A standout location in the Sea of Grass, the Wanah'ite is a place of mystery, uncertainty, and danger. It's name is the Pavi word for quiet. Eerily beautiful, this haunting copse looks to be constantly in a state of dying, yet is unchanging season to season. Small bushes with edible blackberries dot the forest floor sparsely, with fresh water and various game animals making the area their home. Despite its dark appearance, the grove should be a place of decent use to those trying to survive, yet experiences have shown otherwise.
Discovered shortly after the Djed Storm of 512, this small forested area quickly gained a reputation as one to avoid. Sure, there are roaming packs of animals, venomous snakes, and even the occasional monster. Stories of those who returned from the location suggest there is something more. Too many dangers would happen too quickly for it to be a coincidence, but none could put a finger on just what was going on. All accounts of Wanah'ite shared one feature: It felt like the forest was watching, no matter what they did.
Said to be in the center of the grove is an old watch tower, still standing strong after an untold number of seasons. Some explorers have suggested something of value lies within the ancient tower, waiting to be claimed by someone either brave or foolish enough to traverse the grove in search for it. Others claim this to be false, the tower only serving to draw those people into their doom. Regardless of these stories' truth, going in fully prepared is a must or the danger is sure to overwhelm. However, even prepared parties have gone in never to reappear.
