Delightful. More strange glyphed circles. This was starting to
feel familiar. Of course, it only made him more confident that this would be easy to live through. Smiling wryly at Azarov's observation, Ignotus settled down cross-legged in the circle. Indeed, it
was easy to hold still. If Azarov didn't know better, he might have even mistaken Ignotus for an actual corpse, albeit a sitting one.
Taking time to concentrate was understandable, as well as welcome. What wasn't welcome, but expected, was the pain. Ignotus had gone through his fair share of agony. After all, he
had died. It would have been difficult to refuse the urge to flinch, except that his entire body had become unresponsive. It was... Unpleasant.
And then it was finished. Shaking his head in the negative in response to Azarov's question, Ignotus grinned and looked down at his own hand. Casting his thoughts to the Djed welled in his stomach, he pushed it into the ichor that contained his soul, probing for the fracture that the professor had made. "I feel... Fantastic."
In a couple more chimes, he located the break that had been made during the initation, and, not unlike what he did to his aura when using Hypnotism, cut into into it at the location of his hand. Shutting his eyes, Ignotus focused entirely on his skeleton. In his mind, it was best to detach the sturdiest parts first if he wanted to make things easier. Although it was still quite unwieldy...
After another two chimes, the section of his astral body controlling his hand broke completely with his bones, held on by little more than sinew. Sinew whose threads to his soul were easily severed. Turning his ethereal hand over, the Nuit's grin grew. This wasn't just wonderful... This was
easy. Decades of vomiting out his entire soul and reattaching it had left him with a certain foundation to build off of, though it only assisted in getting comfortable. There were major differences that would still make learning difficult, but for now... Using his other hand as a focus aid, Ignotus made a turning motion, and stretched his astral wrist a half-dozen feet before turning the doorknob and letting the door to the classroom swing open.
After marveling delightedly at his new-found power, and returning his astral hand to its proper place using the same joint-then-skin approach, Ignotus stood up and bowed to Azarov. "It's an honor to have been initiated by you, professor."
