Danger Finally Realized

Shortly after the slaver let go of her and after the shock she went through was over, the girl started calming slowly, her crying turned into soft sobbing and only the shadow of the fear she felt, stayed, torturing her mind. She was realising that she was safe now. Knowing how unstable she becomes when in these kind of situations, the girl tried to breathe and calm herself down. After a secound, the voice of the woman who saved her, said loudly.

"Mistress, mistress, you're well!"

Buni knew it was only for the passing them people and soon heard the girl hiss at her while pulling her up.

"Get up, and get yourself together! That vagik might change his mind. "

The girl bit into her lip, breathing slowly. She knew she was acting more like a little girl than like a mature person but this whole thing seemed too familiar for her rather fragile mind and she just couldn't stop herself from tearing up. But still, to make the woman who saved her, angry, was the last thing Buni wanted to do. So she tried her best to actually get herself together, her sobbing slowly faded but still, no matter how hard she tried, the girl couldn't stop the shivering. She felt the womans hands, pulling her dress on place and whimpered slightly as she felt the her fingers slide over one of the deeper scratches left on her thin, delicate skin by the slavers nails. Buni squeezed her eyes shut, ignoring the other people around her, concentrating over her own breathing, trying to stop her body from trembling, not noticing the walking towards them orange haired girl.

Danger Finally Realized

Postby Keyta on September 16th, 2012, 9:57 pm

Keyta noticed as she approached the two woman, she noticed the original was still crying with a strong attempt to hide while the other wasn't completely happy looking that she had come. Keyta did her best to look innocent and bow to thank this new woman for saving the other, and smiled as she arose once more. Her honey colored eyes scanned the two women, obsering their clothing, finding the newer one wearing odd clothes to begin with, and sad when she found the others' clothes were ruined like her own. The little kelvic felt bad so in an attempt to appologize she grabbed the girl's hand whom she had giving fruit to earlier, and took her hands to her forehand, bowing slightly, and closing her eyes. With her head arising once more, she looked over her shoulder to notice the sun kissing the buildings behind them. With the sun hitting them right, her hair slowly began to glow from the light, making her slightly uneasy, and trying to urge the three of them to move else-where. She started pulling on the arm that she still had and tried to pull her toward the back of the nearby buildings, looking over her shoulder and back to the woman. Her efforts barely did anything however due to her lack of weight and size.

OOCSorry for how long that took, got super busy recently, and then I'm also sorry for the really lame and short post

Danger Finally Realized

The girl whimpered and cringed as Velvet fixed her clothing to make her at least appear decent in the streets. The slave knew she should comfort her or something to keep her from drawing attention, but she had no idea how! She had no experience with comforting anybody, and couldn't even remember the last time someone had shown her any compassion. How was she supposed to know what to do? With an annoyed sigh, Velvet just settled for getting the girl's clothes in order before turning her attention back to the strange Kelvic that was coming closer by the tick.

The orange-haired girl approached the two and did the absolute last thing that Velvet expected. She bowed to her! For a moment, the slave thought the bow had been intended for the girl cowering beside her. It must have been for her, though; the Kelvic had smiled right at her! Trying to hide her bewildered expression, Velvet watched as the Kelvic made some sort of gesture at the other girl. Why wasn't she speaking? In a populated street, muttering and whispering were completely safe. Was there some reason why she would avoid speaking? The Kelvic, apparently for little reason, suddenly began ushering Velvet and the waifish girl somewhere that she couldn't quite pinpoint. On impulse, the slave decided to obey and started to follow after her. Velvet tried to wrap an arm around the still-fearful girl's shoulders and help her along. The gesture was not soft or comforting, as one might well expect in the situation. It was a tense thing designed for leading someone; the slave had never felt the comforting presence that most would see that Bunielle obviously needed, and thus had no idea how to offer it.

As they went, Velvet admired the Kelvic's pretty hair. It was orange, yet seemed natural on her body despite the strange color. In the reddish light of sunset, it shone almost with a light of its own.

Danger Finally Realized

Postby Keyta on September 20th, 2012, 1:31 am

Keyta wasn't quite sure why the newer girl was following after if when it seemed obvious to the kelvic that she did not trust her. From the face she made while Keyta approached the the new face she made when the kelvic did catch up. Not trying to make the circumstance more awkward, she kept looking forward, trying to get the three of them over to the alleyway, someplace they wouldn't just simply be out in the crowd. Keyta would never admit it, especially after what had just occured, but being the center of attention in that large of a crowd was over whelming to her, almost made her break down right there. She couldn't put it into word but she knew what she had done was the right thing and she was not done. Deep in her mind, the kelvic was already planning on a return to the slaver, an attempt to free all of those brave kelvics, and bring justice to them.

Several steps past and the alley's shade was finally kissing Keyta's cheek, tempting the bat to just run into the darkness, hiding from everyone else. She managed to hold back this temptation however as she turned around and thanked the two for following by a simple nod of her head. Not sure how to thank the two, Keyta reached into her bag and pulled out the last two oranged she had. She looked at them for a moment, her favorite fruit and the last two until she looks for more, it was almost saddening. Keeping herself from pulling them back, she thrust them forward and looked away from them, hoping they would accept them and move them away from her sight.

Danger Finally Realized

Postby Keyta on January 29th, 2013, 5:08 pm

OOCI've waited probably longer than I should have for either of you to post again, so unfortunately I am finishing it without either of you.

39th Night of Fall,

The thought of the other kelvic children that helped her ran through the young girl's mind, they had all helped her, yet they were at the highest risk. The night brought a soft breeze and several clouds offering very little light. The girl had climbed to the top of one of the buildings where she had been taking refuge most of the day and stripped her clothes. Her pale skin still hid well against the dark walls of the city, so she packed her clothing into her bag, and left it on the corner of the roof. Keyta leaped from the building, quickly shifting into her bat self, allowing her the fastest movement over the city to the location she was at earlier that day. Her hopes where high, trying to find the children and perhaps free them from the man that only wished to cause trouble. Upon arriving, she could see where several tiny feet had all gathered to a wagon and that wagon left a fine set of tracks to follow in the dirt. Taking flight again, she followed the path to where it was heading, leading out of the city, and to a small camp sight where the embers of where a fire once was marked them easily from above. Keyta descended and changed to her human form, hiding against a tree to better see the camp. The camp had nothing coming from it, no sound, mo movement, meaning everyone was asleep. Taking her opportunity, she ran for the camp and started looking for the cages. The put her hands on the bars to look inside, there were all of the children she had so happily come for. As quickly and quietly as she could, Keyta opened the cage and climbed inside to try and wake at least one of them up. She shook the boy closest to her, the one that had offered Keyta to eat with them, and she placed her hands on his bare body. She shook him softly, then a little harder, confused as to how he could sleep so heavily, but when she took her hands off of him, her hands felt wet. With the little ammount of light, Keyta could quite see what it was, but she decided to smell it, perhaps water, but she discovered an, unfortunately, familiar scent, blood. Keyta grew frantic, she started toward all of them, their eyes opened and lifeless, bodies limp and cold, hearts were still. The little girl didn't know what to do, all of them died because she tried to offer them food. Anger quickly filled her heart and told her what to do, she left the cage and started toward the tent. She entered and found the lone slaver inside, sleeping with heavy breaths, occasionally moaning something. She approached him and found his bag, inside was a knife that shared the scent of the blood from the kelvic children. Keyta took the knife, turned it toward the man, and with a solid thrust, plunged it into the man's chest. The man coughed and eyes opened as she started moving frantically, so Keyta removed the knife and thrust it again, repeating the motion several dozen times. Blood covered the tent, covered the slaver, also, cover the girl's body. Keyta left the knife sticking out of the man's chest and started backing away, she knew what she had just done, but she couldn't believe she had done it. Trying to get out, she tripped over the dead man's bag, so she grabbed it, and ran with it back out into the city. Carefully she avoided everyone she could, and upon reaching her hiding place again, she tossed the bag over like she would her own, and flew back up as her bat self and just sat up on top. She allowed the thoughts to flood her mind, trying to understand what she had just done, and slowly, began to fall asleep. The thought to herself she would check the bag tomorrow to see if there was anything worth taking.

Notes: Well, sucks that the thread had to be cut short. I did want to point out one thing in your last post, Keyta. You seemed to have forgotten that Ravok is a city on the middle of the lake. The slaver would likely be staying in the slave market, and even if he was camping (highly unlikely), it takes 3-4 hours by boat to reach the shore.. so I don't know how long it would take a bat, but yeah. Anyway, it's just a detail I wanted to point out. The rest of the thread was good, unfortunate the others stopped posting. Anyway, enjoy your reward, and keep writing!
