[Cedar Amphitheater] Making Amends (Aidara)

Though Kovac had orchestrated their current position, Aidara on his lap, legs warpped around his hips as they faced each other, and had set fire to another passionate kiss, it was Aidara who stole the initiative. From the hot oral embrace, the woman employed her plush lips to leave a moist trail of kisses along his jaw and down his neck. Kovac inhaled deeply as Addy's small fingers gripped his hair in an insistent pull backwards, exposing his olive-hued neck. Kovac opened himself to the woman, his hands moving to rest on the stone floor behind him as he leaned back on his arms. Never the shy one, the Endal still surprised the Avora as her descending hand wrapped around him. Kovac released an audible hiss of excitement as she could feel the man reaching his fullness in her firm grasp.

Almond-shaped eyes slid shut as Addy manipulated her friend, forcing Kovac's breathing to come in ragged pants, punctuated with guttural grunts and low hums as her squeezes and twists turned to steady pistoning. The Inartan's active ministrations created a growing tightness in Kovac's core, building up at his base. When Aidara suddenly released her grip, there was a sigh of both relief and anguish as the pressure waned.

The mongrel did not have to wait long, for his lusty companion slammed him against the hard floor, wracking his body and nearly knocking the breath from him. But Kovac's body was pumped full of adrenaline, and his own desires so consuming that the impact barely dented his driving attention to the beautiful woman that straddled him. With a deft wiggle of her body, and guided by Kovac's hands as they laid hold of her hips, Addy found what she desired and sank onto the archer. Kovac, unable to restrain a loud moan, raised his hips to meet Addy as his hands pulled her down onto him by her waist. By the time he rested again to the floor, the healer had him in his entirety.

Unable to keep still, Kovac writhed beneath Aidara, striving for even more depth. The greedy hands of the Avora strayed from the ivory-skinned woman's hips up her torso, slowing as they slid over the contours of her breasts to travel upward. Parting the veil of her mane, Kovac entwined his fingers again in her hair, pulling her head close to his face. Labored words slipped out between low grunts. "Petch yes Addy." His mouth found hers again, parted lips pressed to her open mouth, tongue hunting desperately for hers. His writhing turned to needy bucking against the slight weight of the gorgeous Endal. It was euphoric, the arousal not only fueled by the beauty of his friend, or by the carnal enjoyment of her desirable body. There was great joy and excitement that the woman with whom he was sharing this incredibly sensual moment was Aidara herself. Raw primal lust was entangled with emotional satisfaction, perfecting the sexual union, and driving Kovac with the need to enjoy Aidara, experience her, consume her in every way.

Lusty. Dramatic. Passionate. Spontaneous. Of all the words used to describe Aidara, ‘cruel’ was not among them. A tease more often than not, Addy nonetheless indulged in whatever suited her best, whoever suited her best. It wasn’t surprising that things had escalated so quickly with Kovac. They had yearned for each other since the first time their eyes met, Addy barely comfortable in her own skin and hiding behind her sister, Kovac with a sardonic grin and a sarcastic jab ready on the tip of her tongue. Oh, how they had both grown.

Smiling wickedly when the Avora moaned her name, the fiery redhead traded the heated kiss for a tick or two before pulling away, straining against the tight hold he had on her hair so that she could sit up straight once more, her back arched and her head pulled back savagely by his restraining hand. Sweat coated them both, a heavy drop trickling down between her breasts as she continued to buck her hips, small hands gripping the taut muscles of Kovac’s thighs to keep her balance. It was pure, animalistic rutting, both trying desperately to fulfill their needs with what they had desired for so long.

It was when her breath started to come in gasps that Addy slowed the rapid grinding and gyrating of their bodies, her chest heaving with the effort that they were putting into taking each other. Having positioned herself on top with purpose, Addy was in control; there was little Kovac could do when her hips slowed and started moving in purposeful, languid movements so slow and steady that it was as if she was measuring out every contraction of her muscles before she exerted the energy. The end was building inside her with an equally excruciating slow intensity and it was as if Addy was beckoning it forward with the leisurely flicks of her hips.

Green eyes slid closed, a desperate sort of moan escaping from deep within her throat when climax hit, her head falling back and giving into Kovac’s pull on her hair even while the fingers that clenched his upper thighs clawed and dug into the sensitive flesh there. While her upper body melted, her hips and legs clamped in place until the passion passed. Though normally just as willing to please her partner the little Inartan didn’t seem to care whether Kovac had reached his own end; Addy slithered down into a puddle on the rough stone next to him once hers was finished, a self satisfied smile curling her lips and bringing dimples into her brightly flushed cheeks.

“Well that was good.” A throaty purr, and Addy stretched before standing to gather her clothes, the way she turned away from the Avora she had just ridden like a pony almost cold and uncaring. No words passed between them unless it was Kovac that made the initiative.

Everything had gone so great, and they got exactly what they both wanted… or had they?

As the ardent kiss broke, the Inarta and half-breed had found a rhythm, a steady pounding as Addy gripped his legs for better purchase. Aidara exploited the strong cadence of their effort, and her position, to take Kovac fully as she ascended and descended over him again and again. The Avora still clutched her long auburn mane in his hand, forcing her head back just enough to expose her soft throat. But Addy was the one who was truly in control, and as the man's breath grew more shallow and ragged, the bucking of his hips more desperate, the woman slowed to a torturous, grinding gyration that seemed to grip him spasmodically.

Kovac's head began to swim with the euphoria, and his free hand lifted to to swipe a finger across the bead of sweat that trickled between her pert breasts. The leisurely rotation of Addy's hips nearly drove the mongrel mad, and his groans became deeper and more uncontrolled. Tightness gathered at his core, and as he saw his friend begin to lose herself to an ecstatic culmination, Kovac could hold back no longer. His hand untangled from her hair, and his hands gripped her thighs, even as her nails dug into his with a tantalizing pain.

With unexpected strength, the muscles of Aidara's thighs and those that gripped him contracted, holding him tight as he released, a loud moan escaping from behind a bit lip as he twitched and spasmed inside of her and writhed beneath the petite woman's weight until he had no more. Finally, Addy rolled off of him as he lay panting, every nerve in his body tingling.
Languid emerald eyes turned to meet his friend's, a boyish grin reflected back at her dimpled smile. He watched in profound appreciation as she stood, her sweat-slick lithe form stretching like a forest cat.

“Well that was good.”

Kovac rolled onto his side, his elbow resting on the stone floor and his head setting on his hand. A subtle frown crossed his face as she gathered her clothes, without further elaboration, or even a glance over her shoulder.

"It was just....good?"

“Yep. Good.”

The chimes past and Add finished dressing, moving to stand on the edge and look out at the sky that had fallen well into Leth’s control while they had played, her hands crossed over her chest and her bare foot tapping a staccato on the rough stone; her boots were still somewhere in the mess of Kovacs clothes, and the fact that she hadn’t tried to retrieve them so that she could leave said a lot, even if she was silent.

That didn’t last for long though. Addy didn’t play the whole “I’ll stay mad while you flounder and try to figure it out for yourself” thing very well. Nearly bursting at the seams, still panting from their ‘exercise’, the woman rounded on Kovac where he lay, her chest heaving and her arms dropping so her fists could clench at her sides.

“You think this is what I want!” It wasn’t even a question, her voice a low growl that somehow seemed much worse than if she had just let go and screamed at him. The control she had over her emotions did not bode well; it only meant a bigger explosion later, when she could no longer keep a grip on it all. “You think that I just wanted a roll about in the furs and everything would be bright and shiny? NO!”

Angrily raking her fingers through her hair, Addy pushed the long locks from her face so that the sharp flashing in her eyes wouldn’t be obscured. Kovac was pinned in his place by her glare, only metaphorically, though it was obvious that should he try to squirm from under it, things would get much, much worse.

“I have done nothing but pant over you for Seasons upon Seasons. I nearly got my ass beat for you. I was shunned for you. I had to deal with bitchy Endal women for you. All for you. Just to be around you, let alone petch you.” She said the word with a note of disgust, as if she were trying to clear her throat. That tiny body quivered as if cold, though the temperature of their secluded place had nothing to do with it.

“You make me go through all of that, just to wait until the obstacle is gone and have your way with me? Now, all this while, I was waiting for the next piece of the puzzle. The next step of the game. And it never came. You got your jollies. You’re good.” Narrowing her eyes at him, Addy turned and crossed her arms over her chest again, falling silent and watching the landscape once more.

Kovac reclined on the stone floor. It was not terribly comfortable, but the Avora languished in the deep state of relaxation sex set upon his muscles, and he was fine watching Addy dress from where he was. Still, the mongrel new his friend well enough to know the emphatic tugging she employed to don her clothes showed irritation, and he was pretty sure the Inartan was not mad at her garments. Neither did the posture she assumed as she glared out of the breach in the mountainside hide her emotions. She was annoyed.

What did he do now? Did he not last long enough? Did he not do something the way she liked it? Addy was driving, Kovac would have done anything she wanted. Maybe that was it, maybe he should have seized control, did the things he had been waiting so long to do.

Well, the half-breed did not need to muse much longer. The fiery little Inartan turned on him in a flash of anger, measured out at him with a taut leash, growled through her teeth with disdain at the man she had just laid with. Green eyes, lit with hot emotion, warned the Avora that he was best served by sitting still and baring himself to the assault.

But as Aidara ranted, unleashed her complaint, his failure to romance her, to show her a little bit of a good time before they had their...good time. Though Kovac sat still beneath her tirade...his ire brewed into a seething annoyance. Once the healer's tongue lasing was spent, and she turned on her heels to once again stare out over the deepening darkness, Kovac vaulted to his feet, still disrobed and unconcerned by it.

"Why you...you unreasonable, infuriating, impossible woman! You stand there and accuse me of using you, of disregarding everything between us just to get my stones off? You hypocrite! You jumped me! I brought you up here, prepared to spend time with you, eating, listening to music..." He could feel the veins in his head bulge. He was furious, which was saying something. If he didn't care for Addy, he would simply have brushed her complaints off and went on his way. But he had something vested in her, and for Addy to accuse Kovac of thinking so little of her, not only made him mad, it hurt. He was not good at expressing hurt.

"You think all this time I just wanted to squeeze between your thighs? Petch yes I did! Like a rashkari I wanted to. But you are more than a wet hole to me Addy. You are a friend, someone I want to spend time with, to enjoy that maddening tension with, that thing between us that you know was there...and still is...or you would not be so mad."

A year ago, Kovac would have slithered away, ego bruised and prideful, to sulk in a bottle. But after the storm, everything seemed to have changed for him and Wind Reach. The hunter would not so easily be discouraged from something he wanted.

Taking a few steps toward Addy, her back still turned towards him, he spoke again, his tone softer, but equally firm. "no, I am not good, and things are not alright with me. Petching you was not the end game, Addy. True, it was something we built up in our minds to some glorious event that we may have fallen into too quickly. I don't regret it, but it is not the goal I seek. You are more than that to me, though admittedly...I would do it again..and again, and I hope to. But I want the chance to be with you like we couldn't before. You are right, it has been a long time coming, and there had been risks. But Shyath is gone, Sira is understanding, and I am not the same Kovac that left for Water Reach. So don't pull this on me...give me a petching chance."

For how intensely she seemed to be focusing on the warm, fiery colors of the dying sunset, Addy hardly saw any of it. Emotion blinded her. Her shoulders were set in a defiant hunch, arms snaking over her chest to clamp tightly and protectively down over her heart; Kovac would have to pry his way back in there, for it wasn’t going to be easy to get the little woman to loosen her hold on it now.

There was silence for a bit, each quiet tick only further justifying her outburst. Kovac had nothing to say, no defense. She was right, she called him out on it, and he would only look foolish to protest. The smile that curled the corners of her lips was sad and slightly scornful, her eyes sliding slowly closed as she prepared herself to turn and face the man she had just kicked down, unsure of what was going to come out of her mouth next when she did.

But then he spoke, and Addy immediately felt the hairs on the back of her neck and arms bristle in indignation. How dare he! She was a woman scorned and he was taking her moment from her, making the strong words she had viciously thrown at him worth less than nothing with the anger that coated his words. He was mad at her?!

Retorts leapt to her lips, so many at once that when the little woman spun back to fact Kovac, her hands clenched in fists at her sides, fingers so tightly curled that her knuckle stood out stark white from the rest of her flushed skin, Addy couldn’t even get a single word out. Each response was nastier than the last, but since they all fought to reach her lips first, the little healer ended up choking on her own words. Though she hadn’t realized it, Kovac actually pressing back against her emotional assault was the last thing she had been expecting, but it was the truth of his words that shook her the most.

It was a good thing her words failed her, for in the ticks left silent while Kovac took a breath, the Avora was able to add a softer addendum to his words, giving Addy another moment or two to process what happened. He was closer now, so much so that if she unfurled her fingers and cocked her wrist, she could touch his hip. But she didn’t. “You played with me.” Those few words were given softly, grudgingly, as Addy half lowered her lids so that she could glare at Kovac from behind the comforting veil of her lashes. “Whether or not I made the first move tonight, you played with me for far longer than I think you’d care to admit.”

Nothing was going to drag the truth out of her, that this silly little hunter made Addy feel like a teenager again, unable to say no when the object she so desired was at hand. Neither would she say that nothing was guaranteed, including his availability or his presence. He could disappear at the drop of a hat… again. “You exhaust me.” A partial truth, at least, as the little woman let her shoulders slump and the stiff fists at her sides relax. “A normal conversation can’t even just be a normal conversation. You rile me. It’s almost on purpose.”

It was unclear weather or not Addy was intentionally avoiding Kovac’s accusations or not, but her bitter smile had begun to take on a bit more warmth. His words still stung, and he could see that in the persisting flush that bathed her cheeks and chest a deep crimson, but she had at least accepted the truth of them in part, at least. “I guess some of it is my fault too.” The lidded glare turned into a rather sleepy look, and Addy sighed, one shoulder lifting in a half shrug. “’Suppose starting completely over isn’t as easy as it sounded.”

Addy took a step forward, almost as if she were going to press herself against the length of the naked man before her, but she instead darted to the side at the last moment, the soft fabric of her clothes brushing against Kovac’s skin in her passing. He would feel the thump of his own against his bare back when she tossed them his way. “Get dressed. I think you should write me a song.” When he turned, Addy was kneeling on the edge of their blanket, replacing the bowls of food and glasses of wine to their original positions, tossing the hunter a lopsided smile as she settled back down, leaning back onto her hands with her legs stretched before her and crossed lightly at the ankles. “I don’t think I’ve ever had a song written for me before.”

It was just about all the apology he was going to get. For now.

Shameless in his nudity, Kovac stood his ground, having said his peace, looking at the back of Aidara and waiting for her to turn on him. He could see her fists ball up at her sides, her form stiffen at his words. For most of the time he had known the woman, their conversations had consisted of calculated flirting that occasionally built to volatile argument. This time, maybe for the first time, the mongrel had spoken to her from his heart. Kovac's own ire ruffled when she accused him of playing with her for all those seasons. The truth was, as he saw it, they had played each other. Maybe the Avora had misunderstood that Addy's persistent flirting was more than just play. But that is why the half-breed had placed the healer at the top of his list of those of which he needed to make things right. Kovac wanted a chance to find out what really existed, or could exist, between he and the fiery Inartan.

Aidara's countenance relaxed, or simply fell, and there was more exhaustion than surrender in her features. It was no longer a 'who won' thing for Kovac. He too was tired of games. Simple fact was he liked Addy, was madly attracted to her, and he considered her a friend. Kovac had never openly confessed it, but after the healer had saved his life in the Unforgiving, she had pretty much ensured she would receive the Avora's love, forgiveness and support no matter what. It was obvious their personalities clashed, which explained why both of them found being together frustrating at times. Times like this.

The petite woman stood torturously close, brushing against his bare skin as she passed, as if even unconsciously she could not help but tempt him. The Avora turned and picked up the tossed clothes and dressed himself as Addy reset the picnic. He watched her small delicate hands work, her lean figure folded onto her knees. Aidara seemed so small as she sat on the blanket, yet her presence was so powerful. Yes, starting over was not an easy thing. The question was, was it worth it?

Dressed again, Kovac stepped over to the blanket, the wry grin Addy sported really all Kovac needed to see that all was not lost. She had asked for a song, one written for her, and the Avora then flashed her his own signature sardonic smile. Moving again to sit across from her, he laughed lightly under his breath.

"Addy, you have had a song written for you." He grinned. "Did you not find that the tune I just played for you resonated at all? I wrote that over a year ago, it was inspired totally by you, I wrote it for you. I just didn't have the opportunity, or courage, to play it for you." He shrugged, a but self-conscious at his confession. Though it may have sounded like a cop out to the woman, it was very much the truth, it is why he chose to play it that evening.

"But I suppose you would like lyrics as well? You know I don't sing, but I could find the inspiration to write words to your song. And give it a better title than just 'Addy's Song.'" He picked up the lute again, strumming a few chords. Then he took the wine cup in front of him and inched it towards Addy. "Could you top me off?"

“I will give you the time, I suppose, to concoct something brilliant and worthy of bearing my name.” The grin that flashed across her blush-darkened face was only partially self-sacrificing, because she knew she was worth it. Addy wasn’t completely oblivious to the effect she had on others, even if she didn’t always play the situation correctly. Her emotions really did get in the way of her ever being a merciless seductress. “And I know you have written me that song. It was supposed to get a rise out of you. But that doesn’t mean I can’t want more, does it? It’s like giving a kid sweets. You think one sweet is going to satisfy them after they’ve gotten a taste for it? No, I don’t think so.”

Leaning across the blanket, she tipped the remainder of the wine bottle into Kovac’s glass before reclining back on her elbows once more, her green eyes back to molten emerald as they flickered past Kovac and onto the final dying light of the evening. It was almost completely dark now that Syna had gone to sleep, Leth’s light not quite bright enough to pierce through the clouds that had rolled in while the couple fought. “It’s going to get cold soon, and unless you have another surprise up your sleeve, I don’t think there is enough here to warm us through the night.”

Sipping from her own glass, savoring the last splash of wine the remained, Addy couldn’t help but sigh and shake her head. “It’s stupid, this tango we’re doing. I know what we are both saying and both of us stoutly refuse to say it.” She didn’t meet his gaze as she spoke, though a smile crooked the corner of her mouth. “I guess it’s because we’re both stubborn and both have hurt the other in some way, multiple times. But what’s the use in hiding what we both know is there, eh?”

Turning so that she could catch his gaze, Addy sat silently as her face slowly drained of any sort of merriment; her expression remained a serious one, if a bit thoughtful, until she spoke once more. “I may be with Sira. We may have a daughter, and we both may sleep with anything that moves but… That doesn’t mean I don’t love you, Kovac.” Addy offered a small smile, shy and sweet and completely out of the ordinary for the little woman. It was clearly an uncomfortable topic for the woman who, despite wearing hear heart on her sleeve, found it very difficult to actually talk about her feelings. “And that’s that. You’re stuck with me, whether you want to be or not so get used to it and remember to save your bed for me at least sometimes.” And, of course, she had to ruin the moment by sticking out her tongue at him whilst raising her glass towards him for a clinking toast. “Either way, to us.”

[Cedar Amphitheater] Making Amends (Aidara)

Postby Kovac on May 8th, 2013, 4:26 pm

Aidara was like the unpredictable storms of the Unforgiving, a tumult of wind and thunder one moment, the next, a tempting lull that lures you out into the open. She did it to Kovac time and time again. But he didn't mind. Even as she reclined on the blanket, sultry and confident, she too knew that the half-breed could not resist her in spite of her volatility, or maybe because of it.

The Avora gave Addy a wry grin, taking another drink of wine as his emerald eyes shifted between her own green gaze and the movement of her lips. Aidara had once again captured his enrapt attention when she began to speak honestly about, well, them. The woman averted her gaze, but Kovac's eyes never left her.

She was right, finally, one of them said it. For so long they used flirtation almost as a wall to protect them from deeper affections. They were a pair in that they were equally stiff-necked and contrary, mutually preventing the truth from ever reaching admission.

At last, Addy's gaze fixed upon Kovac's. The man had never seen her so serious, even when she was saving his life. It was a pensive look, not a worried one, and he saw, maybe for the first time, the real Aidara, or at least, an Aidara he had not been permitted to meet. Kovac remained still and silent as she revealed her heart to him, the man seeing the difficulty with which Aidara shared her feelings.

The revelation was a shock, and freeing, in that Kovac could finally admit to himself his own feelings towards the woman. Momentarily stunned, his composure and a boyish smile quickly returned as he lifted his glass to tap against Aidara's.

Words failed Kovac for a moment, though the softness in his usually rakish gaze reflected mutual sentiments. "I love you too Addy." The words sounded strange coming out of his mouth, yet, it was true. "We are two of a kind, you and I, we certainly should stick together. Hopefully Wind Reach can survive the two of us." His sincere smile took a wry twist, an emerald eye winking. "And, there is always room in my bed for you, even if we have to shove someone onto the floor."
