Stretching northward along the coastline of the Suvan Sea, the Cobalt Mountains are the home of the Bronze Wood, numerous ruins, and creatures both strange and fantastical.

Winter 1, 512: Assignment Tent
Iskessah decided that it was about time she tested her skills and abilities away from the security of having the Ebonstryfe Army backing her up. As much as she dreaded the thought of risking her neck doing something on her own, she also knew that to be dependent on Rhysol's people forever would be a waste of the precious life Siku gave her. And so, she entered the tent, hoping the task she requested would not be too hard.
Choosing her words carefully, she addressed one of the humans who looked official enough to be assigning tasks. "I have heard that one loyal to Ravok can find work here. Sssomething I can do you that need help with?" |

Iskessah
"We need help with many things," the man Iskessah approached replied, somewhat sarcastically. But the sarcasm only lasted a moment, they really did need help with many things.
The man eyed the dhani for a moment before nodding and turning to dig through a box of papers. "You are Iskessah, right? The scout? I think we have something right up your alley, actually." The man finally found what he was looking for and laid it out on the table. It was a crude map of the city of Syliras, obviously old and out dated. He pointed to a particular spot on the map, marked with an X.
"According to our maps, there is an old drainage corridor here. As you can see, our maps are a little old, so we need someone to go and verify if it is still there, see if it's guarded, and see if it can be used to sneak into the city undetected. If it is guarded, try to find out what their schedules are, when the shift change happens, stuff like that. If you have time, you can look for any other hidden ways in as well and mark them on the map. ..oh, and if you can acquire us an up to date map of the city, that would be nice."
The man handed the map over to Iskessah, then with a nod of his head dismissed her and went back to whatever it was he had been doing before.

Iskessah returned late the same day, looking more frustrated than the bearer of good news. She threw the brand new map of Syliras down on the desk of the official, along with the old one she'd been given. That was the only objective she'd been able to successfully accomplish.
"The sscity iss a fortresssss. The drainage 'corridor' is a hole a rat would barely fit through. Ssso unlesss you plan to sssend a Kelvic to invade, that route isss ussselessss."
If asked, she would reveal that she had found no other entrances to the city other than the main gate, and was not optimistic about the existence of such secret passages. |
