Nothing for me, thank you." before settling down in a seat where he could comfortably view the outside of the bar without drawing undue attention to himself. It wouldn't do to miss the show, after all.
As it turned out, the "Kelvic" spent quite a long time talking and drinking and joking at a somewhat crowded table. Syna had started to set before he finally slammed his hands on the table and said, "Well, I best get home to the Missus, before she starts worrying. Don't want a smack on the ears, now do I?" provoking a gale of laughter and affectionate punches from his fellow sailors, along with a couple cajoling cries of "Go on, get out of here ya bastard!"
The sailor swaggered out, paying no mind to Gale. Sure, he was a nice looking lad, but he had somewhere to go, and fast. As such, he chose to cut between a couple older buildings, heading into the shady alleyway with the blind confidence that only a few mugs of kelp beer can create. The poor man had no idea the little artist he'd passed was concealing a shank, or that he had marked the "assassin" for death. All he was concerned with was his worried wife, and getting back to her. Ignotus calmly began to stroll out when the sailor turned his back to Gale, catching a mottled white feather between his spindly fingers as he stepped out of the bar. Probably one that belonged to a seagull.

OOCYou're a jerk. Making Gale kill someone with a family. Bad Iggy, Bad.
Gale was leaning against the Kelp Bar wall, his arms and legs crossed casually, his head back against the wall in boredom from waiting. He dropped his hands to his sides, his dominant left hand holding the shard. When Syna started to lower herself down from the sky , a devious smile swept across Gale's face as the man left the Bar.
Gale pushed himself off the wall, his hands casually at his side. He looked around with a brief glance before following the sailor into the alleys. Was he trying to make this as easy as possible? Not that Gale knew if this was going to be easy or not. But being in the alleys was just perfect.
If Gale knew, however, that the man had a family, he might have thought twice and possible not have even given this murder business a second thought and just go home. Yes, the man deserved it but his family didn't. But Gale didn't know, did he?
Gale stayed as quiet as possible, and stay to the darker parts of the alley. He was soon within arms length. Gale reached up to the taller man's mouth, his free hand clasping around it from behind. Gale hoped the element of surprise would help him in his current situation. He kicked the back of the black haired man's knee to bring him down.

The man hadn't expected to be jumped in an alley, and his reflexes were dulled by drink. As such, he toppled to his knees when Gale kicked him. That didn't mean he wasn't going down without a fight, however. His hand curled into a fist, and he swung the side of it out at Gale like a hammer, turning and trying to ram his shoulder into the man's stomach with an angry roar whether or not the strike connected.
If he succeeded in taking Gale down, and the artist didn't do something clever, he'd draw his hand back and slam his fist into his assailant's jaw with a growl, "You picked the wrong guy to mug, bub!"
Ignotus released the feather, a light breeze sending it cartwheeling through the air and down the alley while the sounds of merry men continued in the oblivious bar.

The weapon skewered into the man's brain with a sickening squelch, the clear jelly of his burst eye dripping onto Gale's knuckles, soon followed by rivulets of burning red blood, seeping between his fingers and down his wrist and arm, hot as condemning hellfire. Blanching hands scrabbled towards Gale's throat, legs kicked madly and rapid ragged gasps tore from the man's failing lungs as his body desperately tried to cling to life. Slowly the shank sunk deeper into his head, and his frantic jerking devolved into aimless twitches. The dying sailor's hand clawed at Gale's eyes, pushing the lid of up while painting crimson streaks on his face like macabre war paint. The warmth began to leave his body as his slackening mouth sucked in one last breath of air, ropes of mottled pink saliva breaking, purple tongue lolling.
The sailor's body sagged against Gale, his other eye, piercing blue in color, staring sightlessly into the artist's own. The hand on his face slowly slid off and landed with a wet thump on the cobblestone as blood continued to leak from the mortal wound. A final twitch of his foot, and he was still. The feather landed on his back, and Ignotus yawned.

Gale held the smile as the glass pierced the victim's eyes and his palm. His palm stung from the cuts from the glass during the action but hopefully it was nothing he couldn't handle. He should probably be more worried about the larger and deeper cut from when he shoved the glass in his eye then the others. His arm covering his throat as he scrambled for it. The feeling the heat of the man's blood dribbling down his hand and arm only made his damnable smile grow even wider.
Serves him right. Now to get this twitching bastard off of h-
Blood was smeared across his eyebrow, forehead, and face as the dying man tried to get at his eyes. Gale turned his head to the side to avoid getting his eye poked out. The hand slid down to the ground with a thud and the body went limp.
"Hm." Gale smiled as if in approval.
Gale shoved the man, who's life he had taken, off of him so he could stand. Once standing, Gale looked at his bloody hand, having his and the man's on it. He wiped it on a clean part of his shirt. Not like he was going to wear this shirt anymore. After doing so, he stooped down and pulled the glass out of the man's eye. He headed out of the alley with his execrable smile.

Ignotus nodded casually to Gale as he emerged back into the jaundice-colored torchlight. "Excellent work." he muttered under his breath, allowing himself a ghost of a grin. A few people were emerging from the Kelp Bar, some of them spotting the corpse in the alley. Worried mumbling started almost immediately. A good number of them just shook their heads in pity, one of them making a "Tsk tsk," sound, but two of them immediately dashed off.
The wizard shrugged as buzzards began to descend to feast on the fresh carcass. A pity Gale had ruined him. He would have made a fine body. He patted the artist, now murderer, on the arm in an almost paternal fashion. "He had to go, Gale..."
Suddenly, a very different noise pierced the dim. A horrified shriek cut through the night and sent the crows cawing and flapping away. "DAVID!"
The noise came from a young woman who couldn't have been much older than nineteen, with straight, dark hair cascading down her shoulder blades, deep brown eyes, and a forest green dress. The girl threw herself onto the man in the muddy alley, sending a spray of water droplets from a puddle and flipping the dead sailor onto his back. She grabbed and pounded on his chest, sobbing, "Get up... Please get up!"
A small crowd gathered around the alley, horrified murmurs buzzing within it like the inside of a bee hive, while the miserable wails of the sailor's wife formed the backdrop to their macabre conversation. Ignotus stayed just behind it, burying his face in his cloak. His shoulders shuddered as his breath came in sharp droughts through his nose. No one could see, but the Nuit was laughing.
