Vanator plunged the dining knife into the hunk of pot roast on his plate and lifted it up to tear a piece off with his teeth. He glanced over at Kashik and grinned wide-eyed at her as she shoved a whole roll into her mouth, then mumbled around it. "You are all class Brightsmile!" He jibed, catching a dribble of meat juice running down his chin with his hand. "Hunting is not my area of expertise by any means, darling. But outside of the main pavilion, I have to provide for my own needs, and coin was getting short. I can sell what I manage to hit with an arrow, or behead with my ax, to the leather workers and butchers in town. In fact, I've sold game meat to this tavern." Setting the meat down, Van picked up a few slices of cooked tubers that had been heavily peppered and popped them in his mouth. He washed them down with a long swig of mead from his tankard. Seeing a piece of garlic roll clinging to the corner of Kashik's mouth, he leaned over and pulled it off with his lips and ate it, then kissed the corner of her mouth. "There, I tried some of your roll." He squirmed closer to her, so that their thighs touched. He laughed, nudging her with his shoulder. "What purpose do you serve at the Brightsmile pavilon?" He muttered as he tore off another chunk of meat. |
