A day in the life

Postby Zantos Forgehand Pitrius on November 14th, 2012, 4:36 am

The sun streams in through the open door of Zantos' house. It cascades over his head waking him from his sleep. He sits up and throws his covers aside as he walks towards his table to pick up a few papers. He sorts through them as he steps outside to his forge while reading his commissions. He picks up wood and tosses it in his forge as he starts to pump to build the flames to the right temperature. He picks up a steel bar with his left arm and turns it measuring with his mind for the task at hand. He lays it aside and starts the walk from the nearby river to gain water for the cooling vat next to the forge. As he fills it he takes a drink from the bucket and once the vat is full he dunks his head in to wake himself fully. He sets about his task of turning the large piece of steel into a hanger for a lantern. As the metal becomes mailable he plants the cool end into the earth and grips the molten end with his left arm bending it to the right angle before using his hand to twist the end into a point and hook to sit the lantern in. He steps back to look at it and starts to smooth out the edges and make it a suitable piece for the business in town that ordered it. He lays it down in his house with the commission letter beside it with the payment he's asking for it. As he lays that one aside he picks up a sign he made for a local tavern and walks into town not caring that he's only wearing a loincloth. He walks up to the tavern presents the sign and collects his fee of fifty gold for fixing the sign and bids them a good day as he walks back to his home to toss the gold in his trunk with the rest of his earnings and collections.

A day in the life

Postby Rinstii on November 15th, 2012, 1:05 am

*Rinstii had left her apartment in the citadel of Sultros. She had been watching the Isurians walking about their daily lives, while she stayed quietly in the shadows. The metal collar around her neck was bothering her as of late. Seeming to get smaller and smaller on her. But unable to remove it in her current form. Still silently grieving over her previous owner. As Rinstii moved from shadow to shadow, she looked carefully at each Isurian, wondering which one to choose to try and ask for help the only way she knew how. The collar was slowly choking her to death as time went by. Granted, she was still growing alittle. Stopping every chime to rest whenever her vision became blurred. She sees one Isurian in particular as he wore a simple attire, carrying a sign. Watching him a moment, she decided to follow him. After what seemed an eternity to her, Rinstii sees him giving the sign he carried to another, and being paid for it. She takes a rest in the shadows as she watches him exchange words with the one another. As the Isurian began to move back the way he'd come, Rinstii gets up to follow him again. Even running ahead a little ways then resting, to see if he still headed in that direction, panting hard and shallow as breathing was alittle difficult. Each time she saw him coming, she would wait until he had completely passed her before getting up to run past him again. She follows him to where ever it was he headed for. As she keeps this up for who knew how long, Rinstii was scrambling on a way to ask for help.*

'Please.. Please help..' *She thought*

*She starts to meow at him as the crowds seemed to thin out while he kept walking. Her mind scrambling for another way to gain his attention. Despair spreading over her as he walks into his home. She pads up to the door and scratches fiercely at it. And meowing as loud as she was able to. Having to rest after only a few moments as the excursion was taking it's toll. Then she tries again persistently, hoping desperately the Isurian inside will open the door.*

"Meow..!! Meow!!" (Desperate scratching noises onto the door)

A day in the life

Postby crossmyheart on November 15th, 2012, 1:16 am

She Craned her neck forwards, a smirk of integrity crossing over her eyes. Her expression, to the much delayed, was blank. Her pale skin seemed to melt into her white hair as it fell over her shoulders, tossing around in the small gust of wind that twisted itself around her small frame. The frail women seemed a bit to young, and a bit to weak for the type of life she led. Her small feet comforted only by the bare fabrics of small ballet shoes, crunched against the soft morning grass. Her piercing blue eyes were sharp and weighed with amusement as she pushed open the door, peeking inside of the small building. Her ghostly form wafting across the hard wood. Her bow sending a glow of light across the floor in a series of magnificent reflections. She kept her eyes down trained to the wall, resting her back up against the sturdy build. Her hair falling over her small face as she tapped her foot lightly against the ground. Emily's heart began to race lightly as she hummed under her breath, forcing herself to look out the window. The never ending feeling of being watched, haunting her mind. She sighed, pushing the long rough fabric back over the sill of the pane, a small mist mingling around her fingers as she did so. She rested her back against the door once again, her tedious thoughts overwhelming her small mind. Emily shook her head, changing into a more adequate attire, before appearing outside the door once agian. Making sure to look around to see if anyone had noticed. Then locking the door behind her with her small ring of keys, the other two for the library. She made her way across the small town, looking for her familiar building.

Zantos sits and reads through his commissions. "Ok... I need to finish that pole for the lamp, I also need to start taking more commissions. I've only got two left..." He stands up and looks out his window at the forge and the rest of the city. He hears a scratching at the door and shakes his head. "I have to get these mice taken care of..." He picks up his books on metalworking and starts to read as he hears the scratching again. He looks towards the door and lays the book down as he stands to walk towards the door. He adjusts his loincloth and opens the door looking for the source of the noise as he sees a kitten.

A day in the life

Postby Rinstii on November 15th, 2012, 3:53 am

*Panting, exhausted from such excursions, Rinstii heard the door finally open. Seeing the Isurian male standing there so big compared to her much tinier frame. Laying the black fur over her hackles down. Rinstii looked at him with her ice blue eyes a mewed. Thinking as fast as she could managed she backed up alittle then raises one black with white speckles, paw at him and paws at the air repeatedly. While doing so she meow three times. Then goes silent, then meows three more times as she thought desperately.*

'Ok...! I'm meowing weirdly here!! Surely that will be enough for you to know I'm a kelvic! Right?! Please be able to realize this!!'

*She sits down as her vision blurred suddenly. Her pants coming in sharp and shallow again. Then moving one of her paws to try scratching at the metal collar as an attempt to show him the collar was slowly getting too small for her to even breathe. Pleading in her mind over and over again, hoping desperately he would somehow realize her distress. She starts her patterned meowing again to try and aid her plea to him, even if he may not be able to understand her cat speaking as she keeps trying. Rinstii's ice blue eyes looking at him, hoping they look like they were pleading as she begged at the Isurian to remove the collar.*

"Meeeeooooooow!! Meow meow meow!! Meeeeeooooow!!"

Zantos watches the cat mew oddly. He kneels down and watches her sit as he leans over to pet her neck finding that the collar is very tight. He scoops her into his hand and picks her up looking at the collar closely seeing it's metal. He thinks it's odd that a cat would be wearing such a collar but he knows if he doesn't get it off of the cat it'll die. He nods. "Be good girl..." He carries her to his workbench and uses the window behind him to get light onto the collar. He looks over the latch and thinks for a moment as he pulls his tools out looking for the smallest one he has. He sits her on his thigh and lays the collar on the table. "Hold still kitten..." He puts the tool on the latch mechanism and picks up a hammer. He brings the hammer down hard enough to break the mechanism and unlatches it before tossing it aside. He smiles and pets her ears. "Ok girl."

A day in the life

Postby Rinstii on November 15th, 2012, 4:34 am

*Rinstii feels a flood of relief as the Isurian male did not step back to shut the door. Her rapid and shallow panting continued as she was exhausted from such excursion. Her icy blue eyes half closing on their own as she felt utterly tired out and sleepy. As the Isurian male leaned over her to have a better look, she meowed hoarsely but tries to keep it pleading. Hoping he will help to remove it. She noses his palms as he scoops her up to look at the metal collar closely. She feels more relief flooding over her as she is taken inside. She hoped still desperately the collar would be removed soon so she could breathe freely again. Listening to him speaking as she barely understood some of the Isurian language. She let's loose a feeble cry as he spoke to her. Watching him wearily as tools were taken out. As he instructs her, Rinstii holds still understanding the two words 'hold' and 'still'. She closes her icy blue eyes as he makes contact with the tools to the metal collar. She stays as still as she can manage, not wanting her fragile body to be hurt by accident by his tools.*

'Please hurry.. This collar is choking me.. Please..'

*She begs in her mind, knowing he might not be able to understand cat speak. But hopes that he does on the other hand. She keeps her eyes shut as she knows the tools are about to clang against the metal at any moment. Stopping herself from flinching as the collar comes off her neck. She opens her eyes as she breathed deeply in the air, filling her air starving lunges. And as she does so, a surge of happiness comes over her, that at that moment she wanted to thank him so badly, her body began to change into a humanoid form. Her black and white fur receding to reveal a lightly tanned skin. Soft, long, black hair with white streaks coming out of her head. The icy blue hues of her eyes staying, as the oval shape of her eyes resemble the cat form she was just in seconds before. As she formed into a human like state, no clothes were there to cover her now naked body. Modesty not in her nature, she smiled happily, but also tiredly.*

"Thank you.. I would have died.. If that collar would have stayed.. I am indebted to you..." *She speaks hoarsely to him. Her soft lips curved into a smile.*

She pushed open the small door to the library, pocketing the keys. She let off a heavy sigh as she closed the door behind her, flipping the sign that read “closed”
To “open” with some difficulty, her thin fingers seeming to go right through the metal several times, before she managed to turn it over.
She pushed open the curtains with a single hand, sending instant light tumbling across the room. She nodded her head in agreement, the room was perfect. Emily made her way across the room, her shoes scuffing off the wooden floors. She set down on her small chair, drawing her vision out to rest on the book in front of her. She tediously read, waiting for a few clients to arrive. No later than she had finished reading the first chapter, the bell above the door rang irritatingly loud. She looked over her book to see a kind woman approaching her direction.

“Ah good morning Ms. Emily.”
the cheerful lady sang out, practically gliding across the floor to her desk. Emily smiled in return.
“And a good morning to you too Mrs. Albes.”
She said quietly, standing politely from her desk to tilt her head to look at her “what can I help you with?” “Oh nothing much.. Just look for something new to read.” She said with a toss of her hair, her growing belly indicating that she must be pregnant once again. Emily smiled lightly at her, pointing across the desk to a small book, one with a worn cover but a silver bookmark dangling from the pages. “I just finished this one, it was quite romantic.” She suggested, her long white hair falling over one of her shoulders. “I will!” she woman said happily, leaving the store as suddenly as she had come. But soon the light turned to the falling darkness of night. Emily swiftly closing the blinds behind her as she started to close up shop. She turned to her desk to begin packaging up the left over stories she had not finished, when an abrupt thump came from the opposing side of the room. She jumped, turning her head to look that way, but not giving it much attention. She returned to her work, before another loud bang crossed her ears yet again.

She felt very afraid, her instincts telling her to run for the door, however she did not. She stood from her desk, her footsteps whispering around the quiet room. Until someone lunged at her from the opposing side, bearing a weapon of some sort. She screamed, her ghostly form falling against the ground rather softly, as her blue eyes peaked wide in fear. “W-WHAT A-aaa-r’’ She started to yelp. The figure draped in black putting his full weight upon her. Moving the weapon down towards her throat. “sssstay quiet.” It hissed, obviously not human if it was able to touch her and not flinch back from the cold. Her small form blinked in and out, unable to stay tangible any longer as she dissapeared from sight. The person still able to somehow keep a grasp upon her. .

A day in the life

Postby Zantos Forgehand Pitrius on November 17th, 2012, 6:18 am

Zantos jumps back slightly from his bench as the female appears from where the cat was sitting. He shakes his head and looks up as she speaks.

"No need to thank me... I couldn't let a creature be it animal or otherwise suffer needlessly."

He picks up his book and smiles as kindly as he can to a stranger as he takes his seat back at the desk.

"Is there anything further I can help you with?"

A day in the life

Postby Rinstii on November 17th, 2012, 12:53 pm

*Slowly Rinstii moves one of her legs to the side and over the workbench she is perched on. Once her small bare foot is onto the ground, the rest of her slender frame follows, until she is standing fully on the ground. Her icy blue eyes trained on the Isurian. Her body felt more tired then ever as it shook. Knowing this would happen, but wanted badly to say 'thank you' to him instead of running off like a normal cat would.*

"Mmmmmm...only one Sir.. Might I know the name of the Isurian that saved my life? My name is Rinstii.."

*Her black and white strands of hair was long enough to fall over half of her front. Staying near the desk as she watched him curiously. Rinstii's small toes curling in as they were cold now that there was skin instead of fur on them.*

'I've forgotten how cold it can be for my skin..' *She thinks humorlessly. As she had asked him his name, her eyes glance around the room, her curiosity befitting her feline nature. But tired out from the excursion of not getting enough air into her lungs. Then the change from cat to humanoid. The toll was there, because no sooner then she looked around at a glance her vision blurs and spins. This results in her swaying sharply and dropping to all fours abruptly.*

'I really should be more careful when changing like this...' *She thinks quietly.*
