For all his talents, Sama'el was slow to pick up on things like this. Things said in the past months suddenly crowded into his mind, wagging admonishing fingers at him as if to ask how he could possibly have missed this staring at him all this time. But what could he do? Now Leto was a part of his life, and he had him here where they could share truth and time. Tired as he was, there was a giddy energy singing through him, but he pulled back to smile down at Leto, his fingertips hanging onto the older man's belt buckle still. "I don't know the glyph for love," he said quietly, his voice a husky version of itself Leto had never heard before. But all the same, his hand came up to trace a stylized sun over Leto's heart, the bulk of it within that triangular windmark, but its invisible rays breaking free of that visible cage. Though he didn't know the meanings of all Leto's windmarks, that triangle seemed a cage for his heart, or a cistern to keep his love contained. Sama'el would explode that structure of control. "I love you, Leto Sunsinger," he murmured, lips brushing the delicate shell of the summoner's ear. His leg slung over Leto's, his strong, wiry arm wrapping him up and holding him close. The kiss that came next was greedy for Leto's breath, and if it left him dizzy, well, they were jumping off a cliff together, hand in hand. |
