Tourmal Firemane Physical Description Tourmal Firemane of the Ruby Clan is a 28 year old male Drykas born on the 28th day of spring in the year 485 AV. Standing at six feet two inches and weighing two hundred lbs, he is looked upon as a man of formidable size as Drykas are concerned. The golden brown tint of his skin and similarly colored brown hair often lead to him receiving what he considers a compliment of being a living bronze statue. When describing him his mother often says his eyes are as if Semele herself cut two peridot gems each centered with amber star-burst. His wind-marks resemble a wing located on the right side of his back. It runs from a few inches below his right shoulder blade, over his right shoulder ending a few inches into his right pectoral. Character Concept After his brothers death Tourmal became extremely, introverted. Some compared this characteristic of his to Isurians. He has also found the answer to a long standing feeling of dissatisfaction with his life in Weaponsmithing. His ambition to constantly improve increase these comparisons to his alleged Isurian ancestry. A few years ago he began coming out of the shell he was hiding in due to taking up drinking with his fellow smithies. Having grown up in Cyphrus he often sits reminiscing of the vast reaches of the Sea of Grass. Due to this he often finds himself laying on the grass lawns in the public courtyards of Syliras. However this in no way fulfills his longing to return to the harlequinHarlequin is a shade of green between green and yellow closer to green. plains. When he is not relaxing in the courtyards he can often be found enjoying a drink at the nearby taverns. Concerning morals his Drykas upbringing has led him to vehemently abhor physical, verbal, and metal abuse directed towards women and children. Which sometimes ends with him paying for his actions after an altercation. Character History As a child Tourmal was raised in Endrykas, following it's regular migration pattern around Cyphrus. His parents felt that it was better to raise their children there so they would not need to hunt and gather food themselves. Rather they would trade and barter for goods obtained by clans more suited for such tasks. The cyclic stops around Cyphrus provided their Pavilion with the wares to continue their crafts and ensure they had everything necessary for a budding family to survive. On the first anniversary of Tourmal's brother's death, he was having a particularly hard time dealing with it so he walked off to the fringes of their families camp. Later that day he received his wind-marks. This helped him cope on the day of his brothers death. No longer was it just a day of mourning but also the anniversary of a beautiful friendship that would last well into his adulthood. At nineteen Tourmal left his home in Cyphrus with his strider Aurus. Having arrived in Syliras Tourmal quickly found living accommodations and employment. He then settled into the day to day life that is customary to most inhabitants of Syliras. Tourmal is currently employed at the Iron Works. Due to his considerable size many find him rather imposing and more than not avoid him. Tourmal has come to enjoy the solitude this has brought on him allowing him to find relaxation outdoors, or at the bottom of a pint of ale. Occasionally he indulges in some more savory forms of entertainment. Tourmal has also befriended a doctor by the name of Orion Michaels, the two often share a pint or two at the Rearing Stallion. It is an odd combination, the two of them a doctor and a smithy however their shared feelings for women and drink brought the two together forming a friendship between the least likely of professions. Tourmal's apartment like most others apartment's is situated deep within the interior of Stormhold Citadel and has no windows, only ventilation shaft to bring in fresh air. Each hallway is lined with torches which are kept lit at all hours of the day, allowing for light which gives Tourmal free access to something to light his hearth from.
