Built high in the massive branches of Taldera's bloodwood forest, The Spires is a city crafted by the peaceful and scholarly Jamoura. Considered a haven for scholars and sages Mizahar-wide, The Spires is a mecca of philosophy and science that draws people from far and wide with its promise of deeper thinking and higher reasoning.

Xi awaited on the answers to his questions and placed the quill back into the ink pot again. Jut focusing over and mulling over his own thoughts on the solution in front of him. Mulling over the possible things that he could do with it however nasrin's words were by far more enlightening that he'd hoped. Most herbs could be used in the oil, though camomile almond oil was better, but almond oil went off faster. Rancid olive oil smelt of rotten nuts and if tased would feel very greasy. Also if it moulded over then it would be a visible mould sometimes black but mostly white. Picking the quill back up he began to write again.
The oil for the salve can be used with multiple different herbs and as such will be a much more potent blank slate.
The oil can go rancid if it does it will smell of bad nuts and feel extremely greasy in the mouth. Mould might also appear this mould is often white but can occasionally be black. If black then dispose of IMMEDIATELY.
Sweet smelling herbs are better used in oil of almonds than the oil of olives.
This book of his was coming together nicely, and he'd only just started it but already it held some very useful information not least of which was the salves and the fact that different oils were better used with different herbs. Dabbing the quill back in to the ink he continued on with the writing making some little notes for himself. At once though he sat back at attention awaiting more instruction from nasrin. |

Nasrin efficiently capped the jar and placed it on her bedside stand for the moment; she would attend to it and place it into its proper place when the lesson with Ximal was over. For now, she grabbed a jar of comfrey oil that was all ready to be made into salves, creams, or lip balms. This part of the process she would allow him to be more hands on; the best way to learn was to do for one's self.
She set in front of him two small jars, made of thick blown glass instead of clay. She also set before him a rag, and gestured to the wide bowl of water sitting on the table.
"First thing. Clean jars with water and dry thoroughly with cloth. Simple but important. Tell me when you finish."
While he was doing that, Nasrin set about getting the rest of the supplies he would need. A dish for melting the oil, as well as a few teaspoons of beeswax and a choice of essential oils for him to scent the resulting salve. |
