Birds of a feather, do not work well together(Dye)

A meeting with a rather strange bird, who seems quite as vile as any other woman in this city.

A city floating in the center of a lake, Ravok is a place of dark beauty, romance and culture. Behind it all though is the presence of Rhysol, God of Evil and Betrayal. The city is controlled by The Black Sun, a religious organization devoted to Rhysol. [Lore]

Birds of a feather, do not work well together(Dye)

15th of Fall, 512av
Morning
The first hour he was awake had been spent readying himself for his morning routine, and practicing a little bit of shielding magics. A bit of meditation, centering on his long used focus of the frozen waterfalls of Avanthal and letting his breathing mellow into a steady cadence.

A rise and fall of his chest bringing air in and out of his lungs. Soothing his mind by controlling the processes of the body before gossamer strands of djed were begun to be spun from his fingertips. Stretching and linking themselves in an azure pattern of a net that swathed his kukri like a net. Flashing once to the naked eye before fading out of sight. It's form tasked against blocking djed before dispelling it.

He was crafting shields easier now, almost at a level he could presume to be confident with experimenting with new things. But not yet. Such things would come in time, for now he was concentrating on speed, and leveling out the thickness of the shields he cast. Seeking to determine faster and better ways to do it.

At times he would create a shield with gusto, seeking to get it ready faster and faster. Other times he would take time, and strain his senses, weaving the tightest threads of djed like a shuttler over a loom. During these times, he would have a chortling falcon create air from craw to see the shield flicker as the djed based reimancy of wind washed over it's surface. To the eye, 'tickling' it's presence back into a flare of power. He had long since discovered the falcon's efforts couldn't pierce his craftings, but it was amusing to watch her flutter about and try.

After an hour though, he stopped. This was for two reasons, it was time for him to go. A semblance of waking the sleeping Shai with a kiss.

The second reason was far simpler; he was lost in his thoughts.

Ravok, gods above he hated the place already. Old familiarity from life as a street rat here kept surging to the forefront of his consciousness. Even if he sometimes found some of the most amusing days just by walking or running around it's canals and streets.

Still, he was rather miffed at a certain, lack of progress in certain venues. An underlying frustration that seemed to awaken his meanest streak in taken amusement, (better then their lives) at other's misfortune. Just the other day he had had such a pleasant day observing a young girl, her runaway pet cat, and a pack of wild street dogs that wanted to chow down upon it. Such memories might distract him from unleashing the darker sides of his nature. Though he still imagined there were plenty of people in this city he wished to hunt down and slaughter for repayment of the deaths in his family.

It was only a matter of time to find them.

But until then, he was slightly miffed no matter how patient he was.

However, appearances of his consternation at his present circumstances aside, it was a pretty good day. The sun was up, the lakeside mists were burning off steadily in Syna's early light. Soon he would go out into the streets, heading off towards the nearest bar for a bit of breakfast before making his way round to the shops to get gear for his next foray into the woods that stretched far beyond Ravok's lake shore waterfront. At least hunting kept him sane to a point. Well enough to function and commit the real actions he wanted to take within the city to a minimum.

But amusing himself at other's expense was a fun thing too.

It wasn't as if they couldn't take a bit of well earned teasing. Though perhaps a few were worthy of being friendly, if not friends with. Only time would tell. Sighing, gathering his things and placing Ellise, his falcon kelvic onto his shoulder, the rogue turned towards the door to make his way out into the streets.
"I am the Shadow and the smoke in your eyes, I am the ghost that hides in the night."
