"It's obvious you are young and naive and I can't fault that. I was born into society where eating people is considered normal, even acceptable." looking around again she glanced down at herself, and her eyes shot up, "Where are my previous clothes and did you really undress me!" Sometimes Lireal could be patient, even understanding, but it had been a long day and she couldn't care less about any excuses, she just didn't like being so exposed to anyone -- truth be told she had never bed anyone, human or Zith, she just couldn't seem to find the one who got over her quirks.

"I doubt a healer would willingly heal me, in fact if I even step into a temple, I'm liable to shot point blank when I reveal whom I am." laughing snidely she added, "You need to think again human, you may even have to go to more dangerous places to get someone to heal me."

Zith were hated, a wounded Zith whether a half-breed or not, would still be hated and likely have people try to kill her.

Perhaps it would have been better she had died.

"What? Well, yes, it was the only way to properly bandage your body. I still have your old clothes in the cabin, though they're so torn up they're pretty much useless." Kirvan could understand her concern, but he had done it all very clinically, having grown up in a society where it was acceptable to where nothing, though few did. He was more concerned about how she got so many wounds. "The gashes and cuts are all over your body, who did this to you and why?"

Again, Kirvan's curiosity grew when he heard her explain why shouldn't got to the temple. A person that healers wouldn't heal? Just who was she? "Regardless, we need to find someone who can take care of you better than I can, I'm not good enough at this to be able to see you to a full recovery. You at least need a couple splints for your arm and leg, otherwise I don't know what'll happen."

Looking up at him almost emotionless she replied, "My clan did this human. My brothers did this..." turning her face away she looked down at herself, she had to admit her brothers were thorough, if she hadn't been saved she would have died. It made her realize and wonder if she could ever feel safe again or would everyone just try to kill her.

"I know human, but I must be allowed time to heal. I don't know what to do." looking at him she continued, "Perhaps be better for you let me die. I don't know human, I don't know."

It would make more sense if he left her, that would make sense and actually help her understand.

Left for Dead - Small Cove

This was a strange situation Kirvan found himself in. He may have just saved the life of someone who badly needed help, but now she was saying there was no one who would help her. Her own family didn't want her, tried to kill her, and those who weren't her family would judge based on what hr family had done and refuse. It sounded as if he was the only one who would help her, which he sincerely hoped wasn't true. The casinor was not built for two, and he simply was not trained enough to provide the necessary aid.

Deep in his own thoughts, Kirvan was pulled violently from them when she suggested leaving her to die. "I don't know what to do, but you should never think your life is pointless. There's something in this world you can do, whether it be serve a god or help protect those who need it. Everyone has a role they can play, at least one, so don't dismiss yourself just yet." He thought a bit more, wondering what to do. "How about this. I'll take you back to Syliras and try to find someone who will heal you. If I can't I'll buy the supplies and do it myself, maybe finding someone to teach me with a bit of luck. How does that sound?"

Looking up into the darkening sky, Kirvan wondered what mess he'd gotten himself in as Syna retired for the day and Leth arrived to take over for the night. "I suppose if we're going to be spending the next few days in the same boat, we should at least try to learn a bit more about each other. I'm Kirvan from the Deepseeker pod, though I haven't been with those guys for a while. You still haven't told me what you are exactly that everyone would fear you so much."

Laughing at his idealism she had to admit though it was naive and most likely stupid she really had to admit it was admirable quality, "Human, you are smart don't get me wrong, but the amount of trouble could cause you by just being with you is something you couldn't comprehend." Looking wistfully out at the ocean she whispered just loud enough for him to hear, "Besides with family dead and the other wishing me dead, where do I belong?" with that she broke down and began to cry, even though she was monstrous her crying could have been confused for a lonely teen girl rather than some cannibalistic demon.

Hearing him continue she replied still crying developing a hiccough, "Lireal... I have no second name, I have no family name... I did once have a second name... I felt like once I belonged, now I have neither and their blood is on my hands... not by actions... not by anything..."

Turning away she didn't finish and starting curled up wincing and straining with pain, but not caring anymore, her sword falling on the deck.

He looked at this woman and wondered what exactly her life had been like before... before this. No family, and all who remained wanted her dead. What had happened? What had she done that warranted such hatred? "Maybe I can't comprehend it, but does that really matter? I don't know you well enough to say whether you're a bad person or not, but even if I did I'm not one to judge. Everyone has a place in life, you just need to find yours."

Her tears seemed a little out of place with the fierce and indignant lady from before who desired her sword so badly and was shocked that he had taken her clothes off to treat her. When the sword hit the deck, he wasted no time in walking over and picking it up, re-wrapping the blade in the torn sail. "First order of business on your part is to stop moving so much. If you like, you can take my bed, but the less you move the smoother your recovery will be. Second is to find some medical supplies, which can probably be done in Syliras. I don't have much money, but hopefully I have enough to buy a couple splints and at least dull the pain."

Finishing his packaging of the sword, he leaned it against the side of the boat, near Lireal in case she would like it again. He saw how much the sword meant to her, and wondered who had made it that she cared so dearly for it. "Whose blood is on your hands? What kind of people is your clan that they would beat you so thoroughly instead of outright kill you?"

She laughed again her teeth showing but not minding as much, "I'm not a bad person and despite many facts I won't eat you." still though with tears in her eyes she stood and hobbled over, before leaning into his ear, "Why eat someone so handsome." blushing a little she went back down to her place, wincing, crying, shaking and stumbling but managing to get there.

Returning to her morose self, she still blushed a little before adding, "Medical supplies aren't totally necessary. If I must take money out your pocket, I have here 80 Gold Mizas." handing her money over, she remembered stupidly they were in her old clothes, "take them from there." pointing towards the cabin she held a scream back when she moved her arm.

"My clan are cannibals, I refused... My family... I failed."

With that she clammed up and began to cry again

Helping her up, Kirvan blushed a little at her remark as he eased her back to the deck, wondering why she got up just to say that. It made his mind wander back to two years ago, back when the last woman had been on his boat and called him handsome and slept in his cabin. That was a long time ago, but his mind couldn't quite leave Leisa...

Looking back as she gestured, he realized that he hadn't checked for anything of value within and was glad that he ignored his first instinct which was to toss them over into the cove. When he turned back and heard her explanation, he was surprised that she was breaking down in tears again. Perhaps now wasn't the best time to breach the subject.

Kirvan walked over to the edge of the boat, resting a hand on Lireal's shoulder. "You should get some rest, I doubt you're in any condition to do much more. Here, I'll help you over to the bed." Linking her arm over his shoulders, he gently brought her up and began walking her to the cabin, already thinking of what he was going to do with her and wondering who might help.

Nodding she stumbled, winced, screamed a little, she knew her eyes were watering, but she would make this. Placing herself more on his shoulder she continued to bite her lip and scream in her head. The wood on her bare feet was rough yet sort of warming. Her saviour the human seemed to be managing to hold her well enough.

After much pain she fell on the bed and sighed in such relief, smiling at him, "I feel so bad for using your bed, I don't mind if we share."

If this was her Knight in shining armour she was going to get as much as she could.

Looking at him expectantly she waited while relaxing in the warm and cushiony mattress.

Despite Lireal being mostly silent, he could feel the tension in her body whenever she felt pain. Every time he felt her tense , Kirvan himself winced a little. This all because he didn't know how to properly administer aid and his lack of supplies. Perhaps he should take lessons, get some training. With all that Kirvan planned to do, it may come in handy.

Softly easing Lireal into the bed, he left her briefly to bring her the sword, leaning it against the trunk in case she wanted to make sure it was there. When she looked so relieved and calm, he couldn't help but smile. "It's no trouble, and don't worry, we won't need to share. I'll set us off for Syliras now, and since I'll need to be awake to sail I won't be sleeping for a bit. The bed's all yours for tonight."

He was about to leave but stopped at the cabin exit, feeling a pang of remembrance and a hint of sadness. Images and events flooded his mind, but he was able to rise above them and turn back to face his guest. "I'll be about the ship all night, so if you need anything let me know. I have a waterskin if you would like, but first I think it's most important for you to get some rest. Good night, Leisa."

With that, he left the cabin, unaware that he'd just let slip part of his past.
