18th Fall 512AV
Early, early morning, just before the sun rose. Stalking through the low trees of the jungle Xi began to hunt not for game nor for other animals but for those who hunted people. Tracking some foot prints left in the soft earth Xi was finally lead to a place of grate avail. A small empty slaver camp. Xi stepped into the small expanse of the camp and began to search it. The small camp housed enough room for three beds. and four bundles of items. However this was the least of his worries. Xi didn't find any slavers or poachers...which meant that this want exactly his best find, even though it was a good one. Slow breaths permeated his lungs as he headed through the small camp to the sacks...and what he found was not what he'd expected...Bones. Not just any bones, fangs and claws, as best he could tell, bear claws and wolf fangs. Hunting through the bag he pulled out a handful of both. Just how many did they kill ? Xi began to check every bag, one with fangs and claws, another with pelts, and one more with...Meat. At least these people took everything. Xi felt his hands grip around the claws and fangs. Searching through other things in the camp Xi came across very little. It seems that either the slavers/ poachers were off hunting. Or someone else had killed them and not known about the camp. Either way.
The sun began to crest and break over the top of the horizon shining down into the jungle searing orange glares of light. Xi scouted the camp and found a few things he hadn't expected. A harness made for weapons of many varieties...Which fit him...Strange...Secondly he found a a belt with a lot of pouches tied around it and a pouch belt. Xi fitted it around his waist whilst taking the weapon harness with him, he rummaged through the belt before finding a pocket that was not empty. Pulling out the piece of parchment Xi dumped the claws and fangs his hand held in there instead. Unfolding the parchment it was something he'd never expected. It backed up what neekra had said. The locations of the slaver camps. Now he had definitive proof and proof that the first slaver camp was only a mile or two south of the spires itself. Now all he had to do was find one or two people willing enough, brave enough or stupid enough to go along with him. Fantastic. Smiling he thought he'd better get out of there before the slavers returned. It was out of his normal nature but now he could really do some damage to their operation. Some what grinning to himself XI headed back towards the spires. |

Leaving the slaver camp behind him Xi headed off and away from it. Having looted it Xi headed out into a small clearing in the forest, the trees wide and the small clearing a good place for to wall him in. the gaps between the trees wide enough for only the smallest of creatures yet it was peaceful. Reaching into the pouch at his side he pulled out one of the bear claws, and began examining it. The slow curvature and the sharpened point at the end of it. Xi mulled over the look of the bear claw. The look of it was a small taper Xi sat on the stump that inhabited this small clearing of trees and examined the claw intently. Making sure to study every point of the claw. Watching the structure of it, and trying to liken it into what he could think of it as, and the only thing that felt similar in texture was his nails. Hard and sharp.
Focusing on the claw and his finger tips he tried to have his brain force his djed to mould his body to what he wanted. Pressing and compressing the flesh of his finger tips and re angling his nails. Elongating them, curling the flesh around them and incorporating the claw into his finger tip. his eyes focused intently upon the claw he held in his right hand whilst he allowed his left to mould into shape, allowing the finger tips to fold and morph into the bear claws. Holding the thought of the claw until he could feel his hand morph completely not focusing on the procedure but focused on the thing it would turn into , the likeness of his own nails merging into the claw and becoming a hard firm point. Suddenly he listed his hand, and looked upon how it had transformed. Th protruding claws vicious and sharp. "OOOOH very malicious and beastial. Suits me more than you, but still it suits this body better. For once liro was right but Xi couldnt let him know that his left hand felt...More powerful, almost ravenous in it's want to tear at some thing. He could feel a strong pulse of blood lust leek out of him as he flexed his fingers. Still it felt odd. Closeing his eyes he responded to liro. No it feels strange if i'm going to fight i fight as a human. Though if i am in stealth hunter mode....Then perhaps i may use it. Placeing the claw back into the pouch at his side, he looked at his right hand, useing it as the basis of his return to normality, retracting the claws back into nails, the while process was clunky and felt somewhat painful, as his hand shifted back and forth growing removing repairing and stretching his flesh and bone structure to normality. |
