[Inclement Weather] Bragging Rights (Leaf/Niro/Shadow)

Postby Niro on September 19th, 2012, 3:02 am

Something was off about Leaf today. He annoyed Niro down to his core as it was, but he was much more loose today, and that slightly unnerved young Inarta. He raised an eyebrow as the man let a loud laugh. Wh-what is up with him, tonight? "Well, you know me, I'm only looking out for you-." Suddenly interrupted by a cool drink in his face, Niro stopped mid sentence, summoning every ounce of his minimal self control not to lunge at the infuriating man.

Now faced with two unwanted cloths to clean up from an unwanted situation, the fiery Avora shook his head and swatted them both aside, instead opting to reach for and snag the dark haired man's new drink as it arrived. "I'd do more than lick a Dek if she were attractive enough," he quipped, downing his drink, letting out a contented sigh. "I'll tell you what, you've got a pretty good choice in drink, even if you're full of shyke. Here." He tossed the empty glass to Leaf, a grin spreading across his wet face.

Turning his attention to the purple haired man, he frowned slightly. "Well, you've got a lot to learn about the Inarta." He tilted his head to the side, his neck popping as he did so. Niro found this man annoying, although not in the same way as his inebriated compatriot. "It would do you best to not instruct us how to deal with our problems," he spat. "Me and the Mrs. here were just having a little fun, weren't we, sugar?" He gave Leaf a not so friendly hard pat on the back. "So don't be a Vagik, alright?"

Why is everyone in this club so petching stupid? The hunter forced a smile, despite his bitter attitude. He was here for a good time, and no one, not even a couple outsiders, would be able to ruin it. He hoped.

[Inclement Weather] Bragging Rights (Leaf/Niro/Shadow)

Postby Leaf on September 19th, 2012, 6:38 am

Leaf was surprised, even in his current state, at the strength of will that the usual hothead displayed. His curiousity piqued, his ire irked, he decided it would be a good idea to make it a game to heckle the guy until he snapped and something exciting and fun happened.

While the Kelvic didn't seem to be making many friends with the current company, he didn't really care either. That other Inarta was quiet, unworthy of even the notice of a predatory glance, and the other outsider acted more like one of these gingers than that other did. But that was fine, for the gyrating and thumping bodies not four feet away had the possibility of drawing in even a shy Inarta.

Even when Niro took his drink, Leaf only smiled, like he was incredibly proud with himself. He would rather absorb the words between Niro and the other, but the comment about Inarta had him straightening, for he had found another opportunity to get at Niro.

"Hey, don't worry. Not all Inarta are as clipped as this shyke, so you might yet see a fight from someone else tonight as it is. Considering you are sober enough to realise what is happening." He addressed Niro now, a friendly clap to his shoulder accompanying the words. "What's the matter, Niro? Is my pretty face stopping you from acting like a real gentleman and showing that foreigner how real birds throw down?"

Some of his words were slurred together, as it seemed he was burying deeper into the pit of the stuff floating around through his blood. The Winger, the Funkus, and the assortment of booze made him increasingly brash.

He could get his face smashed in.

But it seemed like it would be so fun.

[Inclement Weather] Bragging Rights (Leaf/Niro/Shadow)

Postby Hess on September 21st, 2012, 5:49 pm

Well, Niro did show an impressive amount of self control, Hess thought, as the younger Inarta merely nicked the even more belligerent one’s drink as it arrived on the counter. But he continued to act like a twat, towards both of the others in their immediate little spot at the bar. The dark haired, hawk faced one, though, seemed well able to hold his own against the ginger haired tosser. He seemed to be going out of his way to provoke Niro, and was quite obviously inebriated with one or more substances. Hess considered for the briefest millisecond throwing in a word or two to try to diffuse the seeming acrimony of the situation. But, hey, who was he to try to thwart true love’s course? Maybe this was just some weird type of foreplay? The two of them seemed pretty bent.

With a desultory shake of his own fiery locks, Hess continued to sip at his drink, scanning the swaying crowd for something more interesting than two drunken mingers who really needed to just go get a room someplace.

[Inclement Weather] Bragging Rights (Leaf/Niro/Shadow)

Postby Shadow Nane on September 22nd, 2012, 3:03 am

Shadow didn't understand all to much about Inarta, but he knew enough to see the difference between good friendly taunting and violent fighting exchanges. These two were obviously about to fight, but Niro was trying his best to keep his calm. Hess was trying not to get involved and the other guy seemed to just be an instigator. Shadow didn't really care if they fought or not, but he felt he had to step in before they ruined a perfectly good party. Not that Shadow was that interested in that sort of thing, but the other Inarta were.

Despite the fact that Niro had refused the make-shift napkin Shadow had offered him and didn't seem to take his advice to heart, he pressed on to try to resolve the situation.
"I doubt you could call this a little fun," Shadow said with his usual tone of indifference. "I'd say you both had to much and were about to do cause a scene by having a crazy bar fight." Picking up his own drink, Shadow was about to take another sip when he remembered what Hess had said. Better not to end up like the two in front of him.

"I don't believe I got your name," Shadow continued, addressing Leaf and then shrugging. "If you two really want to cause a fight so bad why bother having it in a bar when you're both drunk and will probably just fall all over each other. I may be an outsider but I at least know all you humans, even Inarta, can do better than that." After doing his little "the voice of reason" thing, Shadow would grab at his drink and simply hold it as he tried to decide whether he'd get drunk if he took another sip.

[Inclement Weather] Bragging Rights (Leaf/Niro/Shadow)

Postby Niro on September 24th, 2012, 3:35 pm

Niro could feel his blood beginning to boil. Why did everyone have to be so petching annoying? Leaf was annoying. Shadow was even more annoying. Hess' indifferent was annoying. Niro was pissed off. As those around him spoke, he balled and unballed his fists. Leaf's words found an express line under his skin, and the purple haired stranger's words were just a hammer pounding on top of the irritation already there. He could feel his face flush, and although the exchange had been short, he'd reached his limit.

"All right. This is happening." He reached out for Leaf, trying to grab his tunic with his right hand, then delivering a punch with his left. "Shut. The. Petch. Up," he said, attempting to emphasize each word with another punch. His attacks were far from precise. The drinks running through his system and his limited experience in this situation were sure to highlight his amateur combat ability.

Yelling back at Shadow, Niro spat out words, venom in his voice. "You don't know petch about the Inarta. This is what we do! If you want to learn about it, watch and learn! If you want to solve problems with words, petch yourself and get out of here." He put his fists up, ready to re engage Leaf if he brought a retaliation.

[Inclement Weather] Bragging Rights (Leaf/Niro/Shadow)

Postby Leaf on October 4th, 2012, 1:05 am

For a few moments, Leaf felt only elation at his success. The ugly look of Niro's anger, the annoyance on Hess's face, and the excitement of the falcon not far away, had him singing his joy in his head even while his breath was punched out of his chest.

Wheezing but smiling, Leaf turned that glare he was so good at back on Niro and swung in return. He aimed for Niro's head but in his daze and stupor it ended up heading towards his chest. That first punch had taken an incredible toll on the Kelvic but he was soon fired up and ready to go at it with Niro. Others present seemed interested in the fight but attempts to break them up were halfhearted at this point. Even though Niro seemed intent to beat the petch out of Leaf, Leaf was interested in beating some sense into his thick skull, although the intent to 'test' him was on the side. He hadn't seen people this sharp tongued and strong fisted since he left Ravok and he was interested to see the extent of the similarities between Niro and those Larks and Lazarins back home.

"My name is Leaf," Leaf managed between getting punched and returning his own swings. He could take some amount of violence and even more with this feeling of invincibility raining down on him. It got to the point where Niro' s punches felt like getting smacked by a fistful of the softest feathers. Even as they fought, Leaf's high hit new heights. He could have sworn that Niro had purple skin and that there were feathers covering him where his hair and clothes were. Even when Leaf punched back, it felt like he was moving at the most sluggish pace and the sound of fist on flesh was as loud as an avalanche of rocks. He began to laugh with each blow that fell on him like some crazy person but he didn't let up. He liked this feeling. It felt like he was alive and young again at the beck and call of Elaine and trying some fancy new drug the Larks had dubbed 'in' for the season. It felt like the freedom after being hypnotised into a dull, flat pet that had to play nice when visitors came. This feeling was wonderful and if he wasn't stopped it probably would have ended in his death.

As it was, someone came in to break up the fight. A strong grip seized him by his arm and brutally pulled him and Niro away from the group. The pain from the gesture was sharp and felt like he was being stabbed.

"Sit here and take a breath or get the fuck out," the man that had jumped on Niro and Leaf said, pushing the two side by side against a wall. Leaf was breathing heavily and aches and pains were starting to come forward. Blood ran down his face from a split brow and lip, bruises were forming on his chest and knuckles, and for it all, he felt a lot worse than he probably looked. The pain distracted him from Niro and the others and he did as was told. Niro had done well enough, finally, and was pretty much ignored for those few moments while they caught their breath.

[Inclement Weather] Bragging Rights (Leaf/Niro/Shadow)

Postby Hess on October 8th, 2012, 2:18 am

Well…that was dumb as shit.

Hess had watched the two twats going at it hammer and tongs and he occasionally shot a bemused glance over to Shadow. Come to a bar for a fight and guess what? You’ll probably end up getting one. He finished off his drink, wondering if it really would be better to just get up and move. But the kerfuffle was over almost as soon as it began, with one of the club staff stepping over to break it up. With both combatants inebriated – mildly in Niro’s case and spectacularly in the other one’s – they seemed to cave pretty easily and at least the one who had introduced himself mid-fight as “Leaf” sat where he had been planted like a good boy. Hess cocked an eyebrow, motioned Tom, the bar tender, back over, and asked, “So, who’s ready for another round? Drinks, that is, not fists.” He looked at the panting pugilists, and added, “Shadow? Who won, do you think?”

[Inclement Weather] Bragging Rights (Leaf/Niro/Shadow)

Postby Shadow Nane on October 9th, 2012, 11:20 pm

It seemed that Shadow's attempts at peace had fallen on deaf ears, as he seemed to encourage Niro to fight. After performing a few swings at Niro, which were all sloppy in Shadow's best opinion, he heard Niro adress him in an angry drunken tone. It was then he knew that words wouldn't solve anything. Sitting quietly as Niro and Leaf, as he'd introduced himself, fought, Shadow tried to decide between breaking up the fight or letting them keep at it. Luckily, it didn't seem like Shadow would have to make that decision, for one of the bar staff suddenly showed up to break up the fight.

"Stupid humans," Shadow said as he poured his drink onto the ground. After that fight he didn't really feel like getting drunk and doing something stupid as well. Good thing too, since he was a drink away from being like Niro. "Well," Shadow continued, "human and non-human."

Saying this, he'd glance at Leaf before turning his attention to Niro. There was something about the way he smelt that had let him know he was abnormal. The scent was familar, despite how much the booze almost hid it. He smelled of the forest and...something else he couldn't quite put his finger on. If that weren't enough, there was the strange feeling he had ever since he'd spotted Leaf.

Niro was another story. He was pretty easy to read character who smelled just like any other human. Not one thing about him one unusual. Shadow was about to address him when Hess suddenly spoke in an attempt to lighten up the mood, though he personally didn't think it was appropriate.
"I wouldn't really say there were any winners," he answered, trying to sound impartial. "That man stopped the fight before anyone could go down, so I'd say it was a tie."

Shadow was about to end it like that when he realized that the two drunks might get the wrong idea. The last thing he wanted was a rematch. "I don't mean you should fight again to decide a winner," Shadow continued. "Surely you can think of a better way that doesn't involve you both being carried away by security."

[Inclement Weather] Bragging Rights (Leaf/Niro/Shadow)

Postby Niro on November 30th, 2012, 9:12 pm

oocTotally my fault that this died. I hope the other two come back, but we can continue this if you want, Leaf.

That was intense.

Niro stumbled back as Leaf's fist connected with his chest. Every time these two fought, that petching Leaf would hit him in the chest. It annoyed the shyke out of Niro. He should see it coming, but for some reason he just never did. Would he just have to accept a continual bruise? And that laughter was quite unnerving. Like a complete maniac Leaf was roaring with laughter as they traded blows. If Niro weren't intoxicated, he'd have been shaken up. That the gods for strong drinks. Regardless, this man's ass needed whooped. Niro reared back to deliver a punch that they would speak of in future generations. A blow which would be the stuff of legends. Leaf would be removed from existence and all of WR would admit Niro's greatness.

Too bad he would never have the chance. At least for this evening.

The considerably larger Inarta had moved Niro like a child's doll. Gods, how infuriating that was. Niro responded to the man's words by spitting at him. The crack of the man's fist against the side of the arrogant Avora's head tempered his defiance. Instead of fighting back, he took the opportunity to assess the damage to himself. His chest had red marks all over the place from where blow after blow had landed. He reached up and touched his lip gingerly, looking down at his finger to see the blood upon it. Leaf had certainly done a number on him.

So their brief fight was over. Niro was drunk. Leaf was more than drunk. Those other two were annoying and apparently allergic to fun. Almost waste of an evening. He glanced over to Leaf, a grin spreading across his face. "Not too bad, ma'am." He chuckled, laying his head back against the cavern wall. Oh how his head was spinning. Booze. Drugs. Multiple hard hits to the head. How many times had this happened. "So what the petch do we do now? Round two?"

oocI'm up for finishing it. :)

"How about we drink and get some women over here," Leaf said with a feral sort of grin. His head was ringing now as the effects of his drugs and the blows that vagik gave him took their toll. He felt dizzy and turned to the bar to order another round of drinks and drugs.

The other two in their party looked a tad bored and Leaf felt their company was lowering his chances of getting another girl behind those curtains. They seemed impervious to the idea of 'having a good time' and 'letting off some steam' and he didn't find himself caring over much. It was their loss.

Tom returned and deposited drinks and poppers for the group. Leaf took his quickly, too daft to realise he could be on his way to an excellent overdose. High was high, though. He wouldnt have cared.

Not one to let a good night get ruined and lacking his usual inhibitions, Leaf faced the dancing bodies again. He appraised the ones he could see, checking out the women and judging the men. When he looked along the bar, there was a group of chattering women there that he remembered seeing as he and Niro fought. Some guys, a few more girls, and then a drunk couple making out finished up the line up at the bar. Some of those girls looked really attractive. In his state, some looked even more than really attractive. They would do.

oocI just had the most awesomest idea. Mizahar Fight Club.
