First Impressions Summer 20th, 508 AV The fish market today was bustling with locals, both civilian and merchant alike, when Ricky and Odis had made their way through. The street being swept by the feet of man, woman, fisherman, sailor, and every other type of person in this city. It's bustle slightly irritated Ricky as he was eager to reach the docks, had he known the market would be crowded today he would not have taken the scenic route. As Ricky did his best to gently nudge around some people, he lost his balance in the process; running into a stall to catch himself. "Hey! Watch whatcha doin you big headed brute!" A woman exclaimed as he turned around to apologize. "Sorry lass!" He said as he looked upon her, a humble smile now upon his lips. She had hair that was dirtier then sand in color, and eyes that seem to be the color of the ocean at night. Her frown meant that she wasn't happy however, as Ricky clearly had crossed a line. "Yeah you better be sorry! If you had knocked over any of my stock you'd be regrettin it!" Her voice was firm if not somewhat subtle, and very aggravated by the sound of her tone. "Look lass I apologize! I'm in a hurry to-" She cut him off before he could finish, her brow creasing in a deep angry expression. "Apologize?! Does an apology cover the amount of money I lose in earnings?! Not likely if the quality is lost because of an accidental bump an overgrown idiot happens to do!" Her slightly tanned skin became red as she ranted on, her eyes now glaring at Ricky. He hadn't the slightest clue what to say or do, he just shrugged with his fishing kit and rod in hand. When she looked like her head was about to explode from her aggravation, a card played by Ricky's companion was put in to play. "Hmmhmmmh." Odis whined to pull her attention, when the girl looked over the stall to see the pup her expression changed. Odis was playing the puppy dog stare with her, and was winning the game fast. When he licked his muzzle a grin appeared upon her face. "Why hello poochy!" She cheered in delight, she came around the stall to greet the pup. 'Poochy?' Ricky looked lost on that one, he has heard plenty of dog, pup, doggy, and puppy; but poochy? Really? 'This one is an odd ball.' He thought to himself as he gave a fake smile, watching the girl receive Odis' slobbery kisses with giggles. |
