Kenept Oraji Physical Description: Name: Kenept Oraji Race: Human Age: 19 Birthday: 46th Fall 493 Height: 6'1" Weight: 150 lbs Eye Color: Dark Blue Hair Color: Black Character Concept: Growing up with his brother, Kenept was used to company, and enjoyed company. He was a happy child, who often liked to explore things. Some would call him adventurous, other would say he was curious. If it was something new to him, he would more than likely want to pursue it. When he was young, Kenept often had aspirations of becoming a warrior, like most kids. But as he grew up, he changed from wanting to be a full on warrior. Once he was disowned from his home, and delved into Reimancy more, he became a little more reserved, but still valued relationships. Kenept prefers the life of a hidden blade. Only using a blade when the need is desperate. Because of this, he keeps himself fit, as most people these days do. He is not sure where he is going at the moment, but wants to honor his brother by continuing the pursuit of Reimancy. Character History: Kenept was the second and last born to his parents, born in the city of Alvadas. His older brother, Ceva, was born two years beforehand. Kenept's father took profession a blacksmith, and his mother, a cook. Because of their father's profession, Kenept and his brother grew up around weapons and armor, but because they lived in the city they were only allowed to use weapons in private. Even still, the boys were allowed to train themselves in some small forms of combat. When they were not training, they were sometimes with their Mother, learning the basics about cooking, and about some survival, as their mother had been a traveler before she met their father. Growing up, Kenept, and Ceva, were never allowed to leave the city, as it was deemed unsafe by their parents, but were free to roam the city as they pleased. Because of being allowed to run the city, Kenept knew of many locations in Alvadas that his mother and father may or may not have wanted him to find out about. One of which was a peculiar man's house that Kenept and Ceva watched intently. After a couple years of watching, the boys believed the man to be a wizard in the art of Reimancy. When Kenept was 15, he and Ceva approached the man and asked him to teach them to be mages themselves. It took a lot of time and pleading with the man to get him to agree. And he told them that the only reason that he was agreeing was because he could see a lot of potential in the young lads. He did however, warn them of the risks involved with beginning to learn Reimancy, primarily the risks that ran with the initiation process. But the boys pleaded that they were strong and could handle whatever they needed to. This mage, who remained anonymous to the boys, and most of the city, ran through the initiation just as it was brought about to him. Gashes were cut into the palms of their hands, and they were made to kneel down and wait for him. What Kenept felt was something that he could not explain, but he was glad that his brother experienced the same thing. the mage filled Kenept's body with Res, it poured through his mouth and nose, as well as finding it's way into the gashes in his hands. The next thing that Kenept remembered was waking up on the ground, shaking, and in immense pain. But it had been done. Kenept and Ceva had both endured the initiation. And for the next couple years, they trained under the mage, finding their natural element. Fire for Kenept and stone for Ceva. A few days after Kenept turned 19, his parents overheard him and Ceva talking about magic. Out of disgust, and out of concern, their parents kicked them out, told them to leave the city. They were kicked out because their parents feared their reputation would be destroyed. Kenept and Ceva were on their own, with little supplies and money, and had decided to head towards Lhavit, a place that they may could study. In the midst of Kalea, they two brothers were attacked by a group of bandits, during which Ceva, was fatally wounded. Before Ceva died, he gave Kenept an earring that he had always worn. It was something that he had found in the city, and treasured it. As he died, he placed the earring in Kenept's hand and said "Always remember me, I'll always be with you." Kenept continued on his way, fulfilling his brother's wish and goal, making his way to Lhavit. Before long, Kenept found himself within eyesight of the city, where the rest of his life would begin.
