Tourmal, Spring 18, 494 AV The morning was a beautiful one, the birds sang their lively melodies, the bees buzzed from one flower to the next. All of this completely escaped Tourmal “Shyke! Not again!” he yelled while he got ready for the day. Tourmal had just left home not more than a season ago and, had just acquired a job at a small jeweler where he worked in the back rooms making jewelry. He had figured it would be an easy decent paying job with his father having taught him after his apprenticeship in weaponsmithing fell through. Though shortly after starting realized that his father had done a lot more work than he had let on. Tourmal had slept in again after going out on a ride with Aurus the night before. Aurus being the only friend that he had, the two spent a lot of time together. They frequently took long rides to pass the time, not knowing what else to do. The entire event lasted well into the night, when he returned Aurus to the stables. Then walked home. Tourmal had started off the day poorly, his legs feeling like they were burning from the inside, on top of that he had misplaced his shirt the night before carelessly discarding it somewhere inside his one room apartment. “Petching shirt, where are you! AAAGH!” the man yelled After searching for it for about thirty chimes he found it wedged between his bed and the wall. It was as wrinkled as one would expect it to be after the night it had. Tourmal visited the baths after work the day before. But due to his night ride with Aurus he had worked up a heavy sweat trying to keep himself hovering above the horse while matching the steeds gate. The task was considerably harder than he was capable of. He only lasted short lengths before his legs gave out, dropping his wait on the horses back. He felt it break his horses momentum slightly as he did so. Tourmal felt bad afterwards not being able to present himself as a rider of sufficient skill. As he drew his shirt over his head he had smelled the evidence of his previous nights ride and his face cringed at the odor. Unfortunately he had no time to give it a wash he was already late and had not time to spare. |
