13th Day of Fall, just after sunset
Star sighed and quickly ran to the mouth of the alley. She pulled her cloak around her tighter and looked back and forth before running to the edge of the water. She and the cloak, being her only piece of clothing, was ragged and dirty. She had dodged many attacks and groping hands and felt lucky just to be alive. She took the cloak off herself and dipped it into the water, rubbing the material together to clean it.
Star laid the cloak out on the ground and braced herself as she stepped into the cold water. She shuddered and tried to quickly scrub dirt off herself with her hands then quickly ducked underwater to at least rinse her hair. She stepped out and looked down as she picked up the cloak. She winced as she saw the scar from her past life and the images flashed before her eyes again. She shook her head and wrapped the damp cloak around herself again, whimpering a bit as she shivered . She started down the street to find somewhere to hide for the night when she saw a very...odd creature. It was fuzzy and seemed to be moving extremely slowly. She approached it cautiously and poked its nose. |

Itt’s first day in Sunberth had been odd and not exactly friendly. It was hard for him to get around without being shoved out of the way and it took him some rude conversations to just get himself a pair of pants and shirt that he would most likely never use. So, in attempts to stay out of the unfavorable environment, he stayed away from busy streets and stayed on rooftops and alleys. Only in the alleys to find something to eat since he didn’t like the vendors at all.
At the moment, he was crawling out of one of the piles, having some junk fall on him that he had no idea what it was. As soon as he poked his head out, someone had poked his nose awkwardly. He wiggled his nose in confusion. Was there something on his nose? He didn’t bother trying to look, knowing there probably was since he was just in the trash. His little hands and claws pulled his way out of the trash. His brown eyes looked up at the Eth, observing the odd horns on its head. It wasn’t like antler on a deer,, but glossy and an odd color.
Tilting his head to the side, Somnus shifted into a boy with dark tan skin and short brown hair. He didn’t mind that he wasn’t wearing his shirt and pants, but looked at the girl awkwardly,”Whaaaaaat waaaaaassss thaaaaaaat foooooorr?” He questioned, rubbing his nose.

Star giggled a little bit as it wiggled its nose then squeaked and backed up as it started crawling out of the trash. It didn't look that dangerous but it had claws. Besides that, she had learned on her first day in Sunberth that looks can be very decieving. Star yelped and jumped at a flash of light, causing her to stumble on some trash and fall.
She lost hold of the cloak as she landed on her rear and started to scramble to find it when she realized that the cute, fuzzy creature was no longer fuzzy. Instead, there was a young naked boy in front of her. Her first instinct was to cower and try to get away, until she realized that he was only asking her a question.
"Y-you just looked cute and fuzzy and I was curious...I wanted to pet you..." she said softly, giggling a bit at how slow this boy seemed to be. |
