Hawk	Weight: 2.5 lbs. Length: 20 inches. Wingspan: 54 inches. He is predominantly brown with a lot of speckling, and his feet are feathered to the toes. In flight, he flaps his wings as little as possible, usually with slow, deliberate, deep wing beats. He can hover on beating wings. His normal flying speed is from 20 to 40 mph. His diving speed can exceed 120 mph. His diet is mainly small mammals up to the size of a smallish dog, but he also eats birds and reptiles. He prefers arctic climates.
Human	Weight: 160 lbs. Height: 5' 8". Thirty-something. Muscular upper body. Strong, calloused hands and feet. Faded yellow-orange irises that often look gray, black pupils. Pinched nose with a slight hook at the end. Long, stringy blond hair that always looks unkempt. Typical attire is a white pullover shirt made of wool, light blue wool pants. When outside he adds a dark gray ankle-length wool cloak with hood and slits for hands to pass through, and brown leather high boots. The cloak has clasps at the neck and waist. He never wears underwear. In human form he may have a silver chain necklace around his neck.

CHARACTER CONCEPT


"Fierce Guardian"

As with all Kelvics, the primary drive in Jynx's life is the powerful deep-seated need to serve loyally and faithfully. In Jynx's case this manifests itself as the need to guard and protect. This is his only purpose in life and is where he finds his greatest happiness and fulfillment. In the absence of a bondmate, he tends to transfer this need to whomever is around him, usually women since the only bondmate he ever had was female. This can result in what might appear to be stalking behavior but is really just the urge to protect someone.

CHARACTER HISTORY

Jynx had one previous bond mate. She had treated him well and insisted that he become competent in the art of massage so that he would always have a profession to fall back on. She gave him his first massage kit. He was her protector, her confidant, and her lover. She was an archeologist with a knack for getting into dangerous situations, which taught him about being a bodyguard and ensuring her security. One day she came across four grave robbers plundering an ancient burial site. They killed her and buried her in a shallow grave. Jynx had stayed at home at her command. When she didn't returned by dark, he went after her and found her body. He then went after the four grave robbers, tracking each one down over the next few days and killing them. He mourned her death and then left the city in search of a new bond mate, vowing never to fail a bond mate again.
